Never heard of this place before. From Chicago and was in town. Me and my friends were driving around after a late night. We stopped cause they hadn't had a Whataburger in years. I never heard of it so I ordered the typical hamburger. It was good, better than mcdonalds and a few other places. The second night I got a buffalo chicken that was okay. Nothing special but it was good. read more

Good was fresh and the staff was friendly. However, these are the worst bathrooms I have ever seen at a Whataburger. The smell permeates the hallway. Despite having a pad lock to keep it less frequented, the apathy shows. The floor pad under the urinal is saturated. The walls look scummy and the sink looks like it's been wiped with a dirty rag. read more

Whataburger - Too bad the coffee was burnt. Even the sweet cream couldn't cover it up - Burgers Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

Very bad customer service. The girl at the drive thru window was very very rude for no apparent reason. I asked if we could get our drinks immediately since my grandmother was choking and she looked bothered by that request as if I was intentionally inconveniencing her. Drive thru girl said "that's the first thing I was going to do." And very intentionally made it the last thing she did, body language is studied for a reason, it was very apparent. Called management and informed them of the lack of customer service and Andrea, a "manager," also seemed very unconcerned as well. My burger was cold. There was no line. I am very confused as to what is going on at this location. I guess this is what I get for choosing convenience over 3 min difference in commute. I usually go to the windcrest location and the service is night and day. read more

First off...I want to preface that this location is not in a great area. I only found it out after arriving- it's surrounded by motels and lots of people wandering around. I ordered a patty melt and my friend ordered some kind of bacon cheeseburger. We also did the combo with fries and drinks. After having whataburger in Georgia, the Texas whataburger was a let down. The food, while hot, was unappetizing and just not very good. However, the redeeming factor of this location was the STAFF!!! They were amazing. The cashier worked with me to make sure my coupons were applied properly and even went so far as to ring up 2 different orders to make sure it worked. She was very friendly and helpful. There was also a guy attending to the main dining area and he was phenomenal. He ran up and cleaned our table when it was dirty, brought out food, dumped our trash and even held the door on the way out. read more

First time in Texas and the first place I had to go was whataburger. The girl that helped us out was very patient and sweet. She was very kind to explain to us the menu and gave us recommendations. I wonder how many times they can get a simple order wrong and how many times I've heard "I'm so sorry" from the managers. If the workers there hate their jobs so bad, QUIT and let someone worthy work there. As God as my witness, the next time someone there gives me or my son an attitude, I will lose my $h!t on them. Btw, only a total IDIOT messes up a salad! read more

This is the worst Whataburger location here in San Antonio. This place is the slowest fast food place I have ever been to in my life. Chick fila is faster than this. It disgusts me. Im out here at 2am waiting in the drive through after I paid for like 30 minutes. Finally got the food and it tasted disgusting. The french fries were soggy. The two honey butter chicken biscuits were soft and tasted like they needed cooked longer. Disgraceful. Im confused how i waited so long for unfresh disgusting trashcan food? I will never ever come to this location again. They should be shut down for how terrible the service is. I pray rats and cockroaches take over so this place shuts down. I could get salmonella poisoning from the uncooked chicken I ate. read more

It's a Whataburger, but it's a special Whataburger! This Whataburger excels in slow food. Regardless of whether it's breakfast, dinner, or the middle of the night, expect to wait no less than 20 minutes for any order. Even if you order on the app and it tells you 3-6 minutes, you'll wait no less than 20 *after* you arrive. Food so slow, sometimes they cook it fast then just leave it under the heat lamps until the bun is crisp and hard and receipt has turned a solid black. If you want Whataburger in the time it takes to bake a pizza at home from scratch, come to this east side Whataburger. It's 24 hours! read more

Worse experience at a Whataburger I'd ever been to. Never going to this location again. Lady was rude, did not get my order right, forgot something in my order and when I came back she was confrontational about miscommunication when I didn't get everything I wanted in the first place. On top of forgetting something in the order. Food was also very cold. Picture below has how many onion rings they gave me. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. Just bought two meals, they scanned my card twice because they're too busy talking and chit chatting. I mentioned it to the girl at the window but by the time it was too late. I got charged $26, twice. The manager then said "Oh well, there's nothing I can do about it." I showed him the transactions and he didn't care. Then got a attitude with me. read more

Been in the drive thru lane for 40 minutes!!!!! I'm next in line to pay and get my food, but dayum....still not at that window yet.

I came here not expecting anything great and I'm glad I did. The staff seems OK and the time for the food to come out was ok as well. I ordered a kids grilled cheese with french fries and a chocolate chunk cookie. The grilled cheese wasn't the best because the bread seemed extremely dry, almost possibly stale. Maybe it's because they don't really coat the bread with anything when it's grilled. It needed like butter or oil. The french fries are shoestring, but they aren't anything great either... They seem pretty basic and without seasoning. They do have two kinds of ketchup - regular or spicy... I only tried the regular. I havent eaten the cookie yet, but it's probably nothing special either. read more

The Whataburger I grew up with is NOT the same as what I had the other night. It wasn't a BAD hamburger, but it just wasn't what I remember as being the "classic" Whataburger. I ordered the bacon, cheeseburger and asked them to toast the bun real well. Seems that, if you DON'T tell them to toast the bun, they won't. Well, when I got my burger, the bun was BARELY toasted. The toppings were a bit messy but the flavor was pretty okay. The fries are always VERY good. Service was okay. Prices....well, they ain't 55-cent hamburgers anymore! Yeah, Whataburger is to Texas what hot dogs are to America. I'll keep trying to get them to make it right...... someday...... read more

I love WB. So I thought I would give the new breakfast burger a try. Ordered thru drive thru. Was even asked if I wanted the meal or just burger. Just the burger please. The wait was longer than usual but thought hey they are making it fresh. I get to work and I can see when I open the bag this is NOT a burger!! Instead what they gave me was a plate of scrambled eggs sausage and biscuit. I can't leave and go back. I take a few bites of the eggs which looked like they were picked up off the floor. Tasted the sausage. Was presented so unappetizing I threw it away. Either someone needs to learn how to key in correctly or someone needs to be able to read. read more

Just cancelled my order. The workstation was disgusting. There was a dirty cloth on top of the cheese they were using in people's meals. I'm not exaggerating. There was a literal dirty blue rag on the stack of cheese ... and they just worked around it while preparing people's meals. They had an open container of sani-wipes open next to the cheese as well. They asked no questions when I cancelled and pointed out the issues. Refund was swift. I always come here the food & customer service is usually great! & I've had some very friendly encounters with employees. Until Recently I had an encounter with a employee (R) When I asked to add a meal to my order. The employee exasperated, rolled their eyes and said "Well it depends what do you want?" & personally I didn't appreciate the response. I still got my add on even though he said it would take a while.. when all it took was 2-3 minutes.. Usually I would brush this off but multiple times now I've had similar encounters at this location with rude employees :/ read more

It's open 24 hours and locations all over the place. You can't miss their signs! to me it's similar to BK or McD, but people around me talked so highly of it.
