Glory's is a Filipino bakery and restaurant that sells rolls, dessert's, lumpia, pancit, pizza bread , and more. The staff is friendly. There's parking out front but if you go during a busy time it can get crowded. They have a few different options for combos with rice or pancit. I got the rice combo with 6 lumpia and fried rice, and added chicken adobo. The rice was a little bland this time but the extra gravy from the chicken helped. The adobe chicken was good. You can add a piece of chicken for $1.99 ala carte. I do like getting extra veggies as well. The veggies are crunchy and fresh. I like the lumpia sauce, it's different from the usual sweet chili sauce at most places.. But I'm still not a fan of the soggy soft lumpia. There's not much flavor in my opinion. Their empanadas and manapua/meat rolls are good also. There's a few different flavors to choose from. I got a chocolate chip cookie with coconut, but it was kind of hard and didn't taste fresh. I guess it's hot or miss. The prices are pretty reasonable and I'll keep coming back for what I do enjoy there! Check them out!! read more

Great little hidden spot. I discovered it last week when I saw a ton of cars parked there while I was getting gas at 7-11. Empanadas are flaky and yummy. Great prices. Many choices of flavors of empanadas and their buns. They also have plates of pancit, lumpia, adobo, pepperoni bread. Definitely a good spot to grab a quick snack! Been back 2 times already this week! read more

Smaller spot about 20 minutes from oceanfront. We weren't sure they were open when we arrived Monday around 12 as the shutters were down and we couldn't see inside. Walked up and noticed a very light neon "Open" sign. Smaller spot with all indoor seating. The Pepperoni Bread is what brought us here but we saw many more Filipino menu items. We also decided to order a few of the Empanadas. Back to the Popp Bread-what really makes this special is the bread-slightly sweet and buttery soft. Pepperoni/cheese ratio was perfect-delicious! Empanadas were also excellent-our favorites were the spicy varieties-beef and chicken. Also, Brownie for dessert hit the spot. Saw cookies and a few fruit turnovers also. Friendly and quick service. They have a second location in Centreville. We will be back to try some of the other menu items! read more

My visit to Glory's Bakery was in search of my favorite, Ube Spanish Bread. Actually I've never met an Ube product that I didn't love. Although the Aragona Boulevard location was convenient, finding a time that met my schedule & their hours was tough. Finally on the way home from an appointment, I decided to take a route through the Aragona neighborhood to visit Glory's. Parking was convenient, located on the side of the standalone building. I anticipated entering with great eagerness. A friendly employee greeted me from behind the counter & asked if she could help. My response of Ube Bakery items was met with a disappointing answer. No Ube Bakery goods. I decided to wander the clean, well stocked store to see if anything caught my eye. It was a fairyland of Filipino foods. Alas, the bakery goods appeared to not fit my current calorie count allowance. Although I left empty handed it's not because their offerings weren't appetizing. I would recommend a visit for your favorite Filipino foods. read more

I love coming to Glory's bakery! It's a little hole in the wall spot! The food is always good, fresh, hot, & ready! Everything is always cooked perfectly every time I have been there. The customer service is very friendly and super easy to order at the register! Parking is very limited but you can find parking every time and if not it's in a neighborhood if all spots are taken that you can just park in right near it. Highly recommend and always a returning customer out of me for the fairly priced combos, especially! read more

I would attach a photo but I ate it all too fast it was so good. I ordered the 12 count beef lumpia with sauce and the pizza bread traditional with sauce on the side. They were so fast on taking the order and the food came out hot just as fast as we ordered. They have beautiful plants and it's just gently quiet enough that you feel comfortable and you can taste the love in the food. Would highly recommend. We ordered a macadamia cookie and a coconut macaron for dessert and I cannot express enough how perfect they were made. So fresh. Absolutely perfect in all ways. Highly recommend. Please stop by and check them out! :) read more

Y'all. The pepperoni bread. It's incredible. Love that we live so close to Glory's. We stopped in because we heard great things about their famous pepperoni bread and had to try it ourselves. 10/10 We also got a beef empanada which was delicious! I can't imagine any of their other offerings being less than stellar, but we will definitely visit again to try more! read more

Wonderful little shop, small town feel. The smell of the pepperoni bread hits you as you're approaching the front door. I hadn't been there before but it came highly recommended from a friend. I only ordered one pepperoni bread to go, but wish I had ordered six! Imagine a small loaf of Texas roadhouse rolls with cheese and pepperoni on the inside. Also, the young lady who took care of my order had me out the door in minutes with a big smile! Now get in your car, and go get some for yourself! read more

You know. I think yall are really missing out on this one. Not everyone out there is serving prime rib or expensive breakfast platters. Some of the best dishes are simple meals that are not heavily salted. I found this in Glory's Bakery. Tucked right behind a 7-11 on the edge of Norfolk and Virginia Beach, this little bakery has more than baked goods. There are plates of lumpia with pancit and shrimp. Or these huge yeast rolls filled with pork, chicken, etc. Of course, there are vegan options as well. But, the prices are definitely better than the rest of the 757! read more

We skipped breakfast in anticipation for getting this. We always get lots of lumpia, the noodles, the rice and the pepperoni bread! Absolutely delicious!!! 12/10 every time! read more

I have been going here since I was little. My specialties are the pizza bread or the pancit meal. The lumpia, bread/roll that they give you with the meal is good as well. Sorry I don't have any photos, but you can find them online. They also have a store where you can purchase some of the items yourself inside. It's a very convenient place and everyone is always so nice. read more

Great food always. I'm never disappointed and I love that I can buy frozen lumpia to have later. Also love the pepperoni bread.

Really cheap prices! Bought a dozen of ensemada, 1 beef empanada, 1 spicy beef empanada, and 1 siopao. I recommend the pork siopao the most! The steamed bread was soft and chewy, the meat was flavorful and well-filled! Service was really good - the cashier was really sweet. The ambiance felt like it was a local spot - you're there for delicious food and good people. Great prices. read more

I've heard about Glory's for quite some time and finally made my way in. I have a Filipino step-mother-in-law who graciously has taught me to make Adobo, Pancit, and Lumpia. I love homemade lumpia but it is definitely quite the task, so I don't make it as often as the Adobo. This week I was making Pork Adobo and wanted a little sometime else with the meal so I popped over to Glory's to grab some Lumpia. The shop was actually bigger than I had anticipated, with a handful of tables for those wishing to dine in. I placed my order for 12 cooked lumpia to go, paid, and took a seat on the couch to wait. Much to my surprise almost as soon as I sat down the order was ready! It came with 2 sides of sauce, which were a slightly spicy, smoother version of a sweet chili type sauce that often comes with lumpia/egg roll type appetizers. It was really delicious. A very good balance and not overly sweet. The lumpia had a little less meat than I was expecting, but was still very delicious. They sat for maybe an hour or so while I made the Adobo and still stayed warm and crispy, and I think the insides almost got better as they sat. (I maybe ate one or two as soon as I got home, you know... just to test them out fresh.) This was at 5pm and they did also still have a fair amount of turnover pastries and cookies, as well as quite a few breads. I'm looking forward to coming back to try some of their combos, and the famous pepperoni bread. My husband liked the lumpia so much I think he might be back as soon as this weekend while I'm traveling! read more

Glory's has never let me down. I've been a customer for years and I absolutely love this place. If you blink, you'll miss it. It's a pretty small location situated in a neighborhood in the Witchduck/Independence area. The parking lot is very tiny! The inside isn't very fancy but the food is incredible. So many treats so choose from. My favorite things to order are their lumpia and the irresistible pizza bread!! The staff is always friendly and my orders are always fresh and hot. This place is a gem and I will be repeat customer for life If you didn't read anything that I said here, just be sure you order some pizza bread. It is freakin delicious! read more

I get sick every time I go there. The lumpia is old and they have terrible service. read more

I'm literally giving Glorys 5 stars to counter a few of the negative ratings from people complaining they were refused service right before close. Guess what - it's a small business and if they want to stop cooking at 4:21pm on a random Tuesday, they have the right to do that. I've had nothing but good food from here. Service is always pretty slow, but very affordable for what you get. read more

I have been coming to Glorys for years and the quality of the foods has not decreased! Most of the food is prepared fresh which is something that I like. Depending on what time you come they will most likely be packed especially during lunch and dinner. I got here close to 3 and it was a few people but not too many. I ordered the combo #1 which includes pancit with 4 lumpia and a can drink. It's just enough for a quick bite that will fill you up. If you are in a hurry I suggest ordering ahead since most of the food is made to order which means you'll be there for a good minute. So all my inpatient folks. Call ahead! Please lol. Love coming here and will continue as long as they are in business. read more

They have the best pepperoni bread I have eaten. The bread is soft flavorful works well for a pepperoni bread. I love that they put the sauce on the side and not inside the bread. I have tried pepperoni, the sausage, a supreme and one with all veggies and the all had plenty of cheese. Picked some up for my brother and he gives a thumbs up for them also. read more

Really like the pancit combo. It's got good flavor. If this place was closer to my house I would eat here often.

The little gem hidden on the corner of witchduck rd and aragona blvd. They are a local bakery that sells baked goods, bread, cookies, wings, subs, and filipino favorites - chicken adobo and pansit. They sell one of the best pepperoni bread in the area. Its outer part is that of a sweet roll but the inside is full of cheese and pepperoni. Do be aware they do get a little busy during lunch time but then again you cant blame them because they're just so good. But don't worry, you can always call them ahead of time to order. If you're in the area you need to check them out! read more

This may be the only filipino bakery in Virginia Beach. If not, I'm unaware of another. Love that it's small, local and been in operation by same family for years. After around a dozen visits over a decade it's time to weigh in. Located around one mile off S. Independence Blvd and just off Witchduck. The building is plain, but a small sign is present. Parking directly in front and scarce. However, I have never had issue with locating a spot. The lot and walks are always clear of debris. Once you walk in the wonderful smell of bread hits you Service is straight forward, probably because most of the staff speak native filipino language. But communicating is good for ordering. My experience has been with a few products, never lunch items. Prices are excellent! All items made fresh in their bakery. Most customers order to go, but a few tables are present. Bottled drinks in cooler only. My favorite go to is the pepperoni roll. This is what most know them for They will warm it up for you upon request and provide marinara dipping sauce which is a must! I've had other bread items that have been a miss for me. Ensemada strawberry bread is an example of a miss, it just seems stale. I have returned over the years because of the pepperoni roll. A 3.5 seems more fitting, but I can't get to a 4. I would still recommend. read more

A good fresh taste of bakery success. I have been coming to this bakery for years. From lumpia, chicken adobo, pancit, soft baked breads. The restaurant is quaint on the corner of Aragona next to 7-11. The wait is pretty fair and the food is savory. I like the pastries available and the drink selection is good. You can opt to pay a quarter for a juice exchange, not much of a soda drinker here. Stop by for a great cheap lunch option. read more

My little one and I came here on a holiday and saw that they were closing early at 1pm instead of their usual 6pm. The restaurant is pretty much "what you see is what you get." No fancy decor, just some tables, chairs, a couch, soda machines, and a corridor leading up to a restroom. Their menu is pretty limited and since we weren't that hungry we just ordered an order of (6) lumpia to go. They were pretty yummy. It came with sauce. My only complaint (but not really one at all) was that there was a lot of lumpia wrapper and not enough meat. It was still delicious! I'll definitely be coming back to try some more of their menu items! read more

You pull up from the outside, you might think it's closed but it's most definitely open. This is the bigger location most definitely tasked for bigger orders. And this one has better deals. 3 pieces of chicken adobo with rice is $6.99. Pepperoni bread with Italian sausage with $5.24. Everything made from scratch and fresh. It taste amazing. read more

I ordered the pepperoni combo which comes with pepperoni bread and lumpia. You have the option to choose lumpia or fries. The pepperoni bread was good, but there was too much cheese in it and was only on one side. It would have been perfect with less cheese and it be equally spread out through the bread. The service was pretty quick and easy. I probably waited less than 5 minutes for my food to be ready. read more

It has been many years since I have been to this place but it is no surprise that it is still in business serving up one of my favorite items. That is the PIZZA BREAD. I know some of you are reading this thinking wait this a place to get Filipino food. Well it is and trust me you can get lumpia, pancit, adobo, but not too sure if they sell sigsig. What I remember is the pizza bread that we would make a run for at work. This may be blasphemy but to those who have eaten here but imagine the pizza bread like a hot pocket. Hold on.... Stick with me. The bread is actually a bit sweet and the cheese is mixed with pepperoni. At this point you can decide if you want to fill it with other ingredients such as Italian sausage, peppers or meatballs. If you are not eating this at work go ahead and have them put the marinara dipping sauce that comes with the bread placed in the bread. It can get a bit messy which is why I suggest maybe not eating at work. I know many of you know how to eat but I have seen some of you at Yelp events and yeah.......... Anyway the pancit and lumpia is ok but I have had better. Not horrible but not something that will pop first in your mind to go get if you were hungry. It is all about perception in where you may have sampled Filipino before. I will say that for the money you get a pretty good amount of food that will fill you up so have the kama (bed in Tagalog) nearby to take a little nap. read more

They've recently updated to a "new" menu... basically the same one as the centerville location. It's not posted up anywhere and they weren't too keen on making the menu changes clear. I went to order one of my regular combos and was told that there was a new menu but there was no explanation or follow up so I went over what I would normally order in detail. The lady on the other line said okay repeated what I ordered and I was on my way. I get there, had to wait about 5-10 minutes for my order (not a big deal) I went to double check my order and noticed the "new" menu for myself.. my chicken adobo and pancit combo had double chicken (of what the previous combo would be) and no lumpia :-/ thankfully I'd ordered a side of lumpia because I was feeling a little greedy but had I not....ngl I would've been annoyed to find that they axed the 3-4 lumpia that used to come with it. Grab a copy of the "new" menu or the one I posted here before you place an order to avoid any trick ups lol. read more
