Our kids went outside and played catch while us adults relaxed and enjoyed the wines, you can see them from the massive windows. The food was wonderful, the goat cheese fondue isn't too rich like a traditional cheese, try it! The hanger steak was so tender and juicy, scallops were not overcooked. Compared to the beautiful settings and atmosphere we've experienced at other local wineries, this venue did not impress us. We started with the bruschetta bread and the spinach artichoke dip, and both were very good. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal did not live up to the start. We had stopped at another winery beforehand for drinks and really wished we would have stayed there for dinner instead. There were five of us dining, and none of us left feeling wowed by our meals. I ordered the Gnocchi Brue, which is described as "tender chunks of filet mignon simmered in a Cabernet wine demi-glace with mushrooms and onions, served over potato gnocchi with Gorgonzola cheese." Unfortunately, the meat was very tough and did not seem like filet mignon. I also felt the Gorgonzola cheese in my meal did not complement the dish. The appetizers were the highlight, but overall, the atmosphere, dining experience, and entrées fell short, especially compared to the other wineries we visited in the Geneva area.

After thinking for a moment the person who answered the phone kindly obliged and sent over a great wine and the most beautiful charcuterie board that we promptly devoured. We ended our evening in the comfortable jacuzzi tub and then slept in the incredibly comfortable bed. The Lakehouse Inn and more specifically the beach house suite is the perfect stay if you're looking for rest, relaxation and impeccable service. Weekday pricing was very reasonable. My only gripe was the peculiar sitting area, with a motley crew of decor. But that's a minor oversight for what was otherwise a perfect day. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Geneva on the lake.
