Over the past few weeks, I have been visiting Extra Space nearly every day as I prepare to move. I was reminded during these weeks of the amazing customer service provided by Shad and his team (particularly Juan). Shad was kind, accommodating, helpful and went above and beyond to make my experience at Extra Space exceptional. He really knows his stuff and is able to respond to customer needs simply and quickly. I was in the office a lot and saw him interact with many other clients and I am happy to say that my treatment wasn't special--he really values all the clients and treats them all with the same respect and care. Juan was always friendly and willing to help; he anticipated needs prior to my even asking. While the costs (which are out of the control of the staff of course) continue to climb, I will keep my storage in this space based on the customer service. Highly recommend!! They have carts to help you move goods more easily, a freight elevator and a 3 bay loading dock.

Our move was sizeable 3bd apt in a house to a 2bd smaller townhouse. They disassembled, reassembled, and arranged furniture in the most effective configuration. They were real people who truly cared about the job they did. They also understood how stressful moving is. My move took 6 hours and they were moving the entire time. April 2026, I discovered the top wire of my unit had been cut and pulled open, indicating…read moreunauthorized access. I later confirmed an item had been stolen from my unit. I consistently paid my bill on time and accepted several rate increases over the years -- ironically including a $20 increase the same month my unit was broken into. What was most disappointing was the response. When I reported the issue on a Saturday, the manager on duty seemed more focused on telling me she was leaving in 10 minutes than addressing the seriousness of the situation. I was initially told no incident report would be created because nothing was immediately confirmed missing and that since I had declined the coverage plan, there was no reason to file a report. Even more concerning, the damaged unit remained exposed and unrepaired for over a week after I notified them. Once you decline the protection plan, there seems to be very little urgency, empathy, or customer support when a serious security issue occurs. I understand insurance limitations, but this review is about security and customer service. During signup, security cameras and protections are emphasized, but later I learned cameras do not cover all units. If you rent here, I strongly recommend asking whether your specific unit is actually within camera view. As a long-term customer, I expected a much more serious response to a compromised unit and theft. I have filed a police report regarding this incident, and if others have experienced something similar at this location, I would encourage them to do the same.
