My husband and I came here looking for a clear protein to drink and when we got in, we weren't greeted or even acknowledged because the employees were behind the counter sharing whatever it was on their phones to each other. We were the only 2 customers in the store too, which makes it even sadder. The store did have a variety of stuff but in the end, we opted to purchase them from the brand's website instead of buying it there. We ended up getting 2 clear protein drinks, and some snacks, and when the guy rang us up, he didn't ask for a phone number for their rewards program or didn't ask if we found everything okay. Better yet, he barely spoke to us at all and rang us up in silence, but instead talked to his other friend. All in all, I don't think we'll be returning to this GNC, but I'll go to Vitamin Shoppe instead. read more

Inconsistent is a nice way of putting it. You can definitely tell when a manager is in the store, and when they're not. Customer service wise, and stock wise. My main reasoning for the change in my rating is there's a few things that happen often that's pretty annoying. Main one is marketing..... they'll have marketing up for a promotion that's finished and won't honor it. The only thing they'll say is...oh it was missed. They were open for 2-3 hrs already but won't honor that the marketing is up and they missed it? Pretty annoying. read more

Yelp 365 Challenge #47/365 You see it all over in advertistments on how important it is to live a healthy lifestyle and when you have determined it in yourselves to get up and get moving, you find that it is not cheap when it comes to joining up with fitness centers, boot camps, OR buying supplments from a store like GNC. As you walk in this store, first thing you see is fat burner supplements because they know that everyone is trying to lose weight (like me). Back in 2002-2003, when I actually went down to a single digit size, I was big on supplements and vitamins. I kid you not, I probably looked like a drug dealer because I had a rectangle box that was for my multi-vitamin, B-Complex, Ripped Fuel Fat Burner, and herbal supplements that were good for my hair, nails, skin, etc. I also hunted around for the best tasting protein shakes (chocolate) and made sure that I made my breakfast and lunch every week for work. Guess what...I have begun to do this again...the breakfast and lunch, that is. As for the supplements...bleh...I walked in here and some of these prices were ridiculous. For a bottle of Acidopholus (for digestive system), it was $31.99!!! And you want to know something? Walmart has the SAME BRAND for $5.99!!! Probably GNC is good for some people but not for me. I think I'll stick with Walmart and buy a bottle of One-a-Day multi-vitamin. read more

The manager at this specific store must have some childhood issues that she takes out on people that triggers it? Apparently she must've got butt hurt that I never acknowledged her presence right away since I was listening to my headphones. She told me I had to leave and she had the right to refuse service. I wasn't being disruptive to anyone(besides there was no one else in the store), I wasn't endangering anyone, I didn't have any offensive body odor or lack of hygiene so I have no idea what I did to earn that rudeness/discrimination. I calmly and politely asked her why am I not allowed to purchase/look for items? She aggressively told me again to leave with no reason and looked like she was going to call security/911. So I just left. That night and next morning I tried to get in touch with gnc customer service multiple times and of course got hanged up on and dismissed multiple times. Aside from the expensive prices, lack of variety and quality supplements, unfriendly employees with no knowledge, i would never recommend coming here for anything. Ur better off ordering online or perhaps checkout a vitaminshopp. It's no wonder they closed down at least 4 or 5 gncs. Located inside phase I or "uptown" at Pearlridge Center is GNC. Directly across the food court next to Taco Bell and a jewelry store. The BF and I were in need of new multivitamins/supplements. I walked in and noticed they were having a sale on the "GNC Lean Shake" which I really like. The BF went off somewhere else into the store, and when I found him, an employee had asked him if he needed any help. The employee turned to greet me, and asked me the same thing. Great first impression off the bat! I told him what we were interested in, so he showed me to a new set of vitamins they got in, called the GNC women's ultra active mega pack. It has several pills which are for this, that, and the other lol. Another customer was next to me and she even interjected into our conversation to rave about the product and how well it works to give her energy etc. I was sold. I also picked up two tubs of the Lean Shake in chocolate since it was buy one get one half off. The BF inquired about vitamins/supplements as well. He showed us the equivalent to what I got, but for men. He showed us a box of something (can't remember the name)... but he also told us about another item that was very popular, that had vitamins and supplements to burn fat and build mass. That second product he mentioned was actually SOLD OUT on the island, BUT he said that if we purchased it, GNC would ship it to my house for FREE and it would arrive in a few days. Deal! My Gold Card had expired (literally TWO days before this purchase), but no biggie, I bought another one for $10 (good for a year). The Gold Card really helps because they're always having sales on a lot of their products. We ended up only spending around $160! Chris was the guy who helped us... and come to find out while he was ringing us up, he's the manager at the store! He was extremely pleasant, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. If you need to stock up on items, come to GNC at Pearlridge and see Chris. He'll definitely hook you up with what you need! read more

I come here specifically for my all natural deodorant- GNC are the only ones who carry it on the island. When I first came to pick it up they were super helpful and helped me locate it. So today I was just in and out, which was fine. One of the 2 employees where helping other customers and I got rang up quickly and was on my way. I wish I could give it 0 stars but I guess the one star could be for it's convenience in the mall. Other than that, you should avoid this place. Only a handful have actually been helpful and friendly. Most workers aren't helpful and are extremely rude. They only push you to buy the products that give them commission. If you ask for an alternative product they have a blank stare on their faces. You'll get better customer service and prices at Vitamin Shoppe across the street. read more

My BF and I always receive great, friendly service here! We're always acknowledged and asked if we need any help - but they are never pushy about selling us anything we show any interest in. I really like that whenever we do buy anything, we get free samples of really good stuff! And not just one or two different things for us to share - we both get some samples, which always come in really handy to take to work! Whenever we're at Pearlridge, we always stop by GNC - it feels like we go there more than the Ala Moana one...and we live in town! read more

I'm 2 for 2 with this store. The first time I went in, I was sold a product that was expiring in a few days and had to come back to return it. The second time I went in a few days ago, I bought their fancy new shaker cup, only to find that there was a crack going up the side so it was unusable unless you want your bag wet. Definitely not worth the few extra dollars. Of course I threw away the receipt after washing it because what could possibly be wrong with a cup? Unacceptable. Keep your receipts! So I never really write bad reviews. I usually just write post about a bad experience on Facebook or tell people. Anyways I was asked if I wanted to sign for the VIP membership because there was a drawing which the name will be pulled out tomorrow evening. I was told if I were to get picked, I would have a day to call to redeem or else they would pull another name. Next day, I get a voicemail at 1:38 saying that I was picked and I have to call within 30 mins. I was at work so of course I can't call them back. I called to see if they really did pull out another name and they said that they did and the prize was picked up already. The person that helped me also mentioned that the drawing was going on for days while I thought it never happened. He did apologize but I'm seriously like wth, at least tell me the correct time for the drawing and the amount of time to respond back to the call. I usually go to the Ala Moana location but this one is just as good. This is where I seldom get all of my nutritional supplements other than at the gym (24 hour fitness). Nutritional stores and places like this are good because they have more selections to choose from and if you want something specific for your fitness or active lifestyle kind of goals then this is the place where to find them. They have everything from protein shakes, smoothies, bars, supplements, shakers, some active wear, and other things revolving around active lifestyle and fitness. The prices are decent and you can save more if you join as a member of their gold card program which is totally worth it if you buy from here on a regular basis. The store is conveniently located at the uptown side of Pearlridge Shopping Center right across from the food court and is right next to Pizza Hut/Taco bell not too far and a couple of feet away from the ground level entrance. The customer service is good and they are knowledgeable about all of the products that they have at the store. read more

Of all the GNC's I've ever been to, this has to be my favorite one! Right when I walk in, I always get greeted by someone working, even if they're helping someone else, so that's always nice. I already know what I'm going to get so I go straight to the area but a worker always asks me if I need any help. Most times I don't really need any help but when I do they're there for me. All the times I've asked questions, the workers seemed really knowledgeable about the products and would take the time to ask about me - like what I'm aiming to do (lose weight, gain muscle, etc.) and what my regime is like right now. Going off of my answers they refer me to a certain product or just give me advice on what can help me. I promise, I never really felt like they were just looking for a sale or referring me to the most expensive product. They always actually tell me about deals to help me save a couple dollars and anyone can appreciate that. Almost every product I've ever been referred to has actually worked for me, the same thing goes for my boyfriend. Right now the Raspberry Ketones and CLA are doing it for me. I also usually go there for my protein, sometimes I get it at 24 Hour Fitness when there's a sale though. The gold card def helps. The three main people that I always go to in that store I can say I trust because I also see them at the gym and two of them are actually coaches for the people that compete in the body competitions. One of the girl workers that competes in there always tells me about certain workouts to help me with certain parts of my body and I never turn down fitness advice from a chick with a bad ass bod! She also gave me a compliment so she gets an A in my book. Overall, the workers are trustworthy, polite, super helpful, and the products only work if you put in work too. Some times the re-org the floor and I can't find my vitamins but a few of the staff recognize me right away and point me in the right direction. A girl can get use to this kind of service. And the Gold Card deals are great. Even if you only buy vitamins a couple times a year like I do I still make out with their buy one get one 50% deals. Of all the GNC stores, this one has to be my favorite. The employees are not pushy at all and always provide the most helpful service. They always have answers to any questions I have, even when it comes down to just deciding between flavors of a product! The friendly staff, quality products, and gold card member deals always keep me coming back for more! GOTTA GET THEM GAINZ!!!! If you're ever in Pearlridge mall, I definitely recommend stopping by to see what deals they are having. How does this location have 4 stars? I've gone twice and both times I had to return what I bought. GNC Mililani even told me that they get so many returns from the Pearlridge location. First off, the sales associates didn't even acknowledge my existence as I walked around the store. I know I'm tiny but who do I have to bench press to get some service around here? Then, when I finally asked for help looking for a good cleanser, the sales woman suggested their GNC 7-day Complete Body Cleanse Kit. She said she was on it and highly recommended it, so I thought I'd give it a shot. My friend suggested I do some research before taking it because she didn't look very fit herself. I thought he was being a bully but after doing some research I discovered it has a whopping 2.7/5 stars as its highest rating on Google. Needless to say, I returned it to GNC Mililani. I wish this location would stop pushing store brand products on customers when 200+ reviews say to try something else. I am boycotting this location and will go to GNC Mililani for all my future health needs. read more

Went in to buy Quest protein Chips, price said 17.99$ for the whole box of 8, or 2.69$ each. So I wanted to go with the whole box, but they only had 6x left of my favorite flavor (and the guy was quick to tell me there's nothing left in the back) so I put 2x of another flavor in it to make it 8. Was never a Problem before, but now the fucka told me he can't charge me 17.99$ for the whole box since I mixed different flavors (a duuuh that was not my original choice- they were out) so he charged me 2.69$ each- was a total of 21.52$. This store lacks customer service and their prices are outrageous. I had a gift card that I wanted to use so I went in looking for a particular vitamin supplement. I was greeted promptly by one of the sales associates but I guess I either asked too many questions, took too long to decide, or showed my surprise at the price because he quickly walked away. I finally decided what I wanted to get and went to the register where another sales associate stood. This guy didn't acknowledge me and didn't thank me once the transaction was completed.
