I've been coming here years to stock up on protein powder and all the other health supplements . They've got a great variety, prices don't make you cry, and the staff is always helpful and friendly. Their rewards program is really good. You get 125 points = $5 off, and the points never expire--. You can redeem in-store, online, or through the app. They've also got Bronze, Silver, and Gold tiers depending on how much you spend . And if you set up auto-delivery, you get another 10% off. Pro tip: they do $1 energy drink sales pretty often--limit 6 per customer. Sign up for their text alerts and they'll give you the heads-up on all up coming sales. That's when you go full squirrel mode and stock up. Trust me, it will save you a ton of $$. Overall, solid place. Good deals, friendly people, and enough protein options to make your blender cry. Cheers! read more

Everything is way over priced. I priced 2 supplements. Then checked at Down to Earth market. The vitamin shoppe was $5 plus MORE than the Down to Earth prices. And Down to Earth has a much larger selection. In addition to being over priced , the staff are awful. Most of the staff are unkind and impatient if you have a question. Perhaps the other locations have staff who are engaging and helpful. read more

I couldn't believe my ears today. All 4 workers were hanging around the cash registers at Ala Moana Vitamin Shoppe and l actually asked where all the customers were. I trying to figure it out after I started doing my purchase I gave them my new number took about 10 minutes for me to keep repeating my number and my new number then I mentioned maybe I should have just left my number the same at the store, it seems like it took kind of a long time and then number 855 the new local young lady said "maybe I'm hanging around the wrong group". It's right then I look back and I say to myself I should have just left the store but instead I tried to purchase four items for $121 and my purchase wasn't going through and I was going over and over with my PIN. Can you guys address this? There was no one in the store except for a security guard but after he left everybody started coming around the cash register. I thought, my two years of coming here I don't wonder why the customers aren't around with all this bullying I'm receiving. read more

Deals! Online Deals! Everyone loves a good deal to save some of your hard earned money. Well if you take vitamins daily or workout supplements this is a great place with a nice variety of choices. Being a GNC person for years I was skeptical about this store got a long time. I signed up for their emails which I would receive weekly and finally started to compare products and prices. My first purchase from this store was a ISO100 Protein Powder for post workouts, it was the cheapest I ever saw for this particular supplement. That what made me really take a good look at The Vitamin Shoppe's other products. The kicker was that while looking Online I saw that they had a sale, buy one and get 50% if the 2nd one. That's not the end of the deal, I could apply an additional discount code to take more off the purchase which made my purchase unbelievably cheap! You can only do this ONLINE as the store will not honor the a discount code if it's on sale. Also you can have it shipped or pick up your order at the store, they will send you an confirmation email and an additional email with your order ready for pick up. A ID is required for in store pick up. I love how clean, organized and the large variety of products they offer. Also the well labeled shelves to make searching for items easy. The staff I encountered was very helpful and knowledgeable. Like any business this might not apply to every visit, everyone might not have the same experience, hopefully not. What I like is that you can take a questionnaire online to see what you're lacking in your daily supplement needs, easy peezy. The Vitamin Shoppe does have a award system for points per dollar spent. Will I change over from that three letter place to here? Just maybe I will, with the ease of Online browsing with no pressure and additional discounts that can be applied, Yups that just might make me change stores. read more

I came by this afternoon to pick up an order that I had placed online. Currently there is a promotion on selective items of 20% off online but it could also be shipped or picked up in a store near you. It didn't take long for my order to be ready and so I did the method of curbside pick up in which calling them was so convenient so that they could bring the items that I have purchased toward my car. And if you are ordering and picking up an item do the curbside method, they encourage you to pull over where the trolley is usually parked which is between Starbucks and AT&T and voila! Your order is complete. I just love the convenience of curbside pick up that way it saves me time to run other errands. I kind a wish I had looked in the vitamin shop but of course that will be next time. The person who I spoke to on the phone with this morning was very friendly and very knowledgeable about my order and making sure that they prepare it as soon as possible so that I could pick it up right away. Word of advice, if you are picking up any supplements I will definitely order it online and pick up in store or ship at your house, whatever your preference is...But pick up is best if you don't want to wait for the item 3 to 5 business days to ship + you will only qualify for free shipping on orders over $50. But essentially, looking online first and receiving that 20% off, I had to take advantage of course(: read more

#ThankYouThursday The destination is important, but so is the journey to get there - and that is something the team at The Vitamin Shoppe seems to understand! The products I purchase are helpful: - Charlie's Soap: gentle, non-toxic, hypoallergenic, great for anyone with skin sensitivity and for my baby's clothing. - Aurora Liposomal Vitamin C: hits the spot for faster absorption and seems to help me lessen the time I am sick when I do get sick. ...but the journey to get there each time was great each time, which makes it all worthwhile: - Prompt, friendly greeting each time one enters the store. - Courteous and helpful assistance when asking about and looking for products. - Unexpected but helpful moments each time: tips for faster delivery, lower pricing, availability at other locations, etc. - even happily entertaining my baby each time! - Ease of parking at the Ala Moana Center. Mahalo Nui Loa then on this #ThankYouThursday to the team at The Vitamin Shoppe for good products, good prices, and more importantly, the good service - thank you for setting the bar high for other retailers! read more

The products i go there to get are always out of stock and they take forever to restock their shelves. But that's not why thus specific store gets only 1 star. I can currently count on 2 fingers the decent/helpful/pleasant employees they have. Besides that, the rest of the employees don't no sh*t about sh*t, aggressively rude/obnoxious/annoying, sassy/grouchy, dense, or all the above. I actually decided to take time and effort outta my busy life to bring this up to attention because today I literally did the 180. I walked within 20 ft of the store and did the 180 because I'm so turned off by my experiences everytime I go to that store. I see a certain employee(s) I cringe. Just thinking about him/her/them makes me roll my eyes/gag/etc. And from wat I was told who the "boss" is was the one who tried to get the only decent employee at the time fired. I really dislike this store, going in it, and especially having to even come in contact with these people to the point I just endup going the other side of the mall to gnc or just f it. No need get those supplements. Besides the location in the dark gloomy smoke infested area, the major turn off is the employees. Specifically 4 atm, at da top of my head, MAJOR customer REPELLANTS. The biggest douchebag of all ironically is the smallest(u figure it out if u go). I will change/update this IF and/or when they do the same. read more

Online shopping is too convenient, especially during those lockdowns we experienced last spring and late summer of 2020. This time I felt like going in person, it's nice to interact with people instead of online shopping lol. Vitamin shoppe use to be located on Kapiolani Blvd downstairs of Nordstrom, that use to be easier to get to, expecially because it was a block away from 24 Hour Fitness. But they've relocated in the Ala Moana Center which is still convenient, but the ease of parking is a bit challenging now that it's street level next to so many other stores, regardless, I continue to be a loyal customer over thier competitors. I've ran out of preworkout and luckily today was the last day to use thier 25% off coupon. Found what I needed and by surprise the sales associate who I've never seen before, she asked me a few more questions than the other regular staff, talk about going the extra mile. For example, would I like to use my rewards today or stack them on future visit, had she not asked me today, I wouldn't have known I had a reward to use! 4.5 stars Vitamin Shoppe has been my GO-TO place for protein bars, protein powders, select vitamins, and all-natural toiletry items for several years now! And I most recently discovered how AWESOME THEIR PRICES ARE for a lot of items I always have on hand!! Wow I was very favorably shocked when I actually took a closer look and compared today!! In my line of work of high-stress and exposure to a high concentration of microorganisms and infectious substances.. It is critical for me to take care of myself to maintain the highest level of health & immunity as not to succumb to getting sick which is frequent among my work demographic.. One product which is my LIFELINE immunity boosting wonder is Bio Align's WELLNESS FORMULA Herbal Defense Complex tablets. They contain 20+ ALL NATURAL HERBS which naturally boost your immune system -- absolutely excellent in providing extra protection against getting sick especially if you are under high-stress periods or periods where you are lacking in optimal sleep.. I am fortunate to say I haven't gotten sick (even being in direct contact with those ailing) for over 4 years straight and I attribute it all to these literal WONDER PILLS!! That and also Faith & Prayers :)) Anyway, the most AWESOME thing I just discovered today at Vitamin Shoppe is that prices for this product is SUBSTANTIALLY CHEAPER than Whole Foods & Down to Earth! Which is where I have been buying them for the past several years!! Ok, a bottle of 90 tablets at Whole Foods is $28.99. The very same bottle at VS is $17.59!!!!!! WOWZERS!!!! How awesome is that?! $11 savings!!!! =D I was so excited about this today and was like now I have an extra 11 bucks to buy my other fav treats here!! My other FAV TREATS here are their large assortment of protein bars. At my job, I can sometimes go for a good 8 or 9 hrs without having a real lunch break, so having covinient healthy protein packed snacks I can just eat or drink in a few min is essential to staying healthfully energized. Yes our sweet patients and their families bless us with treats daily -- but surviving on donuts, pastries, & manapua several times a week isn't the greatest diet for staying healthy. I just LOVE THE ASSORTMENT OF PROTEIN BARS & PROTEIN POWDERS HERE!! And for all the cool brands, they have literally ALL THE FLAVORS offered by the company. My old favorite was QUEST BARS -- Strawberry Cheesecake & Iced Lemon. My new found FAV is ONE bars -- Birthday Cake, Maple Glazed Donut, Blueberry Cobbler are my fav flavors. A long-standing fav is POWER CRUNCH BARS -- favs are Peanut Butter, Mint Chocolate, and Mixed Berry. Vitamin Shoppe HAS THE BEST & BIGGEST SELECTION OF FLAVORS for all the aforementioned bars!! These are perfect for quick sustained energy on the go!! =) The only place I know of on Oahu who carries my FAV dairy based protein powder -- DESIGNER WHEY -- ALL NATURAL smooth easily to drink and excellent for blending into homemade fruit smoothies. They also have many of the plant-based brands WFs & DTE carries but for CHEAPER!!! Like Garden of Life and Sun Warrior. Also THE CHEAPEST PRICES I'VE FOUND ON OAHU are my fav brand of all-natural herbal mouthwashes & toothpastes -- DESSERT ESSENCE!! BIGGEST ASSORTMENT OF FLAVORS AS WELL!!! =) 5 stars for their prices and selection of certain products!! Made it a 4.5 rating just because unlike the other competitors mentioned, their products are not all all-natural. You will still find products with artificial sweeteners and such, but alas you can't avoid it all! So glad I discovered one of my most frequently bought health items is an $11 per bottle savings here!! It's like getting a mouthwash & a toothpaste for free!! =) Awesomeness Vitamin Shoppe!! read more

This place gets 4 stars for being bold enough to go into a location that fronts a major street, but has no significant foot traffic. I hope they generate tons of business, because the convenience factor for ME is HUGE! When I was treating people to quit smoking, my office was right across the street from Shokudo in the big dental office on the ground floor. After an hour of intense laser treatments and coaching, I would walk them right across the street to buy their vitamin regimen. Now I visit the place at least once a month to grab my monthly protein, amino, fish oils, and glucosamine stash. I have also recently been turned on to a pre-workout supplement that gives me intense focus and energy. PM me if you want info. The service is always generally good there. The staff is really knowledgable about the different sports supplements and vitamins. You can park upstairs in the Nordstrom parking lot and walk your "healthy-booty body" right on in to get a dose of the good stuff." (Ask me later) Check out Dylan when you go in...The guys is a monster and knows his stuff....If only I could curl 80lb dumbbells...One day....Until then I'll stick to the silver weights.... This post is to specifically praise Korley! Super sweet and patient worker at Vitamin Shoppe Ala Moana. I can tell that she loves her job and cares about the customers that walk in. It could be mistaken for a convenient store if not for the name. They had cold drinks towards the front and it was tempting to go over and retrieve one. Charles first looked at the pills. Then looked at the powder. It took him a while, comparing prices and ounces. I guess there was more variety for him to choose from. There was a certain one that he wanted but there wasn't much he could choose from for a different one. He eventually got the cake mix flavored one. Ha-ha. I am curious to try. read more

My favorite supplement store. The staff is very knowledgeable of their products (as they should be) they are very helpful too. I come here when I need reloading. Lots of different products available from your vitamins, to essential oils, kambucha bar, drinks, protein powders, refridgerated drinks and everything you need. Staff was helpful and asked if I needed help and the item I needed was on sale. Only gripe was that if you ask if I have a point card and I say no, shouldn't I be asked if I want one? I placed an online order, couldn't pick the item up in time but called the store to see if they could put it on hold for a few extra days. The worker said they would, no problem. I went to pick up the item(s) 2 days later and the employee flat out said "whoever you spoke to, lied." My items were put back, they said 'no' to the price I got online through their own site (and the item was way more expensive to purchase in store.) It was a very annoying situation. The only reason I decided to pick up in store and didn't opt for free shipping is I wanted to buy other items. Decided not to, online next time read more

Vitamin shoppe is one of my favorite places to shop for sports supplements and general health supplements. I'm a little biased, I actually worked at this store about 7 years ago before moving on to my current career. I still shop at this store even tho they have entirely different workers from when I worked there and I have no connection. They have a vast selection of different supplements/brands and their prices are lower from what I've seen at gnc or other stores. My favorite thing about going into the vitamin shoppe is their approach to customer service. The workers generally greet you upon entering the store and leave it at that. They don't follow or hover around you while your browsing or use pressure tactics to sell certain supplements. If you ask them or look confused they are more than happy to help you find what you are looking for. They have a free card membership that gives you kickbacks at the end of the year based on how much points you accumulated through the prior year. I actually had over a $100 coupon which I used to buy more supplements. Great store and great place to get high quality supplements. read more

On a whim, I came here in hopes of finding a bottle of organic unrefined coconut oil. I knew little of this store, and never seemed to notice it.... it's right outside the mall, and next to a bunch of restaurants I've been to. I wanted to give oil pulling a try, after hearing about it through some friends. They told me that Whole Foods should carry the oil I needed, but that was so very inconvenient for me. I am not going all the way to Kahala Mall for this special item. Prior to the Vitamin Shoppe, I had visited Vim N Vigor, which is another health and supplement store in Ala Moana. I had found coconut oil in there, but the price was a little high for me, due to the larger size of the bottle.. which I didn't really intend on getting. I was looking for a smaller bottle and a specific brand as well.... so I left Vim N Vigor empty handed. Somewhat disappointed and exhausted, I came here and was helped immediately. Whoever assisted me was very knowledgeable of the products. I managed to find the EXACT brand and size of organic unrefined coconut oil I wanted. I was so excited to go home and try it out that at the mention of signing up for a membership card, I declined, thinking that the process would take too long haha. I'll get one the next time I come back, cause I'm pretty sure I will once I've used up the bottle of coconut oil. I didn't really get the chance to browse around in detail, but this store was filled with a variety of health products. Can't wait to come back in and really take a look at everything they have to offer. read more

I really like this location at Ala Moana. The sales associates are really helpful and knowledgeable and have turned me on to two great products that have now become daily supplements in our household. The first is a great kids' multivitamin called Greens Today that is made of whole foods and packs some major superfoods into one little chewable tablet. The associates here also helped me to find a great calcium supplement for myself, called Adora (in MILK chocolate). I hate taking calcium horse pills or chewing that awful tasting viactive, but this calcium chocolate disc is the solution to awful calcium supplements. I swear it is almost as good as a Dove chocolate! Overall, friendly and knowledgable service, great products and an affordable price. As The King of Vita, I felt the need to write a post. Pros: Good selection of merchandise right next to Ala Moana. Stafff is typically friendly and will remember your name if you spend too much here. It's a bad thing really... Cons: Sales for prime products are far and few. The store doesn't open until 9:30, so you early folks are out of luck. Post work out stop? Spend too much and they start sending you certificates you can redeem at the end of the year. Overall a great place with good service and products. read more

I love the Vitamin Shoppe because their prices aren't that much of a mark-up from Amazon. The staff is patient and knowledgeable which is great! The reason I'm taking off 2 stars is because they're not always stocked with the whole variety (be it flavors, or doses, etc.) I was looking for a specific diuretic that they didn't have, and I was looking for a specific size of protein powder which they didn't have. Yelp 365: 038/365 Where do you go to get your daily vitamins among other supplements for a great price?? The Vitamin Shoppe!! I have always passed this place by, but went inside once because I was curious and I have never gone any place else! They have the best prices on vitamins and supplements that I have ever seen! They have all kinds of brands and lots of different specials. This place is huge, and full of everything!! The service here is spectacular. The staff know their stuff, and they do not try to oversell or try suggestive selling like this other place I used to go near Pearl Harbor. Don't bother placing an online order with store pick-up. I placed one for pick-up at their new Ala Moana Shopping Center location and while the order was confirmed online, I didn't receive a store pick up confirmation . I called online customer service and despite having my credit card charged and the email, they said they had no record and to call the store. THIS IS MY SHOPPE. The Vitamin Shoppe is so good to its loyal customers, and I think that its much more service and health focused than its competitor, GNC. GNC overwhelms you right when you walk in with their commission driven sales staff, while the Vitamin Shoppe is always just politely waiting to answer your questions. I go here almost every week. They have great promotions, good TwoFer deals, and the staff all seem to love their jobs. Once I walked in and everyone (the staff) was doing calisthenics in a circle. Like morning stretches. Have you ever seen a retail store where they did team exercises together? It was adorable and they invited me to join in. They are also very non-judgey. Sometimes, when asking about health products or supplements, it can get a little awkward. The Vitamin Shoppe seems to encourage the sales team to be neutral and factual about all of their products, without trying to overly influence your purchase. They also keep their juices, waters, and sports drinks COLD which is great when you are on your way to the gym. No one else does that! I love Vitamin Shoppe. read more

I go to this VS because it's convenient. My first choice would be the one in Aiea. I've been here several times to buy specific items. My review is based on my store experience, not the items or the availability, because VS has a lot to choose from. Each time I've been there, the same person helps me, if I can't find what I'm looking for. I give him 5 stars. He's the only one that has been there for a long time. I was there 2 weeks ago, in a rush with my sunglasses on. And out rushed a female worker from the back somewhere, yelling "Hello...!" I didn't know who she was talking to but she quickly found where I was and stood at the aisle as I was walking, "Can I help you find something?" I was taken aback and to be honest, the first thing that popped in my head was: I bet she thinks I'm a shop lifter! Geez, really? And to test my now self-made social profiling shopping experience, I was observing how she glanced over at me while speaking with another employee. Fine. Whatever. I'm not there for you anyway. So I walked out. Didn't buy anything. Most recently, I was there and the same helpful employee directed me where to find what I was looking for. I brought my items to the counter to purchase and there were 3 employees chatting away. The only female employee was busy flirting with her 2 male coworkers, so she didn't bother to greet or acknowledge me. OK. Next. I had a discount that was received via email so I pulled it up on my phone. The scanner could easily reach me but this chick took my phone from my hand (you don't ever take anything from a customer unless they hand it to you. If you need to take the phone because you're an idiot and can't pick up your scanner, then you should ask first) and I had my earphones on-and stretched it so the earbuds popped off my ears. "Oh, I didn't know it was attached to your head..." What a stupid pos. It was a series of things gone bad in those hellacious few minutes but I really wanted to reach across and pull her fake eyelashes off her eyes because I think they were impeding her vision. Or maybe she was just so enthralled with her male coworkers. I don't care. She was the worst encounter I've had at a retail store in a very long time. read more
