First time here, I love the furniture and the whole mood of this place, but I'm making this review about one thing. the crab rangoons, they had so much filling and were so good. I ate about 15 of them. but other than that, the service was good, got the drinks pretty quick and got seated after a minute wait, we got seated in a quiet place so it wasn't loud, and they played pretty good music. read more

It's always good when I eat here, lots of seafood options and the place is spacious. The staffs are friendly. read more

Golden Apple Buffet - Buffet - Buffets Near Me - Biddeford, Maine

I am torn with this establishment. You are paying top prices for some pretty lack luster Chinese fare of the buffet style. The food is ok but at times is not too fresh even though they do have a good noodle bowl a la carte, sushi a la carte and some hibachi style a la carte as well but the typical fare that we help ourselves to is ho hum at best. The service is always great here and the cleanliness of the restaurant is pretty amazing seeing the amount of people that are coming and going in the place. I wish that it was not that expensive and maybe I would be more prone to coming back more often with the family but then we are dropping a hundo on food that is just ok. read more

It was ok. We wanted to compare to umi. And we believe that Umi is better, but the crayfish were amazing!

My wife and I went to the Golden Apple Buffet at 4:45 pm. I was very impressed how fresh the salad bar was, the food in the chaffing dishes was hot and very well stocked. I had been there a few times with mixed results but this visit was different. The waitstaff was courteous and would stand-off to clear your plate, (not hover over you waiting to swoop in to clear your plate). The food was pretty darn good! They have improved greatly, thank you! read more

This is your typical Chinese buffet nothing is stellar about it and the staff if Kona rude they count your plates and weather your done or not come give you your check and once they give you the check they won't give you refills on drinks the food is alright every shrimp dish the shrimp still have the tails intact so beware of that read more

The good: it's clean and bright (almost too bright), obviously updated relatively recently. But that's about it. The food is mediocre at best, and other buffets in the region have both better quality AND a better selection. Nothing was bad. really, but it certainly wasn't good - especially the sushi, which was about eight different kinds of maki (rolls), most of which included cream cheese. Definitely not recommended, as there's a much better option not too far up I-95 (Umi Sushi and Seafood Buffet, in South Portland off the Maine Mall road, read more

Had lunch today. Heard good and bad reviews from friends, so decided to try for myself. The place is bright, clean with booths and tables. Arcade area for kids I'd parents want to hang out. Several buffets - salad, dessert, appetizers, Chinese dishes l, plus sushi and pho I had egg drop soup - not flavorful and just warm so it was cold but the time I sat down. Picked some broccoli with a white sauce - tasted good but was also cold. Beef with Broccoli, same as above. In fact, all the foods I picked were cold. Fried rice and a skewered chicken. Major issue is the temperature of the food. I like mine hot as do most people. It's too bad, because the flavors were good, and nothing I picked was greasy, which is often the case at Asian buffets. The dessert buffet was ok. The pineapple and honeydew were ok, cantaloupe not ripe. The put some awful sauce on the bananas - leave plain. The 2 small pieces of cake were good - one was chocolate cake with coffee frosting, and I believe the other was caramel. Not bad for $14.99 each for lunch PLEASE fix the TEMPERATURE of the food!!! I'd really like to come back and full enjoy the food. read more

The food was cold and really stale. Especially the noodles it was crispy and cold. There was ants crawling under the table where we were eating and the service was not good. The server was rude and staring me and my friends down like we were trying to dine and dash. and the food made my stomach hurt. Overall, i don't recommend here! read more

Went with 3 adults and 2 kids aged 10. Not going to sugar coat anything, this was our experience: The good: modern aesthetic, trendy, kids liked it and a very nice staff! Tons of options - especially seafood. They have hibachi & sushi as well. The bad: Some food was not good at all -tasting stale, bad or questionable. Everyone in my group noted this. The ugly: The seafood items were in the same stations as the non seafood. There were definitely enough stations to keep it separate. I saw a guest drop a couple shrimps into the food tray next to it and neither the guest nor staff did anything about it. I am not allergic but the next person might be! Good with a side of confusion: They have a hibachi station which was cool and I was impressed by the lean cuts of meat - including steak! However, the patrons are the ones picking their items out - which include raw meat - and the raw meat is right next to veggies! When I arrived it was clean and looked recently set up which is why I went for it - and it was very good! But they should have the raw meat behind the counter for only the hibachi cook to access. The fun: there's a small arcade inside and cool robot sculptures. Side notes: The bathroom is pretty neat and was super clean! And we all agreed it was too expensive for kids. $15 for a 10 year old plus cost of drink. read more

Food is ok but not great. Does have a large selection. Emplooyees rate a B at best. Not helpful at all (seems to be a language barrier), and not knowledgeable at all. Prices are too high. Nice decor. Biggest problem is price, which they seem to make up as they go, and lack of knowledgable employees that can actually help. Its just ok. read more

I've been waiting for this place to open and today was the day Me and my high school BFF met up to try it out. The minute you get inside your gonna notice the difference from Tin Tin. They've gotten rid of the old carpets and installed gorgeous flooring. It's got new colors on the walls and looks so much bigger than tin tin did. It's not dark and drab but bright and vivid. Now let's talk about the food. Considering that it was opening day everything went well. Everything we tried was not only hot but flippin delicious. As a sushi lover I gotta say it's so nice to have a sushi bar with buffet prices nearby again. Let me tell you about the crab rangoons...I think the wrapper is a bit thicker and the filling was scrumptious The black pepper chicken is small cube size but when I put my fork into it you could see the juices Fried calamari... now calamari is not easy to cook because too long and it's like rubber. This was perfect!! I got it on plate #2 and was expecting it to be a little cold since it had been there a few minutes. Not only was it still hot but it was amazing. Whoever is in charge of the tables and the temperature of them is doing a great job. The chefs definitely have skills because everything looked good, and tasted good. The staff were all very nice, polite and ready to make sure you enjoy your meal If this place keeps up with the food consistency they are definitely going to become a Biddeford Favorite read more

The buffet was... okay. There's a decent variety of dishes, and the setup looks inviting, but it all felt just a bit underwhelming. Things that stood out the most is the Pho/Hibachi bar. They really need a system to keep track of whose pho is who's, we were there when it was super packed and almost got the wrong one. The staff was friendly and attentive, which was a highlight. If you're looking for somewhere to get a range of options, this might do it. read more

The place was super clean The staff was friendly service was what you would expect for a buffet The food was not overly hot the sushi was great as was the grill area overall ok read more

We came here on the first Saturday they were opened in Maine. It's a very bright nice buffet restaurant. We were greeted and our waitress was very nice. read more

Food was ok. Good sushi. The kicker for me was our waitress just got done passing out the bill to several tables and then she say at a booth and started making dumplings with no gloves and not in the kitchen. Gross. Come on people read more

The food is pretty good. The only thing that isn't is the snow crab legs. I went on Mother's Day weekend and it was pretty packed. I would say my only other complaints would be that the bathrooms were not in the best shape and some of the games in the arcade don't work. As for the ambiance it seems modern and is neat read more

It was okay. They have pho as well. Foods were not a lot. They only have like 5 sections to pick from. They had this small octopus . It felt uncooked on some. I didn't like it. They need to cook it more. Pho those people don't know how to make it. Made okay but we add more condiments to it than what they offered. The oysters need to take the hair part out. The lady who runs it at the front needs to be more friendly like. At least tell your customer when they are leaving. Thank you for coming or ask them if they enjoyed the meal. She just played with her phone when we were leaving. Over the restaurant was bright. It did have a kids play area. read more

Ohh my gawd. Dead ass download the app to write this, originally from Boston some of New England best Chinese spots and yo when I tell you this "blew my socks off" the scallop in the shell was 12/10 fried chicken 10/10 rice was iiight ...let me not forget the sushi great combo of sushi and hibachi at a Chinese buffet I've never seen one like this before. Then I got the the fruit , looked up and said damn even the fruit is bussin absolutely amazing cuisine. ONLY THING i would say is the dessert was subpar but still had its own special taste. Mmmm and the dim sum was jaw dropping .decor was modern and service was great ,Will be recommend this to all and if in the area again will be back. read more

This place is simply NOT GOOD. The food is less than mediocre especially considering the cost (mine was a weekend visit, $20 for an adult) I had to make myself get a second plate with just salad as the first plate (containing a variety of choices such as egg roll, chicken fingers, rice, crab Rangoon etc.) was not good. Everything lacked flavor. This review is 2 stars instead of 1 because the interior was very nice and I did feel like I was eating in a clean place which is important. It is comparable to its predecessor, TinTin Buffet, but the food is a notch below what the TinTin was which is hard to accomplish. read more

Bad service, waitresses beg for tips and don't respect the customers. Never checked on us or asked us for any refills or anything we needed. Don't recommend coming here at all. Got change from our payment thrown at us for trying to tip. Who even does that. read more

Hibachi preparation was fast and the taste and temperature of the food excellent. Nice atmosphere. Very clean and neat.

The food was almost fresh. A lot of people that worked there didn't understand English, trying to say hello and talk and tell them about their business. They just walked by me . Very rude people. I didn't tip them because I didn't feel like they deserved it. They noticed that I didn't and they would laugh and talk shit but I don't care. It was my money. I paid $20 just for one plate of food. Don't get me wrong. It's a nice place, but they could be more welcoming. I'd give the food at seven out of 10. read more

Golden Apple Buffet - Some fruit and the fried dough with good - Buffets Near Me - Biddeford, Maine

Very clean, food is fresh and not sitting around.hibachi in the back is excellent and quick, good service !

The good was good. I think we were desperate for food tho. Staff were very nice. But it was very loud.

After doing errands the first part of the afternoon, my wife and I stopped in to the Golden Apple for a late lunch. We were greeted by very friendly staff, and shown to a table and had our drink orders taken. The dining room was very bright and the tables were clean. But this is where the compliments stop. After choosing several food items we returned to our table. All the meat dishes were dry and over cooked as they had been warming to long. The white rice on the sushi roll was all dried out and what was labeled as salmon was actually white fish with paprika on it. Keeping buffet items fresh in the middle of the afternoon is a challenge to any restaurant. We may go again, but only during the prime lunch or dinner hours. read more

Ate there yesterday with my spouse. I had the sushi and started to feel sick to my stomach about the time we were leaving. When we got home i felt worst and vomitted. The next day had more residual stomach issues i believe from the sushi. I like the place and the food is fine for the price. However i won't go back because i don't trust that all thr proper measures are being done to make sure the food is safe. If you go there i would stay clear from any raw sushi. read more

Good food, clean!!, plenty of wait staff, amazing variety. Could use more explanation on hibachi and pho. I wasn't familiar with either and no one present at service window. Had a great time opening day! No alcohol but cute arcade room for kids! read more

My husband and I tried it for supper.Thought it was ok and wasn't impressed. Figure I would give it a try for lunch and was even less impressed. The food was barely warm. Mentioned it to the people that worked there but they seemed less concerned. The food inspectors should ho in and check the temp of food. The variety was good but barely luke warm. Definitely will not get me back there. read more

Food was hot, fresh, and really good! Great atmosphere in here. You would never know it from the outside. Great staff as well! I definitely recommend it! read more

Way overpriced for cafeteria grade food. Nothing is especially hot or fresh. There were a few things I would have spit out if I'd not been in public. It was generally edible, but not something I would want to eat again. Service was fine, but not a whole lot of expectations for a place where you serve yourself. read more
