The biggest advantages living in the Coquitlam is that you can have authentic Korean food. GOGO Chicken & BBQ is one of my favorite Korean Chicken Restaurant. I'm highly recommend everyone to give this place a try. GoGo Chicken & BBQ is a small Korean Restaurant, located on 105-2973 Glen Dr, Coquitlam. Since it's small and on the street, it's very easy to pass by if you are driving. Inside the restaurant, only few tables are there. This place is better for grab food to go. My husband and I have ordered food from this place so many times. The Chicken here are good, crispy, flavourful, juicy and succulent inside. The most important is fresh fried chicken! The portions are huge. Normally, we ordered 1/2 Original KFC and 1/2 Soy Garlic Chicken boneless as well as the Go Go Fries. It will take us more than three meals to finish all these food. So, when you are ordering the food, please be careful. It will be a lot of food. Highly Recommend this place !

Came to grab some dinner at this spot. They only offered takeout for the time being which was fine. Person taking my order was extremely rude and made me wait five minutes before taking my order despite there being no customers inside the shop. I ordered the skirtsteak rice bowl. Upon opening the bowl to eat the rice bowl, I saw that the chef cut the steak along the grain of the beef not against the grain making the beef really tough. For off-cuts like skirt steak it is crucial you cut the meat against the grain as the grain fibers are extremely long and tough. Needless to say the rice bowl was not very good as all the beef was very chewy.

I am SO stoked about this one! LOCAL, CRISPY, DELICIOUS & JUICY! My boyfriend and I were walking around the neighbourhood and noticed this had replaced a sushi joint. At Go Go, they have: - Fried chicken: bone in, bone less, strips, wings, soy, garlic, spicy and old style - Go Go bowls: pork belly, steak, chicken - Sides: fried brussel sprouts, korean dumplings, rice cakes, pork belly bossam - Bao buns: pork belly, steak, chicken Although we had dinner ready to be eaten at home, we couldn't help trying out a couple items. We decided on 2 pieces of regular fried chicken ($5.99) and pork belly bao bun ($3.50). As we was waiting, the owner was talking to us and let me know that they make their own special brine for their chicken to make it more juicy and flavourful. He also said that it's mainly a take out restaurant but people can eat in if there are spots. He was a very lovely guy and you can tell that he really cares about his business and his customers. It did take a while to get our food but they make everything to order. I hate when you go to a fried chicken place and they give you fried chicken that has been siting there for who knows how long. So I didn't mind waiting. The fried chicken was extremely crispy, juicy and flavourful! It wasn't too greasy and didn't make me feel sick afterwards either. The bao bun was just okay, I wouldn't order it again. Make sure you get some of their sauces to dip the chicken with. I really enjoyed their plum and spicy mayo sauce. I am a huge fan of Church's but Go Go possibly has taken over to the #1 spot. I will most definitely be returning to try out everything else on the menu!

A little hidden gem in Coquitlam downtown, GoGo Chicken serves up fresh, made-to-order Korean Fried Chicken and Flank Steak Bowls that are quickly becoming the favorite take-out food amongst locals who are in-the-know. Their fried chicken is juicy tender and comes in regular, soy garlic or spicy (& sweet) flavours. They come in while or half chicken, boneless thighs only bone-in. I have tried the regular and spicy version. The regular chicken are very meaty but the meat is lacking in flavours that most southern fried chicken can achieve through soaking in butter milk. go go chicken is dairy free so they only use salt and herb in their brine. When I tried the spicy version the sauce was overly sweet even by Korean standard (another Korean lady sitting opposite of me agreed). Having tried a number of Korean fried chicken both in San Francisco, Portland, Vancouver and Coquitlam, I was expecting to taste more of traditional Korean flavours coming through, like the distinctive taste of Gochugaru chili paste. But if you are into low-sodium, dairy free fried chicken that is fresh hot crispy and juicy, do not miss this place. Ambience wise this is a take out counter place with one communal table to sit while waiting for pick up. Owner is super polite and friendly and made our visits very pleasant. Value wise this place beats even KFC during coupon specials. This isn't far the best valued fried chicken in the Coquitlam central area. Would look forward to give it the 5th star upon flavour improvements.

Angry Chicken Bowl and Small GoGo fries with Korean Peach drink

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! I am obsessed with the Angry Chicken bowl, its just the right amount of spice, its the perfect value for $10, the portions are very generous and its just so delicious! I've also had the BBQ Chicken, Skirt Steak, Soy & Garlic chicken, and once tried the Volcano Chicken (be warned and keep the milk nearby!!! Hottest/spiciest chicken in Coquitlam!). The GoGo fries are like your cheat day dreams, totally awesome. To top it off their customer service is fantastic! I think since I discovered this place at the start of quarantine I've ordered here at least 10/15 times

A hidden gem !! The scent of something deliciously fried near this store told my nose there was a place with good food. It is tucked in a little corner of the quiet Westwood Corporate Centre across the street from all the other bustling food places. Currently it is only take out but they normally have a small eat-in area. We got the skirt steak rice bowl, famous angry chicken bowl and gogo fries. Was not busy so we waited 10-15 for our order. First thing I noticed after I picked up the bag - holy cow it was HEAVY. Taking out the individual bowls and box of fries , they too were individually heavy. The portions are so generous and was such a good deal for the price. You usually expect more rice than toppings but it was a very good balance. The skirt steak bowl came with crispy kale and roasted brussel sprouts while the angry chicken was topped with coleslaw. The skirt steak was bulgogi style marinated and really delicious. My partner had the angry chicken bowl and even with his usually big appetite he found the generous portion very filling. The sauce was just a yangnyeom type , not overly 'angry' which I liked. For reference, there was at least 8-9 golf ball sized pieces of chicken in the bowl. The gogo fries had cheese and a spicy sauce. My only comment is we couldn't say the fried chicken was overly crispy but the angry chicken was very sauce laden so that is a factor. From previous reviews it looks like this place opened around 8 months ago and I'm so glad it is still operating and I hope that it will be here to stay so I can work my way through the menu ! For my next visit I would want to try their other fried chicken flavours ( we always are on the hunt for Korean fried chicken places), and their assortment of burger style ' baos' . I don't give many 5 stars and when I do, I take into consideration price, taste and quality.

Ribs came with a side of slaw and fries! So good.

This place, tucked away just 5 minutes' driving distance from Coquitlam Centre, is clearly beloved by the local Korean community. The portion sizes are generous. They are perfect for sharing with family or friends. We saw many families and younger groups dining in, which gave it a cozy, homey vibe. We can taste the love and comfort in every bite. Here's what we ordered: * Beef Tartare Bibimbap - Not your typical bibimbap! The raw beef was beautifully seasoned and full of flavour. This was hands down our favourite dish! * Naengmyeon - Cold noodles in a super refreshing broth. Perfectly chewy with a balanced, savoury tang. A must-have on a hot day. * Japchae - Excellent portion, great price. The noodles were springy and not greasy at all--just the right balance of flavour. Great value, quality ingredients, and authentic flavours--Hansol is definitely going on our go-to list whenever we're craving comforting Korean food. We ordered short rib BBQ, Beef tartare Bibimbap, and original-flavor deep-fried chicken wings. Beef tartare Bibimbap was served in a hot stone bowl with a variety of vegetables on top of the rice. The gochujang sauce was served separately, allowing us to adjust the spiciness to our preference. It was a pretty good dish. The short rib BBQ was very tender and nicely seasoned. It was slightly on the sweeter side, very delicious. I will definitely order it again. The original flavor deep-fried chicken wings were served fresh and hot. They were incredibly crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside--very good! Next time, I should order them with a flavored seasoning, as I already knew the original version was cooked with less saltiness, meant to be paired with a sauce. Overall, I really like this restaurant. The food tasted good, and the most notable point was the reasonable price! It was a very good deal, and it has now become one of my regular go-to places.

Staff are friendly but understaffed. Once the place filled up they were swamped. Signature steamed seafood pot - definitely on the pricey side, but they don't skimp out. Special mention for the presentation. Plenty of goodies including an entire lobster, half a large octopus (tenticle/arm half), snails, oysters, scallops, prawns, and fish balls among others. Basically everything without fish. Served in a large tray (the ones seen at banquet buffets), and everything cooked in broth. This was enough to probably feed 4-5 adults (assuming average appetites). So pretty. Deep fried squid with fries - honestly this dish was meh. Basically exactly what it sounds like. Squid is tempura style. Nothing special. I'd skip this one. Bossam (pork belly wraps) - served with tofu and spicy kimchi and some vegetable (kelp?) as well. They don't really give enough wraps compared to the pork slices. Decent portion size. My friends and I gobbled this up. This place also serves makgeolli (Korean rice wine) for a very reasonable price. Goes well with the food. Overall my friends and I left happy. Wouldn't mind coming back at some point to try some other dishes. Recommended.

We ordered 2 of the combo A which was the perfect servings for 2 adults and 3 (very hungry!) teenaged boys. Not only did it come with 3 meat types (thinly sliced pork belly, marinated beef Bulgogi, and one other thinly sliced beef), it also came with soup, banchan, and a big bowl of Bibimbap. We also ordered their seafood pancake which was perfectly crispy and not too thin or thick. The actual bbq grill itself was the best one I've seen at a Korean restaurant because it was non-stick, temperature controlled really well, and it didn't leave us smelling like the food after dining. The ventilation must've been good here as it wasn't super smoky at all. The best dish was definitely the bean paste soup! We all loved it and had never tried it before, so next time we have Korean, it will be a staple in our order! It wasn't too busy last night so we were seated right away. Staff were friendly and while they were short-staffed, they were quick enough to get what we requested and ordered in a timely manner.

Unfortunately most Korean restaurants in Vancouver do not have purple rice. -Cold Noodle (14.99$, but they have a lunch special where, for 16.99$, you get two potato pancakes): At first I was hesitant to order this because I love buckwheat (dark gray/purplish colour) cold noodles, and these weren't those, but am so happy we did. I love the texture. The flavour of the broth was also excellent. My only qualm was the "cucumber garnishes" that, in my opinion, were actually too-sweet pickles. Other than that, highly recommend. Potato pancakes were also very yummy. They served complimentary barley tea, and had yummy banchans (kimchi radish, fish cake, and soy sauce pickled onions). The waitress (daughter of the owner-her mother) was very kind and patient with all my questions. Affordable, delicious, authentic, with good portion sizes.
