We had so much fun out on the lake and the girls were so nice! Definitely can't wait for our next kayaking adventure!

Here's the real scoop. So there's a $6 entry fee into the parking area BUT it's actually very worth it because after parking, there's a canopy you stand under where someone will drive up on a golf cart and take you down to the lake AND BACK (BUT BRING TIP MONEY FOR THEM, you don't have to tip them but they have a sign in the golf cart that says tips are appreciated). The lake area is a pretty decent walk and going back it's all an uphill walk but you'll be a golf cart so it's worth it. Also, to find the Go Paddle AZ look for the standing boards floating in the water, their booth area is right across from that. They do have lockers you can rent for $2 flat after you purchase whatever activity you chose with them. They give you a key with a floatation device attached to it. ***THEY WILL ALSO PROVIDE LIFE JACKETS INCLUDED IN WHAT ACTIVITY YOU PAY FOR*** The lake is super clean and there's a restaurant on the water as well as a small store for things like snacks, sunscreen, floatation devices, etc.

After 6 years as an Arizonan, I finally made my way over to Lake Pleasant for the 1st time last weekend for some kayaking. I found Go Paddle AZ on Yelp and thought it sounded like a good time. When we got there, they were out of kayaks (to be fair, people are able to book ahead online), but they had plenty of paddle boards available. Long story short, we had so much fun despite the cold water and several ungraceful topples into it that we went back yesterday. This time, we got the kayaks, and it was even better. The staff are very casual and friendly, chatting with each other and the customers. For that reason, there may be a bit of a wait just to get in the door. No one is wearing a mask in this area, but they are restricting it to 1group at a time in their store. It can be pricey as a family (paid just over $120 for a tandem and 2 single kayaks for 2 hours), but totally worth it in my opinion. Pro tips from someone who isn't yet a pro: 1) Parking for a car is $7 - and they don't accept cash. Come prepared. 2) Your GPS likely has no idea where to go and will lead you to the convenience store inside the gates. The good news is - plenty of snacks and drinks (including beer) if you haven't brought your own. 3) There are NO signs for Go Paddle AZ in the lot. If you want to head straight there, take a right at the first stop sign past the front gate (off of 87th) and drive to the blue canopy in parking lot B1 and park where you can. Then wait by the canopy for a volunteer driver to take you to the water. They accept tips, though not required. But I have to say, my family is the only one who tipped both times I've went. Bring a little cash to throw their way for the service! Again, come prepared. 4) Kayaking is better than Paddleboarding any day. There are so many boats making the water choppy that you won't be standing much anyway. Plus, your arms will be a lot more sore with the 1-sided oar (you're welcome for that rhyme). We had drifted so far that it took a lot of muscle to get back. 5) Although you can book for just an hour, I highly recommend going for 2-3 hours. 1 hour is barely enough time to allow for checking back in when you return. 6) They have lockers for rent but also sell waterproof bags - 100% recommend the bags. It held my drinks and snacks and clothes as well as my phone in its own waterproof case and fits perfectly on to your kayak or board. With our hot summers, I'm sure I'll be back very soon!

What an amazing day we had at the lake and it's thanks to the great customer service of Go Paddle AZ. Our little family of 3 decided to take out some kayaks, our first time. My 6 year old had a blast. I thought it would be much harder to use the kayak and had visions of tipping into the lake, lol, but it was so easy to manage. One hour was plenty of time for our first time. I can't believe I haven't don't this before and since we loved it so much we will definitely be doing this again. We might even get adventurous, eventually, and rent the paddle boards.

Great prices. Equipment is well-taken care of. Staff is chill, friendly, and seem diligent at helping a few groups at a time. I've rented single and tandem kayaks, as well as SUP (stand-up paddle boards). With or without a reservation, I've never had much of a wait. Their website clearly shows the current temperature and wind speed. Keep an eye on that or give them a call; they've been happy to answer my questions or help me plan. They definitely want everyone to be safe & have fun. Once you pass through the harbor entrance, you park in the huge lot and a volunteer shuttle driver will give you a ride to the docks where the rental shop, restaurant, and docks are. You can also walk, maybe a 15-20 min walk. I like to support the volunteer drivers with a tip... and I'm kinda lazy!

Overall the experience was great ! The girls working were so helpful and I had a blast on the yaks

everyone was super friendly and helpful. breathtaking views. the lake is kind of small and wide open so we didn't use our whole time we paid for. you do not get a refund if you come back early so just keep that in mind!

This is an amazing location! Such a great spur of the moment adventure with a friend and her son! It was my first time kayaking - not for lack of trying. I had been scheduled to kayak on a couple cruise excursions and they all canceled due to weather. It's a bit of a walk from parking to to the lake, but my girlfriend and I didn't mind at all. There were some golf cart transportation options. This is a beautiful slice of paradise... we literally picked the best day to go! Jared was so patient and informative, showing me some best practices with the paddles and sharing some others' experiences to shorten my learning curve. I felt comfortable getting around in the kayak within 10 minutes! There were just a few other people there... not crowded at all.

Never rented a kayak before and decided we'd come here and give it a try. I called a few days ahead of time just to get information and questions answered. The girl that answered had great customer service and answered all my questions. When we arrived, there was no one else there and we were helped right away. We got there around 10am, so it was a bit early and I don't think it's water sport season. Hahaha The gentleman was so courteous and got us squared away quick. My wife and I got a tandem kayak and brought our tiny little puppy along. Be sure to have a dog life vest if you want to bring a furry friend. The kayak seemed in good condition. It was a little hard to figure out at first, but we got the hang of it quick. There wasn't much boat traffic, so we were able to explore with ease. I'm sure it can get pretty busy out there some days. I'm not sure if they do much cleaning for covid, but I guess they say they do. Google maps will take you a weird way, so once you get off the main road, I suggest turning google maps off and following the signs. You'll pull up and pay $7 to get in. Go to the right, to the paved parking lot and park there. You can either walk down to the marina or take a tram.

We had an absolute blast at Go Paddle AZ. Booking a time was easy, as was getting there. You park in the main lot and wait for little "shuttles" (extended golfcarts) to scoop you up under a big tent - which even has free drinking water! Shuttles run one after another, so don't worry if you don't get on the first to arrive. This was our first time doing SUP. The employees were awesome - super-friendly - and set us up really quickly. They have optional baggies if you want to take a phone or keys and keep them dry. I didn't want to risk it, so we left our things in the shop. Time is by the hour, and you're charged extra if you return past your alotted time slot. If you go out without a watch or phone, either yell at passerbys for the time (did that) or do your best guestimating (didn't want to do that). They also have punch-cards that can earn you a free visit. Would definitely come back here!

    Beautiful day on the water.

These guys are great! We've rented kayaks on two separate occasions and they are so helpful, friendly and laid back. Can't wait for our next kayaking adventure!

Moonlight kayaking tour before the sun went down. We had a break for bonfires, roasting marshmallows, and s'mores.
    Megan L.

I went with a group to go moonlight kayaking and it was amazing! The staff was so kind and our tour guides were awesome. In the middle of the tour, we banked and they had bonfires set up for us. We roasted marshmallows and made s'mores. We may have even passed a few bottles around...... I hope to do it again in the future. I highly recommend it! PS be sure to bring cash to tip the drivers and guides. I didn't realize it and felt bad for not tipping. I said THANK YOU a lot but I'm sure they would have preferred the $$$.

Mega fun. My fiancé and me wanted to have some fun and rented a two person kayak. We had an amazing time and the staff at Go Paddle are very nice.

I was hesitant at first because doing anything in a group setting with people I don't know is really outside of my comfort zone. I decided to take a leap of faith and signed up for a trial membership. The first class I took was a Basics class with Jodi and I was completely blown away! She is so kind, compassionate and encouraging. She gives off such an amazing energy and I felt immediately comfortable with her. She is a phenomenal yoga teacher and I love that she provides assistance when I need it. She taught me how to do a headstand and I never in a million years thought that was something I'd be able to learn. I also love attending Linda's classes. Her laugh and personality are so infectious and I get so much out of her classes, especially her Meridian Flow class. Janet is a great instructor as well, I took her yoga sculpt class for the first time last night and enjoyed it so much. One thing I really appreciate about Kula is that they say my name correctly when checking me in for each class. This really means a lot to me because most people that don't know me just call me "Sherry" which isn't the correct pronunciation. I've dealt with that most of my life so it makes me really happy when I come across people that actually say it right! Becoming a member at Kula has truly been one of the best decisions I've ever made for myself. I haven't felt this good both physically and mentally in a really long time and I am so incredibly grateful!!
