    Updating my review to 4* following a resolution of my case. I am happy with the appliances and I appreciate Tammy and Laura from Head Office reaching out to my in order to get my issues resolved in a timely manner. I am obviously still not happy with the fact that not having a range for a little over a week did require us to rely on restaurants on take out, which in turn resulted on unexpected expenses, but at last we have a new range. With regards to my experience interacting with the store manager in Kitchener, I remain by my original assessment. Original review below for reference: TL:DR: Goeman's wants nothing to do with you once the appliance is out the door - not their problem - even if the appliance is brand new, has not been used, and has been delivered severely scratched. To say that the store manager needs to educate himself regarding customer relations is the understatement of the year. Pathetic. Words cannot express how disappointed I am with the post-sales service that Goemans offers their customers. I will most definitely never do business with this store again and should anyone ask me for advice on the topic of buying appliances I will surely encourage every single person to look elsewhere. On Saturday, Nov 9, I had all my appliances delivered - range, refrigerator, microwave, chest freezer and dishwasher. The delivery folks were in and out in a hurry, not waiting for me to do a through check of all appliances for scratches and dents. I did make sure to see the stainless steel surfaces were in pristine but a couple hours later, when I finally got around to remove all the remaining plastics from the appliances, I find a cooking surface severely scratched, as you can see in the pictures - mind you that at this point we had gotten rid of our old appliances. Since Saturday, I have called Goemans customer services over 40 times, have been promised numerous call backs without having received a single one, have had service calls booked on my behalf without my consent, was told a replacement was pending since Monday, to be tolday today (thursday) that replacements aren't processed without a technician first assessing the damaged appliance, and it wasn't until I finally stopped trying to get anywhere with Goemans and contacted Whirloop and Maytag directly that I actually got someone to listen to me. Goemans has caused us considerable financial losses and I would strongly encourage anyone reading this review to look elsewhere for appliances.

I needed a new dishwasher and called CAS to go over options and got Harmeet Singh who answered my questions and seemed incredibly knowledgeable. I moved forward with a purchase, including delivery, setup, and extended warranty. I chose a delivery date based on my availability with work and to coincide with some electrical work I needed to have done between the time the dishwasher arrived and the install team arrived. The work was recommended (helpful!) and I even purchased an additional component needed to complete it. The window I got was a fairly large 7am-12pm window. Great. The night before, I get a note the delivery was scheduled outside the window, with no one home, and outside of the availability of the electrician booked. I replied immediately and was given a "too bad, the time you get is what you get, take it or leave it response". I decided to leave it. The following day, nothing from Harmeet. Zero acknowledgement or responsibility assumed. If this is the first interaction post-sale you have with a company, why would you assume anything else will go smoothly? What's even more telling is CAS sends you a "hey please review us" once they have your money but before delivery/install occurs. If you made a reservation for 7pm at a restaurant and you turned up and they told you the reservation is now 8:30pm, just because, you'd probably find somewhere else to have dinner. I'd find somewhere else to have dinner.

    Confusing online buying experience: 1) when adding the dryer…read moreto my cart it prompted me to buy the vent kit if I wanted the appliance installed - which is good. No such warning for the washer. 2) then the appliance removal was unclear if both appliances would be removed 3) when scheduling the delivery they asked how many appliances I wanted removed qty 2 the invoice was only for 1 even though I am buying 2 new ones. So they gave me steps to add a removal online which was fine for and extra cost 4) next they couldn't book the delivery because I didn't have the hose kit this was never indicated prior. Anyway they tried to do the same online amendment but it repeatedly failed over and over. After several calls to the brick I eventually had to pay the hoses in person. Payment was quickly processed and my delivery was booked. 5) on the day of the delivery after waiting all day the delivery team dropped off the appliances but they can't actually install the gas appliances. 6) I have had to book a contractor to now install the gas elements of the dryer. 7) calling the brick to see if they will do the final install and level the appliances as expected - no they will not. So even though this was paid for as part of the appliance purchase agreement I have to install myself and hire a contractor for the gas. Not happy first and last experience shopping at the Brick.

    BEWARE - Poor customer service and dishonesty…read more We bought an LG refrigerator from Canadian Discount Appliances, 808 Courtland Ave E, Kitchener, on January 26. About an hour later, we called to request a refund after finding a better option at Costco with free delivery. The store said a full refund was not possible because delivery was already scheduled, but they agreed to refund $50 back to my Mastercard to match Costco's free delivery. Delivery was scheduled for the next day between 8-11am, and we specifically requested a 15-minute call before arrival, which was agreed to. No one called. At 2pm, we were told deliveries were delayed. Around 4:30pm, the delivery driver called yelling, screaming, claiming we didn't open the door--despite never calling ahead. His behavior toward my husband was rude and unprofessional. As of February 6, the promised $50 refund back to my Mastercard was still not issued. When we called the store, the manager was hostile, made false accusations, refused to listen, and hung up. The store manager made statements that were untrue to justify refusing the $50 refund. Very disappointing experience. Poor communication, unprofessional conduct, and unresolved refund. Save yourself the headache and shop at a reputable big-box store instead.

    Had Ace Appliance show up through Trans Global today for my Frigidaire freezer purchased 11 months…read moreago. The freezer has conked out twice in 10 months spoiling two freezer full of food. Ace called last night to say they'd be coming today. I told him the freezer is empty but I plugged it back in and it appears to be working. Added some food last night (3 frozen pizzas, 2 boxes of ribs and a bag of perogies. I had some frozen concentrate left in there from the previous meltdown.) today prior to his arrival I go To check the food and it's thawed again. Guy arrives today puts his hand on the back of the freezer and says it appears to be working as It should. I have a can of frozen juice (no longer frozen) and say this isn't working as it should. He says unplug it let it thaw out and see if it acts up and turns to leave. I'm like where are you going? I unplugged it last week - clearly there is an issue. Finally convinced him to take a further look. He was left unattended for 6 min then said it's fine. If you're going to argue with me I'm leaving and got in his van and left!!! I'm shocked. If I could give zero stars I would. Do not waste your money with this company. Glad this service call is on Frigidaire and not me.
