So I've given the wings here three different chances and each time they tasted like fish I guess the fryer they use for the fish and the wings are the same and fish smelling and fish tasting wings are not a good experience for me. The service is always mid. The staff always looks like they're annoyed to be there and that you're an inconvenience to them. The inside is not really that clean soda machine is always dirty straw wrappers everywhere napkins on the floor food trays left on table tables there there's no upkeep overall just a horrible experience. read more

You can't buy a small drink unless you buy the kids meal so I had to get my 9 year old a huge cup for $3 kids senseless. Food was ok I've definitely had better. Can't say I'll be back. Cashier had to go ask her manager when I ordered a small drink. read more

dude! this place is awesome!! food is always good! took a while for this location to get to where it is but its turned around, super delicious! read more

Closest one to me, always friendly employees, though not always the most competent. Come on Mondays. 8 pieces, 4 delicious yeast rolls for only $7.31 including taxes; want more chicken? 15 pieces, 6 rolls for only $12.45 including taxes. Can also add sides for several dollars each. But that is never worth it really. At least if you are on a budget. We like to get half fried, half grilled. The best of both worlds. One of the few chicken fast food or not with breast that is not extremely dry. Someone's inconsistent, I did once get tender breast and was pleasantly shocked. But only once. Then again, never had bad chicken here. Unlike most fast food places their low bar is still average. And their seasoning is pretty damn good. Can be purchased to take home! read more

Coming here made me realize how lost this next generation is. (Might offend someone) Well nothing but high schoolers work here I understand completely. But when someone younger than me is a manager and can't even handle money I'm very concerned. My order was $35.. I gave them cash and a card to split the payment. I told them $23 in cash and the rest on the card. They looked at me in awe like they've never heard that before. They asked me how much I would like to pay in cash even though I just said what I would like to do, and then they asked well how much I would have to pay in card like bro whatttt. Mind you this is simple math. Then at one point I had 3 employees at the drive through window doing math all together... I get my receipt and order and I checked the order it was surprisingly correct then I check the receipt as I'm leaving and they didn't even charge me correctly... They charged me $20 and gave me $3 back and didn't even charge my card. I'm not complaining but as a reviewer I have to say this place defiantly needs some stability and help over high schoolers that aren't focused on anything else but social media. read more

Ordered fried chicken and fried okra and ended up throwing all of it away when I got home!! The dinner rolls (which I used to love when I lived in the Austin area). The dinner roll was not completely cooked, it was raw dough!! I threw it away so I wouldn't get sick. And the chicken and okra tasted burnt, like they need to change the oil!!! Won't be back. read more

The staff is always nice, clean and food is always great... they have a lot to choose from. My go to is the spicy 4pc tenders.

I was working over night in the shopping center across the street and they wouldn't sell me a sweat tea unless I had a vehicle even though I'm 15 steps away from the establishment.... read more

Amazing Chicken love the fries and chicken Amazing work your doing love your staff and food

Two workers, both busy, with one mainly working the inside customers and one dealing with the drive through. Watched the girl take my cash as she's wearing the gloves she uses to handle the food while putting together my sandwich. Basic hygiene standards would be to take those gloves off when you're at the register. read more

Great for a fast food spot! I wasn't expecting much when my coworkers took me here. I had the two piece fried chicken combo with potato salad and gravy as an extra. The fried chicken was hot and fresh. The seasoning on the side is what really made the chicken savory. The seasonings more salty than spicy so I would consider in moderation. Can't go wrong with gravy and potato salad! Everyone else ordered mashed potatoes covered in gravy. Best part of this place is the free dessert! Ice cream cones for everyone! read more

Golden Chick - Two piece fried chicken combo with gravy and potato salad - Fast Food Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

They usually forget my sauce but this last time, I asked before I left the window and the lady told me it was in the bag. So I went home and found there was no gravy. So I called and spoke with Russell and he said he would replace the meal next time, and that I could go pick the gravy up. A few days later(today), I got a smaller meal replaced but it was all perfect. Thanks Russell! read more

Golden Chick - Spicy chicken tenders, okra and roll. My roll isn't squished in this meal! - Fast Food Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

I order a 16 spicy tender meal and I got regular tenders instead and cold at that. It comes with 4 rolls and they only gave me 2 I payed well close to $40 to get bad food and they don't pick up their phone. You can't even bite the tender. read more

Went there after work getting a large family meal for the family. Got the 16 piece tenders. After twice having to ask her if she did in fact say the 16 piece not the 6 she told me to pull forward. I get to the window and ask her a third time if she did in fact say 16 not 6, she rudely told me, "I told you and you said yes!" After correcting her and redoing my order. She gave me my right order and said here you go rudely. I get home to find our rolls literally squished as if by hand, and our tenders dry and hard. Needless to say I will not going back. read more

When I'm in the mood for fried chicken and don't want to venture too far away from home, Golden Chick is my #1 choice. Beats out nearby KFC and Church's Chicken for me. The chicken is usually crispy, hot, & juicy. Totally satisfies my craving. I usually order the regular fried chicken versus the spicy. The spicy powder actually isn't spicy at all and just makes the chicken saltier. I also usually order only the wings. Hubs likes the chicken tenders. To maximize our budget, we usually go for the Tender Tuesday special: $9.99 for 12 tenders, rolls, & gravy. I forget how many rolls come with the special. But it's never enough for us. We usually add another dozen for good measure. Those pillowy, slightly sweet, yeast rolls are freakin' delicious. Reminds me of the rolls I used to devour at O'Charley's in TN & FL. Military discount offered. Other reviewers complained about the drive-thru and I can understand. I used it once and my order was completely wrong. Even ordering at the counter doesn't prevent mistakes. So, check your order before leaving, folks. read more

I sat in the drive thru for half an hour and y'all couldn't drop in a fresh order of fried shrimp? Yeah, they're $1.99 for 3 of them but when I can't even chew them? They sat on the line longer than I waited, I'm in food service and know what dead food feels and tastes like. Look in the window and y'all have four girls at the drive thru that can't even take my order correctly (didn't order spicy sandwiches and they come... spicy.) Seriously? No napkins. No straw. Can't even get the assembly part right. My chicken sandwich had shards in it. Come on. Do better. read more

I work for your store at 4110 N Foster Rd, San Antonio,TX 78244 From the first day I started I've felt nothing but bad vibes it's not a good training story the GM Ms Charlotte didn't make sure I was getting the right training and I've tried to talk to her and so far it hasn't worked and there was one time I couldn't come in because I was sick and Ms charlotte made it difficult for me to call in she was saying the reason I called in wasn't an " excuse" to call in and I was explaining to her that im in pain to move and after that day I've just felt nothing but bad vibes and everybody made me feel uncomfortable and unwanted at the workplace today Monday January 1,2024 i came in at 4pm I forgot to clock in and the GM Ms Charlotte told me to go on break and I seen i didn't clock in it's was already 5 and all she said was oh well clock out it was no ok I'll fix it and the hole time I felt like I was doing everything wrong I would ask if they need help on a big order and they always say no and when I needed help on the headset one of the coworkers came and push my head really hard to where the manager had to say he didn't have to push my head like that this isn't a good work environment read more

Very, Very bad customer service. First, of all they messed up our order when we went through the drive thru. Called and let them know of Their mistake. Couldn't find the receipt but had the container with the mistake they made. So the Manager (Jacob) said he couldn't help us without the receipt even though we could provide them with the combo we had ordered...We spent $30 on this trip but believe me we will never go there again. From all the other bad reviews I see they have a problem with the drive thru..Lost a customer, Thanks Again Golden Chick read more

Fried chicken was good, rolls were awesome. But our order came wirh 3 large sides which were a huge disappointment. The macaroni & cheese was mushy and the two mashed potatoes were both only 3/4 full. I'm sure they wouldn't accept 3/4 payment so why only 3/4 full? read more

New to the area, trying something I haven't been to before. Holy crap, this place was a mistake. Air MGT really needs work, food under EVERY table. They were actually out of chicken breasts. Really? We were the only ones in here, I guess that should have been a tip. Woman interrupted person taking our order 5 times which was ridiculous. No listing of sides anywhere. Surely they would have time to clean up a bit with slow traffic times. read more

This place has pretty good chicken and seafood. The tenders are juicy and flavorful, they have great Mac and cheese, jalapeño poppers and the rolls are to die for. The French fries are kinda bland though, so I suggest trying one of their other sides. Each time we've gone our order was correct and the staff was average in their service. Nothing to write home about or to complain about in terms of customer service. Over all it's a fast food chicken place that does a great job at making chicken and other fried food. read more

Very very disappointed with my visit! Went thru the drive thru and they took a while to move the line. Got too the the window and they didn't have no straws for my drink, I ordered a 2 pc meal combo with 2 breast grilled since I don't eat wing so when I checked my order I got a wing the size of a quarter almost. So I got down to talk to someone and all the staff there very unprofessional and almost all of the staff there not wearing proper uniform, store looked dirty and the salad display worse. This location has gone down really bad don't recommend foster location. read more

Vanessa was AMAZING! Service was outstanding, food was EVEN BETTER!! Take it from an Army Vet, 5 STARS!!!

I've been here several times and have been disappointed each time. There's always a few tenders that are undercooked. Soda is flat and the one time I choose to try the rice it's horrid. If you ask them to make half your tenders spicy they overcoat them and ruin the food. read more
