Literally just walked out. I walked in the store, no one was there. As I'm looking at a product I've used for years, the salesman comes out and greets me. He then proceeds to asking me why I'm looking at the product that has its own section on the wall floor to ceiling. I told him it tastes great. I was then told that it's so bad for me. WTH?!?! So before asking about my needs, both physical and health as to why maybe I use this product, I'm told it's bad for me. Why do you sell a product that is bad for your customers health? I asked him about supporting the products he sells in the store. His answer, "not that one." I was told things got better at this location, it seems to have gotten worse. read more

I give Presley 5 stars for his knowledge, effort, attitude, friendliness, etc and etc. He genuinely cares what a customer should and shouldn't take (which are a waste and which aren't. which are gross and which aren't gross) and which are the best to meet their needs and goals. Not because he wants to sell you a bunch of products, but because you should really take them for your particular goal to be met! He knows this! Can't ask for a better GNC coach. Every time I come to get something here the person working talks me into getting something different. Every time when I realize I left with something I don't want I have to throw away what I was convinced to buy and go buy what I actually wanted. This time I decided to go back and exchange for what I actually wanted rather than just waste my money. I went to one location I was near they refused to take my product back stating it was from a franchise store. So I returned back to this franchise store where I purchased the product. However this store also would not accept the return because they had also offered a free product that I also didn't want - so I gave it away. Now I am stuck with this unwanted product. And still don't have what I actually was looking for. Best advice would probably be to shop elsewhere but in the case you must, then pop in your noise canceling headphones and don't talk to anyone when you go to GNC to buy something! read more

I dont know where to start but Taj had phenomenal customer service. From the time i walked in and let him know what my fitness goals were and what he thought would help me. He gave me a variety of information that even i didnt know and was able to understand He helped me with differences in products and what to look for in a product that will benefit me and help me achieve my goal. GNC mistakenly shipped me the wrong product with my order. They wanted me to spend my time, money, and gas and waste an hour of my life to return the product to a store 35min away (over an hour round trip) or make a trip to the post office. Not an accepatable solution for some crappy product that was worth about $70. It would cost me more than that in time, money, and gas to return it. Basically, their policy is to make me pay for their mistake. The product is going in the trash and I cancelled my membership. Screw you GNC. read more

First time stopping by this GNC and I thought it was odd that they were trying to sell non GNC products from other vendors they promote! After I purchased something they recommended, tried it and didn't like the product went back for an exchange and said they couldn't offer on non GNC products! Long story short if you are a GNC pro member you CAN NOT use perks at this location bc they are a "Franchised" location they will NOT take your coupons or rewards earned at least in my experience! Staff was not costumer satisfactory at all they are just there to push out new products w out a care of what their clients need or want! I called this store and this women who claimed to be new was very nice at first and didn't know if something I needed was in stock and put me on hold to go find out. I waited on hold for 30 minutes. I took a screen shot at about 21 minutes. I called shortly after to ask if they were busy or she just forgot. It did sound busy which is understandable. However, she told me it's it's a company policy that they have to take in store customers first(which is actually not true). My only complaint here is that is just common courtesy to let the person know they're busy and offer a call back. That only take 3 seconds and I don't think the waiting customer would mind because it also makes them feel that the employee is dedicated to helping the first. This also prevents a busy phone customer from wasting the most important asset we all have.. Time.. read more

I asked multiple times if they had discounts going on and GNC was having a buy 2 get 1 free sale and they didn't tell me and I go online when I get home and see it immediately lol. On top of that like a previous review said they kept trying to push random non GNC brand products which I felt fishy about and it's cuz they have a partnership with them. They also charge more for items than online and when I checked my account they never gave me my PRO member points even though he asked for my phone number. I get you guys are franchised but this is how u lose customers. Will not be returning here instead will make the longer drive to the Livermore one where they always take good care of me. Gnc Manteca have a great team very knowledgeable, and great customer service. A few weeks ago they posted on their Instagram asking their customers what they wanted to see in the store. So I replied asking if they could carry a certain energy drink, and a few days later they had them. Not just one flavor, but four flavors. If you're looking for a friendly GNC, which has employees that help educate you about supplements, then this is a place to go. I usually go to the gnc's in the mall/ corporate stores for that matter and all they did was push their store brand on me and won't give me the time to check out the products on my own- this one however is family owned and they ask you if you have any questions, if you don't then they respect your space. Jay the owner is someone who I'd like to thank, because he is really professional and loves what he is doing- not only that, his staff is well trained and knowledgeable. They also have a new in body machine test, which is free to use- it uses electric waves to check your muscle and fat percentages. Terrible customer service. As a business owner if my employees treated my customers the way I was treated here, they would be fired! I was looking for a diuretic, the guy looked at me like i was from Mars and tried to sell me a fat burner. When I told him that wasn't what i was really looking for, that I just wanted something to get rid of water, he haphazardly looked around, grabbed something from the nearest shelf, handed it to me, said "this should work" and walked off. He was too busy after that, chatting it up with his gym rat buddy about the ingredients in whatever supplements it is that gym rats take, to help me further. I went to GNC this past Tuesday and was immediately greeted by Todd. I explain to him that I was looking for some vitamins and I was I needed specific vitamins he pointed me to where they were and began to sell me; which is fine I'm an adult and I know GNC is known for their vitamins and how they are made so no problem with that. I then began to ask about protein products and he told me what he used and I saw a product and began to ask him about it, at that moment a man and his son walked in and Todd basically brushed me off and rushed me the through my transaction. Keep in mind this customer was there to weigh himself at least I thought that's what he was doing because he started to take off his socks and Todd was instructing him. I ended up spending slightly less than 60.00 for three bottles of vitamins and possibly would of purchased more but it was clear to me he wasn't interested keep in mind I was probably in the store total time less than 15 minutes from walk in to walk out. In the future I might just go to Rite Aid because they carry GNC products or next time I'll just say no thank you I don't need your help you can just point me in the direction of what I'm looking for and save myself the bum rush sale. #goodjobTodd read more

Been going to this gnc for almost 6 months and every time I've gone with questions about supplements and dieting, I always receive great customer service and great feed back on which supplements would be better for my goals. If you're not sure on how to have a better/or start a diet. When the store was out of a supplement that I wanted, Jose called multiple GNCs in the area trying to track it down. This GNC is by far thee worst customer service you could possible imagine. Been shopping with them for years, they recently took down most of they're products that aren't GNC, the owner does not live up to gnc policy & guidelines to returns & exchanges, especially during a pandemic, you're getting over on you're customers because of you're selfish sales reps. You're literally stealing from you're customers. I have called Corp and even they said it is extremely unusual for a GNC to refuse a refund. I called store in Stockton, didn't give me a hard time for nothing to return my product, I won't ever be coming back, if you've had the same problem, call Corp & file a complaint threw them for this store. By far thee worst owner for a gnc in history. Be ashamed of yourself. If they get enough of those. They have to change management. Considering I had an allergy with the product is the only reason I've come for a return & to refuse that is absolutely beyond pathetic. If I could I'd leave 0 stars.
