This place is in the same building as H Mart! I've been to this H Mart location multiple times, but this was my first time trying one of the restaurants inside. I came here after work with some friends looking for a quick meal, and the menu looked really satisfying, so I went for it. I got the pork katsu curry in a medium, which was a good amount of food for $14. It took about five minutes for my food to be ready, and it was definitely worth the wait. The curry had a subtle spiciness that made it flavorful, and it came with cabbage on the side. The katsu itself was cooked perfectly, and I loved how it paired with the curry. The employees were kind and answered all of my questions. As for seating, it's set up like a food hall, so there's plenty of space. I was with four other people, and we had no trouble finding a table together. If you're ever in Central Square and looking for a quick meal, consider stopping by here (and maybe doing some shopping at H Mart afterward)! read more

Came to Go Go Curry right after arriving in Cambridge since I wanted to do some grocery shopping at HMart. The service was good and the person taking my order was patient while I determined which bowl looked the yummiest. It's a fast-casual spot so you pay when you order and they'll call out your order number when it's ready. There is a small open area for seating that is shared with the other small eateries inside HMart. I ordered the chicken Home Run combo meal and it was everything you would expect. The chicken and the egg were a little drier than I would have liked, but taste was still decent. For a place with "curry" in the name, I would've liked more curry. The sausage and tempura shrimp were good quality and my favorite parts of the whole dish. There's lots of people coming and going as it is a supermarket, but if you're just looking for a quick stop meal before/after your grocery shopping, Go Go Curry is an okay choice. read more

Yum yum Go Go Curry!! We really enjoy our Japanese curry at GoGo Curry! This place is located inside the H-mart store entrance and it's a quick easy dinner. It's an order at the counter kind of place and there is plenty of seating to choose from once you placed your order. They have different sizes for the curry plate. They range from small to extra large. We always get the large which my bf and I think is a good entree size for dinner. When your order is ready they call out your number and you go and pick up your tray of delicious food! This time we ordered a side of gyoza with our chicken and pork curry plates. They have these new paper bowls which are super sturdy and hold the curry pretty well. I really enjoy the extra crispy meat with the nice and savory curry sauce. It's such a yummy treat! The curry plates come with rice which is nicely hidden underneath the delicious curry! read more

One of several stalls in the food court of Hmart, Go Go Curry is a quick fix for those craving Japanese style curried rice and panko coated fried goodness. You place an order at the ramen shop to the left, listen as your ticket prints back at the other side, and then take two steps back to wait for your number to be called. Grab your order once called, sit yourself at the endless number of often empty spots at the food court, and dive right in without hesitation. The world is good again as thy Japanese curried rice cravings are fixed. If life was just always this easy... One thing I've always found amusing here is their "World Champion Combo"...which I'm sure at one point was a real challenge to complete. But the fried katsus are now close to paper thin and not the thick standard katsu you would receive standard at any other Japanese spot. In essence, the only challenge now is how much rice you can technically put away, which would be relatively easy to do for anyone having grown up in an Asian household - lol. So it really makes me wonder when they say "feeds 4"...(birds?). I was still hungry after one grand slam so ordered another one and finished it. That technically means I finished a world champion combo...which really didn't take much effort at all. read more

This is a Japanese chain that serves, you guessed it, all things curry! It is located inside the H-mart in Cambridge and shares dining tables with the surrounding food court restaurants. They have a plastic display of their food items by the counter so you know what to expect before you order. Their menu includes fish katsu, sausage, vegetable tempura, shrimp tempura, or their most popular katsu curry. The first time I came here, I shared the World Champion dish with a group of friends. This dish is HUGE and includes 4 pieces of katsu, 4 sausages, 2 tempura shrimp, and 2 eggs over a bed of rice. I recommend this in a group of 3 or more people. By myself, I've ordered the medium chicken katsu Curry with white Rice which is very filling and a huge portion that I could barely finish. The curry is very flavorful and a bit on the salty side which I like. Their katsu is fried perfectly and not overdone or dry. This is my to go spot when I shop at the Cambridge H-mart. read more

Crispy katsu paired with delicious curry = happy stomach. Katsu breading is crunchy, flaky, and seasoned well. Shrimp tempura was the same but a bit greasy. The curry had great flavor and a bit of a kick, which perfectly enhances the flavors of all the other elements on the plate. Sausage had the crunch and was super juicy. Slaw was a good break from all the flavors and fried food. The curry dish was a great meal overall. Unlike many of the other reviews, I think this place is pretty solid (I've only been here a couple times as of this review). The prices are pretty good and the meal is satisfying and tasty. I call that a win in my books. The food also comes out relatively quick (depending on the traffic) and the seating area is decently clean. Keep in mind, the Go Go Curry is in Hmart, so it's not necessarily the place you take someone visiting the area. But it definitely is a great spot for a quick lunch or dinner if you're nearby. read more

Stopped at this food stall before my H-mart grocery shopping. I didn't know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. The chicken was super thin, bread well, and not too oily. The curry was a lot thicker and darker than I am used to and was rich in flavor. It was slightly sweet and not super spicy. I think it's worth the stop when on the way to errands but wouldn't go out of my way to come again. read more

I love Katsu Curry and usually venture over to Porter square when I have the craving but I happened to be doing some shopping at Hmart and decided to give this place a try. Go go curry is ok, it'll do curry. The flavor was standard, though a little more spicy than the norm though not at all overwhelming. The underwhelming part of it was definitely the chicken cutlet. Wow was it thin, we're talking paper thin which is nice in terms of crispy/crunchiness but disappointing in terms of portion and bang for your buck. Where's the chicken? I'm giving 3 stars but I really think it was a 2.5 star meal. It wasn't terrible but there are way better options for katsu curry in Porter Square (Ebi Sushi in Union square also does a decent katsu curry). The price point feels like a deal until you realize you're paying for white rice, some cabbage and mostly breading. read more

This was a doordash delivery. The food still tastes pretty good. This is the world champion curry, serves 4. There were 4 katsu patties sliced up, some eggs and sausages and fried shrimp. There was ample rice and curry in each plate. I've had this at the restaurant and I don't feel like I've missed out on much in the flavor and experience (other than everything coming on one gigantic plate). This is a great spot for "fast" food in the area. There are different proteins you can choose from (chicken katsu, pork katsu, shrimp tempura, tofu katsu, sausage, etc) and 4 different portion sizes priced differently based on how much rice you get. If you want a bigger portion or are in the mood to share, they also have curry meal sets that come with more rice and extra portions of protein. We got the grand slam (~$21) which came with chicken and pork katsu, 2 sausages, 1 shrimp tempura, and 1 sliced egg. The food was prepared super quickly. I honestly couldn't tell the difference between the chicken and pork katsu. Both had a super crispy crust. The shrimp tempura looked big but ended up being mostly batter. The sausages were surprisingly tasty-- they were very savory and juicy. read more

I really enjoy eating some katsu curry whenever I'm in New York, so I was somewhat looking forward to coming here for dinner. It was located in the H Mart food court area, fairly close to the entrance. Unfortunately, I found this place to be subpar both in portion size and the quality of the food. First I found the setup to be quite strange. It shared the same ordering counter as Sapporo Ramen. They did have plenty of signs letting you know which cashier was for which restaurant. After placing my order for a home run chicken katsu curry with added fukujinzuke, I found a spot to wait for my food. Once my food was ready, the employee punched in my order number and the machine announced my order number. Unlike in NY where they serve your food on metal platters, the food here was served in paper bowls. That's all fine, but the portion size was significantly smaller. The curry tasted okay, but it seemed a bit too thin. If it's going to be like this compared to what I'm used to in NY, then I probably won't be coming back here. read more

Japanese fast food inside H-Mart food court. If you set the right expectations, it's pretty tasty and convenient. We tried the large chicken katsu. The chicken wasn't dry, and it was moderately crispy. The curry actually didn't overwhelm the dish as I expected it might. One bite with the combination of rice, crunchy cabbage, and katsu is pretty tasty. I like the differences in texture. The rice was soft and not dry as well. The food came out hot. A little on the salty side. The large felt more like a medium -- we wish there was more food! We waited maybe 5 minutes for takeout Saturday for lunch. read more

When I found out this chain was next to H-mart, I was very shocked. This is a staple curry chain in Japan. The plastic display items are pretty accurate to the dish. Not sure why more people don't come here. The cutlets and shrimp tempura are fried to perfection and stay crispy even in the sauce. I recommend eating it at the food court before it gets soggy. The only complaint I have is that the hard boiled eggs are very strange on the grand championship curry meal. Can't they make it a fried egg to absorb the sauce? Even an omelette style scrambled egg would do. If you want drinks, then I recommend buying one from H mart or bringing your own since the restaurant doesn't give free water. read more

What you'd expect for fast food curry! Not worth going out of your way for, but if you get hungry while shopping at Hmart, it's a convenient bite to eat. Go Go Curry never disappoints! I find this place to be a very solid choice whenever I'm craving something savory after shopping at Hmart. Their food quality is always consistent and plenty tasty as well as affordable. The portion size is also really great in relation to the taste! I always go for one of the bigger bowls with more toppings as I find variety to be important, but if you're just in the mood for curry, their standard curry is plenty delicious. Their menu allows more or less rice as well which lets people choose just how full they want to get after eating. The only con here is that when I asked for a cup of water, they said they couldn't give it to me. I find it strange that they don't have access to cups or water ( I'm pretty sure they have to provide *something* ) but there are other restaurants around that give out drinks so it wasn't unsalvagable. Regardless, I have nothing bad to say about the food. The service could be a bit friendlier and more accommodating, but since you just order at the front and grab your food when it's finished, it's not like there's much interaction with the staff throughout the whole experience. read more

Its been awhile since I was in this area. My original review was 8 years ago!! They are still turning out tasty katsu curry dishes. I had the pork on this last visit.. size large. The pork was a bit thin but it was fresh, crispy and delicious. Their curry sauce is salty, savory deliciousness. The amount of rice and sauce on the large was not quite enough for me. For a quick weekday dinner after shopping at H-mart, I decided on curry. I placed my order for a large katsu curry, paid at the counter, and got my order within 5 minutes. It matched my expectations as a supermarket food hall meal. The curry tasted like house brand curry, and "large" just meant more rice without enough sauce to go with it, so half the rice went ungarnished. Convenience is the only reason to return, and even that does not seem compelling. read more

This yummy curry spot is located to the right when you enter H Mart. My mom and I ordered the pork Home Run Curry to share and some drinks. I was very pleasantly surprised when I found a Go Go Curry out here in Cambridge right inside an H Mart! Since moving to NYC area they've become quite numerous in NYC indeed. Overall it definitely has the Japanese curry feel down correctly however I thought maybe the curry sauce was a tad too rich and thick. But its a relatively cheap and delicious curry option. Decent curry - tasty and simple. I stop by when I'm hungry and need a quick hearty bite of food to get through the day. However, don't get their add-ons, like the boiled egg. Not only does it cost an obscene $2.55, but it's overboiled, cold, green-colored, and gross. I like this spot for some Japanese katsu curry combos when I'm shopping at H mart. It's nice for a quick, cheap-ish hot lunch. Service is fast/polite and prices are reasonable for what you get. Also another reviewer was really upset that this wasn't Indian curry. That's because it's not Indian curry...it's Japanese curry. So no need to be upset. :) read more

This is a good place to go to if you're hungry and want some quick Japanese curry or katsu fix. It's a very low key place, you place the order at the counter, wait for your number to show up on the number board, and go back up to pick up your food. I believe they are also on some of the food delivery/takeout apps. The food is pretty good. Depending on your preferences, it may be a bit on the saltier side, but the rice and the cabbage slaw balances it out. The katsu is always fried to perfection and goes great with the curry sauce. I, also, like to top it off with a "bit" of sriracha for a kick. It may not be the most authentic or most healthy option, but it's a great place for a quick lunch or a quick dinner before grocery shopping inside HMart. Also, you can grab a dessert few steps away from Paris Baguette! read more

I would give 4.5. Definitely a very very solid fast food option for katsu. It's definitely not the most spectacular katsu, I crave it often and it is most importantly conveniently located. Food I've tried: - PORK KATSU CURRY ($10 - small): nice and filling. Appropriately crispy, and the meat is well marinated so it is not dry. The sauce is not overly sweet, has the perfect touch of tanginess. The portion is very reasonable, and you can order larger sizes depending on how hungry you are. It comes on a bed of cabbages, which adds a nice refreshing crunch. - For the most value, I would say to get the largest size and split. If you have 3 people, get the WORLD CHAMPION CURRY for the most variety and value. Atmosphere: - It is located in the food court area of the Hmart. There is a decent number of open seating. Vibe is that of a standard mall food court. - Seating can get pretty busy throughout the day, especially because there are H mart shoppers walking in and out of the court. Service: - You order at the counter, and pick up when your order number is ready. Food comes out relatively quickly. Overall: - Quick, solid meal for a reasonable price. read more

It's sub par. As a Japanese, their curry is border line inedible. So, in Japan, every coffee shop serves curry. They cook rice, and buy a canned curry. When you order, they heat up curry, put it on rice and serve. Go Go Curry tastes worse than the canned curry. Also, you can make Japanese style curry pretty easily by buying Japanese curry sauce in box. I make them for my family. Go Go curry's curry is worse than that. It's just not worth paying. read more

This curry is actually amazing. I am usually pretty picking about my Japanese curry but this exceeded my expectations. Located in HMart in Cambridge, it provides plenty of seats. The food didn't take long at all. In the picture was the platter ordered by my friends but I ordered the regular XL chicken katsu curry to go. The food itself is given 5 stars, but it is decently pricey. The XL is approximately the same size as takeout from a mall cafeteria while being more expensive. However, this curry was so good I would definitely come back for a cheat day for this. read more

The pick-up ordering system is pretty dismal. But the curry is awesome enough to tolerate it. They charged $3 more for ordering there on the spot, but I tried to save money by doing EAT24/EATSTREET (there was likely a promo at the time). Do it only if you have time to kill and groceries that won't spoil if you're thinking of shopping at H-Mart. The time I waited it easily went over the 20 mins estimated waiting time. They didn't even start putting together my order when I bugged them about it 25 minutes after placing my order online. Ordering there still takes awhile, but the wait is under 25 mins vs the 30+ you have when doing pick-up. That said, their curry is delicious, which is why I order here as often as I do (I'm currently the Duke, apparently). My buddy who worked in Sapporo loves this chain. Their pork katsu is normally what I get to go, and they *used* to make it so it stays in pretty good shape and not too terribly soggy by the time you get it home. The sauce was nicely separated from the rest of the food. Nowadays, the way they package it -with sauce all over the katsu and under- it gets things real soggy, real fast. Ask for the sauce on the side. The cutlet for the katsu is not as panko-breaded, which I feel was one of the changes in the past year, along with their prices, which had gone up, I believe. The sauce is amazing, though. If possible, just buy loads of the sauce and make your own curry for a fraction of the price. read more

We actually came into this H-Mart to seek shelter during a torrential downpour - and then decided to eat dinner to wait out the rain. Go! Go! Curry! was pretty quick to bring out the food, but the portions were small and the price was high for the quality of food in my opinion. There wasn't enough chicken and the serving of vegetables was tiny. It's basically the fast food version of curry so you can't expect much, but I was hoping it would be more for what we paid. I compare my meal here to the Abiko curry I had in NJ, which I thought was 10x better and much more worth the price, but beggars can't be choosers! It was still comforting on a rainy day. read more

tl;dr Eh. I know I'm going to go again, but it's not super delicious. I became addicted to gogo curry in Japan. It's incredibly delicious over there, and I highly recommend eating it if you ever find yourself in a Japanese gogo curry. The stuff at HMart is very sour. The rice is kind of cold, which is very strange. The katsu is really good though. The sausages kind of suck? The shrimp tempura is passable. A solid katsu curry place! I haven't been able to find a restaurant that has the crispiest (but not in a bad, dry way) pork and rich curry, so kudos to Go! Go! Curry. It's in a food court right in front of H mart, and the price is pretty comparable to other Japanese curry places. The small side of cabbage salad that's included cuts the richness of the rice and meat, but I wish it had a little light dressing on it or something... also, you can tell it's just taken from a package of coleslaw cabbage from the way it's cut and how it has red cabbage and carrots... nothing like the thinly shredded cabbage shown in the food displays. I recommend if people are in the area and looking for a place to eat! No frills: you order at the counter and wait until they call your number. read more

They now have a "vegetable tempura" topping for vegetarians who want something more substantial than the various tsukemono (pickled vegetable) or egg toppings. It's really kakiage, like you might find in udon, for those who are more familiar with Japanese food. According to the CEO of Go Go Curry USA when she gave a panel at Anime Boston 2018, it's a US-exclusive topping. It's not bad, though the most recent time I ate it, it was slightly burnt. As for why the curry is different from the Japanese curry you find at other restaurants or from the roux boxes, it's a local variation from Go Go Curry's hometown, Kanazawa curry: https://ishikawajet.wordpress.com/2012/09/19/kanazawa-curry/ read more

Contrary to most reviews i think this place is delicious. I come here everytime i visit boston. I'll list the negatives and positives. Positives: tasty fragrant curry, the spices are unlike any curry I've ever had and a bit of the curry packs a lot of flavor. The katsu is crunchy and they do chicken and pork katsu well without over drying the meat. I'm a huge fan of this dish so i can attest to this being a very good version of katsu curry. Negatives: you don't get a lot of food and curry for what you pay for so you may leave a bit hungry. I get the grand slam curry and share it but we're still a little hungry after wards. The sausage and shrimp is unnecessary and doesn't really add much to the dish. Also this isn't a meaty curry broth, it's a thick liquid broth. The katsu is very thin but still very good. I think the displays are a bit of false advertisement. Overall, bad pricing but really good food that keeps me coming back. I mean their curry is clearly not the box kind and the meat is good. read more
