I am torn with this establishment. You are paying top prices for some pretty lack luster Chinese fare of the buffet style. The food is ok but at times is not too fresh even though they do have a good noodle bowl a la carte, sushi a la carte and some hibachi style a la carte as well but the typical fare that we help ourselves to is ho hum at best. The service is always great here and the cleanliness of the restaurant is pretty amazing seeing the amount of people that are coming and going in the place. I wish that it was not that expensive and maybe I would be more prone to coming back more often with the family but then we are dropping a hundo on food that is just ok. read more

First time here, I love the furniture and the whole mood of this place, but I'm making this review about one thing. the crab rangoons, they had so much filling and were so good. My wife and I went to the Golden Apple Buffet at 4:45 pm. I was very impressed how fresh the salad bar was, the food in the chaffing dishes was hot and very well stocked. I had been there a few times with mixed results but this visit was different. The waitstaff was courteous and would stand-off to clear your plate, (not hover over you waiting to swoop in to clear your plate). The food was pretty darn good! Had lunch today. Heard good and bad reviews from friends, so decided to try for myself. The place is bright, clean with booths and tables. Arcade area for kids I'd parents want to hang out. Several buffets - salad, dessert, appetizers, Chinese dishes l, plus sushi and pho I had egg drop soup - not flavorful and just warm so it was cold but the time I sat down. Picked some broccoli with a white sauce - tasted good but was also cold. Beef with Broccoli, same as above. In fact, all the foods I picked were cold. Fried rice and a skewered chicken. Major issue is the temperature of the food. I like mine hot as do most people. It's too bad, because the flavors were good, and nothing I picked was greasy, which is often the case at Asian buffets. The dessert buffet was ok. The pineapple and honeydew were ok, cantaloupe not ripe. The put some awful sauce on the bananas - leave plain. Went with 3 adults and 2 kids aged 10. Not going to sugar coat anything, this was our experience: The good: modern aesthetic, trendy, kids liked it and a very nice staff! Tons of options - especially seafood. They have hibachi & sushi as well. The bad: Some food was not good at all -tasting stale, bad or questionable. Everyone in my group noted this. The ugly: The seafood items were in the same stations as the non seafood. There were definitely enough stations to keep it separate. I saw a guest drop a couple shrimps into the food tray next to it and neither the guest nor staff did anything about it. I am not allergic but the next person might be! Good with a side of confusion: They have a hibachi station which was cool and I was impressed by the lean cuts of meat - including steak! However, the patrons are the ones picking their items out - which include raw meat - and the raw meat is right next to veggies! When I arrived it was clean and looked recently set up which is why I went for it - and it was very good! But they should have the raw meat behind the counter for only the hibachi cook to access. The fun: there's a small arcade inside and cool robot sculptures. Side notes: The bathroom is pretty neat and was super clean! The food is pretty good. The only thing that isn't is the snow crab legs. I went on Mother's Day weekend and it was pretty packed. I've been waiting for this place to open and today was the day Me and my high school BFF met up to try it out. The minute you get inside your gonna notice the difference from Tin Tin. They've gotten rid of the old carpets and installed gorgeous flooring. It's got new colors on the walls and looks so much bigger than tin tin did. It's not dark and drab but bright and vivid. Now let's talk about the food. Considering that it was opening day everything went well. Everything we tried was not only hot but flippin delicious. As a sushi lover I gotta say it's so nice to have a sushi bar with buffet prices nearby again. Let me tell you about the crab rangoons...I think the wrapper is a bit thicker and the filling was scrumptious The black pepper chicken is small cube size but when I put my fork into it you could see the juices Fried calamari... now calamari is not easy to cook because too long and it's like rubber. This was perfect!! I got it on plate #2 and was expecting it to be a little cold since it had been there a few minutes. Not only was it still hot but it was amazing. Whoever is in charge of the tables and the temperature of them is doing a great job. The chefs definitely have skills because everything looked good, and tasted good. The buffet was... okay. There's a decent variety of dishes, and the setup looks inviting, but it all felt just a bit underwhelming. Things that stood out the most is the Pho/Hibachi bar. They really need a system to keep track of whose pho is who's, we were there when it was super packed and almost got the wrong one. The staff was friendly and attentive, which was a highlight. It was okay. They have pho as well. Foods were not a lot. They only have like 5 sections to pick from. They had this small octopus . It felt uncooked on some. I didn't like it. They need to cook it more. Pho those people don't know how to make it. Made okay but we add more condiments to it than what they offered. The oysters need to take the hair part out. The lady who runs it at the front needs to be more friendly like. At least tell your customer when they are leaving. Thank you for coming or ask them if they enjoyed the meal. The food is less than mediocre especially considering the cost (mine was a weekend visit, $20 for an adult) I had to make myself get a second plate with just salad as the first plate (containing a variety of choices such as egg roll, chicken fingers, rice, crab Rangoon etc.) was not good. The good was good. I think we were desperate for food tho. Staff were very nice. But it was very loud.

After doing errands the first part of the afternoon, my wife and I stopped in to the Golden Apple for a late lunch. We were greeted by very friendly staff, and shown to a table and had our drink orders taken. The dining room was very bright and the tables were clean. But this is where the compliments stop. After choosing several food items we returned to our table. All the meat dishes were dry and over cooked as they had been warming to long. The white rice on the sushi roll was all dried out and what was labeled as salmon was actually white fish with paprika on it. Keeping buffet items fresh in the middle of the afternoon is a challenge to any restaurant. We may go again, but only during the prime lunch or dinner hours. read more

Ate there yesterday with my spouse. I had the sushi and started to feel sick to my stomach about the time we were leaving. When we got home i felt worst and vomitted. The next day had more residual stomach issues i believe from the sushi. I like the place and the food is fine for the price.
