We have since replaced one refrigerator, bought a second for the garage - both from Willaerts - and now about to replace our stove and will be going back to Willaerts for that as well. Clearly the days of major appliances lasting 30 years are long gone + being able to get local service if needed is now a huge buying factor. About an hour later, we called to request a refund after finding a better option at Costco with free delivery. The store said a full refund was not possible because delivery was already scheduled, but they agreed to refund $50 back to my Mastercard to match Costco's free delivery. Delivery was scheduled for the next day between 8-11am, and we specifically requested a 15-minute call before arrival, which was agreed to. No one called. At 2pm, we were told deliveries were delayed. Around 4:30pm, the delivery driver called yelling, screaming, claiming we didn't open the door--despite never calling ahead. His behavior toward my husband was rude and unprofessional. As of February 6, the promised $50 refund back to my Mastercard was still not issued. When we called the store, the manager was hostile, made false accusations, refused to listen, and hung up. The store manager made statements that were untrue to justify refusing the $50 refund. Very disappointing experience. Poor communication, unprofessional conduct, and unresolved refund. Save yourself the headache and shop at a reputable big-box store instead.

There was also a no pressure sales tactic on warranties etc. it was a discussion that allowed us to decide for ourselves with no judgement. The gentlemen that came to install new and take away the old were very polite and demonstrated an educated product knowledge. They gave us whatever time we needed to become familiar with the product and they were in and out in a personable, clean and timely manner. We will recommend this business to our anyone who asks.

This week, another technician who repaired the stove pointed out that a plate was not covering the electrical wiring behind the stove's kick plate. So, for four years, my family and I were using a GAS stove with exposed wiring just behind the kick plate. The owner came by today with a "colleague" to "investigate." His colleague admitted that a plate should cover the exposed wiring. Rather than admit this grievous oversight, the owner offered up this absurd explanation: Someone else removed the plate in the four years since the original installation. No one removed the plate. No one. Why would anyone do that? He also claims that he installed a shut off valve. I have asked the TSSA to launch an investigation. Save yourself the risk and trouble my family has unknowingly endured for four years. I urge you to choose another contractor. The owner will no doubt respond to this warning with denials and accusations. You can believe him if you want to but, if you do, you will regret it.
