I've been on a fried rice kick - I just cannot get enough. I ordered a takeaway from Golden China to try another spot while I search for my replacement favorite of the now closed China Dynasty 161. I also decided to order some Sesame beef because it's my birthday and I'm gonna need some post drinking sustenance later. Maybe Lucky House Westerville has me spoiled but Sesame beef should have a bit of a crunch to it being that it's battered and fried. This soggy stuff is not appealing. I'm hoping my air fryer can save the day later. The fried rice was unfortunately mediocre. I paid $2 more for extra egg and I don't think I got what I consider extra egg. The chicken in it seems to be the most quality chicken I've seen in a fried rice dish, however. Given the sheer portion and the fact that it gets the job done in terms of "hitting the spot" - I think 3 stars is merited as a result. The Americanized Chinese basic dishes aren't as delicious as they could be (including the egg rolls) so think it's a one and done for me. read more

Pretty standard, mainly carryout Chinese place. The usual large menu, but no special items. Lots of takeout ordering going on, but I dined in and it was clean and comfy. Prices were maybe a little high, but portions were large. I had my usual comparison dishes- Mongolian beef and crab Rangoon. The Mongolian beef was a solid version: lots of beef, fairly tender. Lots of white onions, some green ones, with a decent sauce- not overly salty. Came with perfectly cooked rice. The Rangoons were a surprise: big, almost square, freshly made. Not a ton of crab inside, but enough little bits to add to the flavor. Handy, good not great, glad I tried it but not worth going out of the way for. read more

Ordered deliver to the Fairview Inn after a long flight from Arizona. I ordered the sesame chicken combo and my companion ordered the Mongolian beef. The food was good and definitely hit the spot. Two entrees is more than enough for three people. My only regret is I wish I would have ordered an entire order of the crab ragoons as they were delicious. I do wish the deliver was quicker since we were given the menu from the front desk I thought the delivery would be swift but it took about 45 minutes which was fine as they gave us a heads up on the phone when we ordered. Staff on the phone was polite and professional and I would definitely be willing to order from this place again. read more

Ordered delivery last night and will definitely do so again! Heads up, they prefer cash and charge a small fee (less than a dollar for a $50 bill) for credit card payment. We ordered veggie fried rice, crab Rangoon, shrimp egg rolls, teriyaki chicken, boneless spare ribs, chicken wings, and Singapore chow mei fun. Everything except the fried rice was delicious, and the fried rice was just okay. It tasted a bit like the packages of microwave ready Uncle Ben's rice packs, but I imagine a different variety of the fried rice might be better. Big portions. Good flavors. Sticky steamed white rice. The steamed tofu with vegetables was enough to feed a family of four. General Tso's chicken pretty impressive I'm picky about that. I called to order and had a simple request that they combine the chicken with cashews and shrimp with cashews combo plates and make it half and half instead and charge me for the more expensive entree. They copped an attitude and told me it's not on the menu, they don't do that, and I could get "extra" shrimp added to the chicken at the cost of half of another entree ($4). I told them to forget it. I'll never order from them in the future. I'll also be sure to tell everyone I know that they are so unaccommodating and slam them on every social media site I can find. I placed a order for Wor Sue Gai for pick-up and asked for extra sauce to be put on the chicken. What I got was a container with vegetables on the bottom and chicken laying on the top. A small container of sauce followed by a larger container of sauce for which I was charged $1.50 extra. No sauce at all on the chicken. The sauce was real dark and tasted more like it should have been on beef and not chicken.There was no lettuce.This is one of my favorite meals and I have never gotten it with no lettuce. I called the restaurant and was told they do not have lettuce but give you vegetables instead. This ruined the whole meal and most of it went in the trash can. I have lived in Gahanna for 30 years and this was my first and last time getting food from this restaurant. It was awful and they should be ashamed to serve it. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I have never had casual chinese food as bad as this in my life. I didn't order from this place expecting a five star restaurant, or even a four star or even a three star place. Panda Express in the mall is better than this restaurant. The food smelled horribly when we opened the containers. We tried to eat it and ended up throwing it all in the garbage. I was so tempted to call them and ask them if they really thought this was food. I made my husband smell the cashew chicken and I thought he was going to throw up. I feel like I wasted $46....and since this was "fast" food, that's really a lot of money for 3 meals. I am so mad that I wasted my money. The food is average for a Chinese restaurant. It's cheap, and the phrase you get what you pay for comes into play here. I enjoy eating it with my friends for lunch because they have a nice lunch special. It doesn't even matter if the food is good or not because the people are extremely rude. There is a woman who is rude and doesn't know how to accommodate to costumes. They don't own up to their mistakes, and give rude looks to us when they mess up our order and we ask them to fix it. Basically it seems like they hate their life and job, which is unacceptable when working with customers. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you are looking for pleasant staff. Good prices, good food. Again, family owned. My favorite is the sweet and sour chicken. They are one of the few that give vegetables in with the meat. Pineapple, onions, green peppers in with the meal. Nice dining environment. Very good tasting sauces, good chicken wings. read more

I ordered the house style bean curd (tofu), 2 spring rolls and vegetable fried rice. The 2 spring rolls were good. The bean curd meal with white rice was eh, the actual vegetables were tastier than the bean curd. I ate it because I was very hungry. I didn't like how crispy and dark (too much soy sauce) the tofu was. Also and most importantly it was too salty. The vegetable fried rice was also too salty for no reason! Like seriously do they even taste their food?? Chill out with the seasoning people! I've never eaten such salty food from an Asian restaurant before. I dined here on 5/19/14 and that will be my first and last time there. By the way, my meat eater friend enjoyed her meal but she is a heavy salt eater so I think her opinion was biased. I enjoy ordering the vegetable lo mein and crab ragoon... it is delicious and delivery. I have had a problem with bigger orders and have had my a meal forgotten. When this happened it took a few phone calls to get the money refunded which was slightly annoying. read more

Sorry. This has to b the worst food I have ever eaten. New to the area and got a mailer. Ordered Moo Goo Gai Pan. Dish was 99% mushrooms, the chicken must have been sitting out as it was tough and appeared to be a strange yellow color. So the food is not bad, which is why I gave two stars, however horrible service! I've actually ordered take-out here several times. Today I ordered garlic shrimp as I have in the past. Came home, started laundry, and feed my two year old son. Then I went to prepare my dinner to eat...opened the take-out container, and found garlic chicken. There is a decent price difference between the two and I had my mouth ready for shrimp. I called to report the mistake and to request a credit towards my next meal...I was told absolutely not. I either had to drive the meal back after an hour had passed so that they could exchange the meal, (whatever that means), or wait until they sent a driver to my home to"check," and exchange the meal. Really! He said that the cook verified that he had made shrimp...again, really! I know the difference between chicken and shrimp.
