To me this place was a bit of magic like "honest eds" or "forest city surplus". Just never knew what little treasure you would find. Sad to say I'm sure we will get another Walmart or box store to replace it with their standard layouts. that make me want to buy on line. It was the character of the place and the staff I'll miss. Give liquidation and surplus places a look lots of fun if your the creative type.

They have everything; appliances, fixtures, furniture, building materials, a few cars, three rooms decorated identically to the Red Green sets, a few massive store signs, popcorn makers, lights, arcade games, miscellania. It will take you half an hour just to walk around the place, and don't wear your finest. It's dirty. Also the staff is surly and prices are NOT as low as I expected. For a place that has an entire table devoted to floor heating vent covers, (which I was looking for), many of which were rusted and crappy, they still wanted $10 for the one I picked. Which I'm sure is close to the price of a new one. Seems they fancy themselves more of an antique dealership than the crazy flea market they are.

Hamilton Location is horrible. Spent over an hour in the store looking for a few items but could…read morenot find anyone to help me. It was hard to find staff, and when I did they could not help me. Excuses were I am new and I don't work in this department. Great excuses for a customer to hear. The correct answer is I don't know but let me find someone to help you. What a headache. Suggestion, perhaps you update your website so that it shows the isles of store items. So that customer don't spend there whole night in the store.

I am simply fascinated by how difficult it is to shop at this store. I mean, is it really so hard…read moreto set up a customer-friendly store? Not only can I never find anything -- the set up is simply not intuitive, and the areas are not marked very well -- but I don't find the staff to be overly helpful either. I can't count the number of times I've stopped by and ended up wandering the aisles with a furrowed brow and open mouth, hunting for whatever it is I need. I often have to chase down a staff member to ask where something is located. What's strange is that the Hamilton Lowes is the complete opposite. There, it's *easy* to find what I'm looking for, and the staff there is SO helpful -- it's a pleasure to spend money at the Hamilton Lowe's. That difference tells me that it's not Lowe's but the local management. I have been doing a lot of home renovations and, though the Burlington Lowe's is not far from my house, I try to hold off on my purchases and go to the Hamilton Lowes whenever I get a chance.
