I come here for all my protein needs and supplements. I had been told about the protein cookies…read morefrom the Elk Grove store and have been in love with them ever since. Recently, having a lot of appointments in Modesto, this is my go to store to refill my snack needs. I was here yesterday, and got some great help in finding delicious protein bars. OhYeah! is my new favorite. I have yet to try the drinks I picked up, but look forward to them nonetheless. This is also a great place to pick up Isopure drinks. I don't always find them at our local health store (the flavor I want that is), so this is a good alternative. I stopped in today. The same gentleman that helped me out yesterday was there today, but busy. Grabbed what I wanted and stood in line. Now, this is the reason for the -1 star. The older woman, with lined lips, saw me standing in line, but overlooked me to take the guy that got directly being the man finishing with his transaction. When my mother spoke up, she just replied coolly with; "That register is broken, I will help you next." The joker didn't need to be that way, and seeing as she had seen me waiting, customer service like that just reflects poorly on a place that I know is not often like that. With that, I put my items back where I got them, yes I could of easily left them wherever, but I put them back and left. I didn't need to waste my time waiting and my money on service like that. I'll go back in and continue to make my purchases, but I just didn't appreciate the service today, when I usually get very good customer service.

Would love if this place was a little more eco-friendly, as it a lot of plastics involved, but maybe I can bring my own straws next time, and purchase a refillable cup if they have one for next visit. I have been trying to eat better, and places like this make it possible to still go out and grab a treat and not have to feel bad about it. I got one protein mango flavored shake. It was decent but nothing to write home about, but I still enjoyed it. I also got the protein waffles with fresh fruit on top. It was good, and I would probably get it again. My grippe is I didn't see any prices posted anywhere. I don't like purchasing things. I don't know how much they are going to be. I recommend they put of clear pricing for future customers to be able to know what they are paying for. When she was done, I said, "So how much do I owe you? " She looked at the drink and waffle and said $21. I feel that's a little high for what I got, but that's just my opinion. My other advice is not to advertise items that aren't being sold regularly unless specified it is sold on such and such days. I saw the picture of the protein donuts on the front door, which peeked my interest in the first place bit when I asked to get some she said they don't have any right now. I said, "Is it something you normally have." She said,"Maybe in two weeks, they will have some." To me, that's false advertisement, haha Bottom line, very sweet owner, and wish her the best. A few improvements and tweaks should improve the customer experience.
