Came in this morning before i went to the gym. Thank goodness there is a gnc in my area. The customer service was great once i walked in. The store is clean, there was a bit of a smell (a strong cologne) in there. Some areas of the front of the store were empty but heading towards the back was full. Dewayne recommended me multiple pre workouts. I've tried many pre workouts such as c-4, alani, bucked up, ghost (i recomend ghost), total war (i recommend this too), and black market. I'm sure there's much other pre work outs that I've used but these are the ones that i can recall using. I have the preference of 250mg or more in Caffeine as it gives me that energy, that pins & needles feeling :p Dewayne recommended "Beyond Raw Lit." 15 servings (it's a big scooper but I'd rather take half of it). 250 mg of caffeine. Not to mention, it's 2 for $30!!! 1 is usually priced at $30 or more! I was sold. He's great at making recommendations! I tried a full scoop of the blue raspberry today and wow, i got the tingly feeling to work out. I went to the gym and boy i felt great. No fatigue or headache before, during, or even after my exercises. I'd definitely recommend this product and for the deal that GNC is having for it right now. Not sure of when the promo is going to end but i also wanted to add that the larger Lit products are BOGO 50% off! I asked Dewayne, "what if i don't like it or I'm not satisfied???" Comes to find out that you can return the product and received a refund or credit after a certain amount of days. Note: keep your receipts, just in case if you aren't satisfied. Overall, the Lit preworkout is great by far, and great deal at the moment (the sale started ever since the holidays). They also offer a rewards program. Ever since I became an insane distance runner, I rarely come to the GNC stores for my suppliments and other performance enhancing workout accessories that would transform me to the next level. GNC is basically geared toward the body building community, since majority of their products in this location and across the nation are basically for that. Once being a body building enthusiast, I would come to GNC Hawaii Kai or Kahala Mall to buy alot of these muscle building suppliments in hopes of being the massive, ripped up six pack awesome those professional body builders are. Since that dream died and my love for distance running began to blossom, I decided to come here just for general and overall health suppliments. GNC, like all health food stores, prides itself on good customer service and plenty of health solutions and alternatives to the general population at large. They basically have what other related business in the industry have (ie Vitamin Shoppe and Vitamin World). Nowadays, I tend to shop for multi vitamins and other assorted pills and potions to help me balance crazy life with more crazy lifestyles and traveling. While sometimes the body building stuff helps in ways I didn't think possible, having that avenue for a healthy active life is always there. Now that I am an active distance runner, I don't feel the need to pump myself up with artificial protein powders, that can be overpriced when you don't use them in the way they they are meant to be taken. This location @ Kamehameha Shopping Center is close enough to my work place, so I can come here, if I need to get something to carry on the way home after buying at lunch and don't have time to shop at the Kahala Mall or Hawaii Kai locations. With that said, this location is pretty good. The sales staff is pretty well knowledgable in what they sell, so it's a good thing to ask them with questions with the goals you are trying to reach. For me, I would like to qualify for the Boston Marathon, which could take me years of hard training and a lot of sanity. But for now, having GNC for my own general well being is cool to have. The parking situation can get dicey since it shares it's space with the entire shopping center. Located by the Baskin Robbins, GNC is a favorite place for me to shop. The only problem is that the prices are kind of high, so it depends on what you need. The overall experience is continually a good one, so I'm usually here to do my shopping. Don't be like me and buy whatever and see what happens, especially with weight loss products. It really does screw with you, if you don't know what you're doing. Been there, done that. It sucks. A friend of mine needed to stop by GNC & we ended up at the Kamehameha Shopping Center location. I didn't have to get anything but what stood out to me was the amazing customer service! My friend was being helped by Michael and he was very knowledgeable about the products. She had a ton of questions and he answered everything and made some great suggestions as far as trying new things. Sometimes salespeople can be pushy and try to push the most expensive product on customers but I noticed that he actually listened to what my friend was looking for and made suggestions based off of that. It was definitely a good experience even though I wasn't even the customer haha. Kamehameha Shopping Center location: I like this GNC! The guys here are super friendly and very helpful and knowledgable about the products. Plus it's like, 9.5 (yes) minutes away from my house. I was here last Friday March 23 to do a return around 745pm.. theres was one person behind the counter a white lady and I never get a hi welcome or anything so I said hi can I do a return? And the first thing that came out of her mouth was "you don't wanna return it where you got it from?" And continue on telling me it's her 3nd return of the day and really don't feel like doing it and I really didn't know what to say to her but sorry and I kept telling her sorry for making her work I guess but I thought that was part of your job??? And I guess having a customer feel bad and apologize is part of your job too? But this is the last time I'm going to this GNC thanks for the AWESOME service!!! read more

I've been here twice in the past week. The workers seem very knowledgeable with their products. Being a college student makes me really broke. The only exercise I can do while I'm not busy is just running around my neighborhood. Well recently I've decided to try out the products. Again, I didn't have much money to buy much. The workers were so understanding that I even think they gave me some type of discount twice from two different workers. I love this place and will probably become a regular as long as I keep running and need some type of protein to aid me. The workers will always help you if you need so. I needed some protein powder and it was 8 am after taking the kids to school. GNC opens 9 am, had some time to kill so made a few stops before heading there. Got to the door at 9:03 and it was locked, I called and female answered, asked if she was open and said no, I asked if the store opens and 9 she said yes but she's counting her drawer and sooner she hangs up the sooner she could open the door, made it seem like I was holding her back lol I asked her about the negative energy she gave me and said she was just being as forward as she could be, ok.... So, she opens door, got what I needed, got to register with my purchase and decided to give her the same honesty she gave me on the phone, mentioned I work as an opener and our doors open at 9 am as well, carry forward and drawer should be done by 9 if the store opens at 9, no excuses, she says well there's been changes, not sure what changes but the sign says open at 9, and I felt that she was making it seem like I was the reason for her opening late, she says I'm not responsible for your feels, and kept walking away between conversation with a smirk on her face. I just called the kamehameha gnc store. Its always been a good exsperiance for years and years that I've been a member. I just called and there new manager Brady I think , he wouldn't say his name clearly , he was very rude and un helpful. He asked for my number to pull up my account and said there's nothing under my number, so I called bishop street location and the manager was super helpful . Pulled up my number and told me yes u are a member , can I help u. I called back kamehameha gnc and again the guy resisted helping me on the phone. He need to go back to training or quit that job if his not happy there or maybe his pray can be answered and get fired. I own my a business and would never talk to people the way he spoke to me. Store manager Brady has helped me and my wife the last three times I've been in and man this kid knows his stuff. The reason we drive from Kaneohe all the way to this location. Last trip to his store Brady I believe was leaving the store ending his day and voluntarily stayed for a good 15-20 minutes knowing we felt very comfortable with only him. Always remembers our name and checks on our progress which makes us feel good. Great to see someone with not only with an impressive physique but the knowledge to match. My partner and I mostly shops at this GNC location since we live close by and we usually receive good customer service. But tonight, the customer service was just terrible and unacceptable. We asked the female worker to help us check if they had cases of protein shakes stocked in the back in the flavors we wanted which were strawberry and vanilla. She misheard us and thought we mentioned banana and strawberry. After repeating ourselves multiple times, she still brought out the wrong flavors. The vanilla flavor that I wanted were out-of-stock so I asked for the chocolate flavor instead. She mentioned they only had vegan chocolate and that there were no difference with it especially in the taste. What she failed to mention was that there was a BIG price difference until we noticed the total upon paying. So we told her to take out the vegan shake and substitute it for another case of a regular shake instead. She then seemed annoyed and mentioned that it would be a hassle on her to make a return transaction on the computer. I mean, isn't it her job to help us there? Very rude and unprofessional. Then she misunderstood that we wanted to switch the case of the vegan shakes for a regular flavor and handed us the receipt and told us goodbye. C'mon, what's so hard about listening? She failed to listen from the minute we walked in and her attitude needs to be addressed. What a waste of our time here tonight read more

GNC 1003 Bishop Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813 has very poor service. I bought $120 worth of products before the winter holiday season. The clerk swiped my $40 gift Visa card but did not know how to complete the transaction with my regular credit card. He attempted to refund my gift card and said it will be a few days for the refund. He then charged full price to my regular credit card. My gift card was later denied at a gas station. Upon inspection of the fine print behind my gift card, it said "Non reloadable". I returned to GNC 7 days after my purchase there and the clerk said he remembered me. I handed my Hawaii driver's license and gift card to him and showed him what the card says. He ran off, with my license and gift card, and called the manager. The manager asked for an invoice from Visa even after the clerk admitted to what he did wrong. Sadly, the gift card is issued by a 3rd party so my mom who lives in California has to obtain the invoice somehow. I even said I would accept a $40 gift certificate instead of a full refund. But the manager denied. How awful especially since the clerk apologized and acknowledged what he did wrong. And how both the manager and clerk saw that the card says non reloadable. Now I know why so many people switch to Vitamin World or Vitamin Shoppe. I will contact the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint. read more
