Good was fresh and the staff was friendly. However, these are the worst bathrooms I have ever seen at a Whataburger. The smell permeates the hallway. First off...I want to preface that this location is not in a great area. I only found it out after arriving- it's surrounded by motels and lots of people wandering around. I ordered a patty melt and my friend ordered some kind of bacon cheeseburger. We also did the combo with fries and drinks. After having whataburger in Georgia, the Texas whataburger was a let down. The food, while hot, was unappetizing and just not very good. However, the redeeming factor of this location was the STAFF!!! They were amazing. The cashier worked with me to make sure my coupons were applied properly and even went so far as to ring up 2 different orders to make sure it worked. She was very friendly and helpful. There was also a guy attending to the main dining area and he was phenomenal. He ran up and cleaned our table when it was dirty, brought out food, dumped our trash and even held the door on the way out. read more

I came here not expecting anything great and I'm glad I did. The staff seems OK and the time for the food to come out was ok as well. I ordered a kids grilled cheese with french fries and a chocolate chunk cookie. The grilled cheese wasn't the best because the bread seemed extremely dry, almost possibly stale. Maybe it's because they don't really coat the bread with anything when it's grilled. It needed like butter or oil. The french fries are shoestring, but they aren't anything great either... They seem pretty basic and without seasoning. They do have two kinds of ketchup - regular or spicy... I only tried the regular. The Whataburger I grew up with is NOT the same as what I had the other night. It wasn't a BAD hamburger, but it just wasn't what I remember as being the "classic" Whataburger. I ordered the bacon, cheeseburger and asked them to toast the bun real well. Seems that, if you DON'T tell them to toast the bun, they won't. Well, when I got my burger, the bun was BARELY toasted. The toppings were a bit messy but the flavor was pretty okay. The fries are always VERY good. Service was okay. Prices....well, they ain't 55-cent hamburgers anymore! I love WB. So I thought I would give the new breakfast burger a try. Ordered thru drive thru. Was even asked if I wanted the meal or just burger. Just the burger please. The wait was longer than usual but thought hey they are making it fresh. I get to work and I can see when I open the bag this is NOT a burger!! Instead what they gave me was a plate of scrambled eggs sausage and biscuit. I can't leave and go back. I take a few bites of the eggs which looked like they were picked up off the floor. Just cancelled my order. The workstation was disgusting. There was a dirty cloth on top of the cheese they were using in people's meals. I'm not exaggerating. There was a literal dirty blue rag on the stack of cheese ... and they just worked around it while preparing people's meals. They had an open container of sani-wipes open next to the cheese as well. I always come here the food & customer service is usually great! & I've had some very friendly encounters with employees. Until Recently I had an encounter with a employee (R) When I asked to add a meal to my order. The employee exasperated, rolled their eyes and said "Well it depends what do you want?" & personally I didn't appreciate the response. Every time I go to this Whataburger they screw my order up. I went thru the drive-thru and ordered a Patty Melt, small fry and coffee. I had to wait for her to bring me my coffee and ketchup. The fries were already cold as I was sitting there waiting. When I got home, I took a bite and noticed it was a double-meat burger (I specifically asked for a single and they didn't listen, again!!). Customer service is always horrible. Every single person that works here needs training on how to not be disrespectful and rude. Slow service is something I can handle but the way the team members and/or management talk (answering the phone, taking orders, etc) is unbelievable.
