Hamilton Location is horrible. Spent over an hour in the store looking for a few items but could not find anyone to help me. It was hard to find staff, and when I did they could not help me. Excuses were I am new and I don't work in this department. Great excuses for a customer to hear. The correct answer is I don't know but let me find someone to help you. What a headache. Suggestion, perhaps you update your website so that it shows the isles of store items. So that customer don't spend there whole night in the store. read more

I am simply fascinated by how difficult it is to shop at this store. I mean, is it really so hard to set up a customer-friendly store? Not only can I never find anything -- the set up is simply not intuitive, and the areas are not marked very well -- but I don't find the staff to be overly helpful either. I can't count the number of times I've stopped by and ended up wandering the aisles with a furrowed brow and open mouth, hunting for whatever it is I need. I often have to chase down a staff member to ask where something is located. What's strange is that the Hamilton Lowes is the complete opposite. There, it's *easy* to find what I'm looking for, and the staff there is SO helpful -- it's a pleasure to spend money at the Hamilton Lowe's. That difference tells me that it's not Lowe's but the local management. I have been doing a lot of home renovations and, though the Burlington Lowe's is not far from my house, I try to hold off on my purchases and go to the Hamilton Lowes whenever I get a chance. read more

I am a first time home buyer and my experience buying my first appliance was so bad and I have Lowe's to thank for that. From the lack of support in the purchasing process to arranging delivery to actual delivery, every stage was more and more disappointing. I waited two weeks without a fridge. When they arrived to deliver it, the handle was on the wrong side. The delivery service (which is third party and has no accountability), assured me someone from Lowe's would come and put the handle on the correct side as per the order. I called repeatedly and spoke with multiple people, all of which said they would help, then tried to pass me off to someone else. When I was told that they would not come and move the handle, I said ok, I would like to return it; I don't have the tools or body weight to move the main door and I can't open and close the fridge, so I would like it returned. Only then did they find someone to come and adjust the handle. It was stressful, took a ton of time to facilitate and shouldn't have been an issue in the first place as it was clearly indicated on the order where the handles needed to be positioned. There was no accountability, no post sales support, no follow up and now two months later the fridge is having issues and I have to deal directly with the manufacturer. I will never make any future small or large purchases at Lowe's. It does matter when your retailer has a vested interest in the community, their staff and retaining sales. Based on the actions of the staff pre and post, they only care about getting an easy sale and that's it. Thanks Lowe's for making my first major appliance purchase experience suck. read more

Very disappointed today with the service at Lowe's in Burlington. We left with the definite impression that nobody wanted to provide any customer service. We stood at the customer service desk for 10 minutes with the gentleman not even making eye contact with us behind the counter. He could at least acknowledge us that he is busy with another issue and that would have been fine. We then ventured the to the flooring department where the two customer service people both left to deliver some product to shipping where I am sure one could have stayed behind. The did not return for 15 minutes. They did assist upon their return but by that time I was not going to give them my business. We ventured of to Home Depot where the experience was totally opposite. The worst experience. The Hamilton location is useless. We ordered a patio sliding door on May 4th. Received my confirmation order and it said I would hear from an employee within 1-3 business days to set up delivery. Day 5 I still hadn't heard from anyone. So I called the Hamilton location and the lady I spoke with said my delivery was scheduled for May 17th. She said- that seems a bit far, let me check if I can get it sooner. She then said she rescheduled my delivery for May 14th. I called this morning... The employee from deliveries said my name is not in their system and I have the wrong location. I then call Ancaster location and they told me Hamilton is set to deliver my patio door today. Great. Thank you so much. I then call Hamilton location... For 40mins and never got through to deliveries. Customer service looked up my order and confirmed delivery for today. I asked for a time frame. She then transferred me to deliveries manager I'm assuming... She says. I was taken off the schedule because they don't deliver to my location on Fridays. Really? How incompetent can they be. Needless to say that was our first and last order with Lowes. Brutal. I'm not one to complain but this was beyond me. read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced at this location. People don't know about their product and won't help with discrepancies with flyer pricing v.s. The prices in store. They don't help their customers but instead snap at then when being questioned. I will stick with home depot or Rona, this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

I ordered online for a store pickup- the process should have been simple (at least that's what I had expected) They asked for my photo ID, same credit card that I had used to pay online (what if it was a present for my sister who's house is located close to Lowe's) they do not allow a pickup unless they see your credit card (in my opinion this is a bad customer experience) Their red vest employees (who are presented with a logo or tag line that they smile) they are extremely rude! A girl named Hannah at the customer service took her time to just bring my order, and she never smiled! I love how you have extremely long hours, so I can show up with my screaming child at 6:00 AM, and my other screaming child just before 10:00 PM. I love how you are big, bright and clean. If I could give a rating of zero stars I would. This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I placed an order for an in-store pick up - I received a notification that due to COVID-19, they were experiencing some delay in filling orders. No problem, I could wait. 3 days later I received a notification stating my order had been cancelled - no explanation. In the meantime, they had already taken the purchase price out of my bank account. I monitored my bank account for a week after for the refund transaction, which never came. It is now going on 10 business days since they took out the money and still no refund. I have tried numerous times to get through to their customer service but have been on hold for hours at a time never speaking with a live agent. I had sent an email, and receive a notification of a case number and that someone would get back to me shortly. Again, waiting! I have still not been contacted about my refund - this is been 5 business days. This not a small refund either - it was for over $200!! Disgusting - I recommend you avoid purchasing from Lowes Burlington if you want to receive the product that you paid for! read more

Awesome store. Well stocked and extremely helpful staff. Went to buy paint for my outdoor urns. They were so helpful and even told me tips about what I was buying. Even recommended I wear gloves and that it won't stain my clothes or my driveway. It was a quick trip in and out because I could find my items and got such good help. Happy customer. read more

No one will ask if you need help with something and when you ask them for help they make it seem like a major inconvenience. They never seem to have the basic products that I need as well... Always find myself going to the smaller hardware store down the street. They should really consider getting back to the basics as well- like getting a nut and bolt gauge... read more

Went through this store for my Hunter Douglas roller shades. The sales lady was useless, and sold me shades that ended up with a 3" gap of window showing. I have been trying for 3 months to have the issue resolved. Their solution was for me to leave the product on my windows and discount it by 50%, or, move to silhouette blinds that are 2x the cost = $10,000+. BUNCH OF CROOKS!!! read more

Absolute dissatisfaction. Customer service in returns nice enough, however, the MOD Alan was absolutely unprofessional. Had a few returns without the receipt (all unopened and unused), Alan without even looking what it is, stated with a very autocratic tone that he has the right to refuse a return without a receipt and threw almost all products back into the cart. No wonder, the store was empty, keep it up. read more
