Glory Days is definitely my go to restaurant for a relaxing, friendly good time. I always opt to sit in the bar area. I enjoy watching football on Sundays. Burger was decent but the service and staff were absolutely horrible. It I was on fire they wouldn't throw a glass of water on me unless I did a touchdown dance to get someone's attention. The staff at the bar just leaned against the beer taps and talked about whatever nonsense of the day was currently happening. I wanted to update my review. I was the crazy lady looking for my lost Fanny pack. After much chasing I went into glory days and asked the front hostesses and was met with another quick no that I pushed a little further by pointing to the booth I sat in which the young gentleman did take the time to check for me coming up empty handed. That led us back to the hiking trail we went on of a solid couple miles in the dark to be met by a police officer who'd also walked the trail and said he saw nothing. So, at this point we'd given up and just wanted to go home. I was ranting about my simple no's I'd been given at Glory Days to my partner and I had planned to call again the next day to see if any communication made it pop up there but he decided to call and ask for a manager this time. (Probably wondering why I am at a 5 star because none of this sounds too positive so far), well the manager comes on and puts us on a brief hold and it magically appears within barely a minute. Honestly at this point I was furious, a couple hours of retracing steps, pulling my partner away from the car dealership when he trying to get a new vehicle on the few days of leave he has before he starts his new military job, earlier realizing that something My children made me on the last time I'd seen them in person prior to this trip was probably gone, trying to remember the last place I had it and just all around dealing with the anxiety of it all, I was just angry because it could have been avoided by that first phone call if the person had just simply checked. My partner said he'd go grab it and I can stay home, I didn't want to, I wanted to talk to the manager because it all was just uncalled for. She kindly listened (and so did like 9 other people interested in the crazy lady who'd lost her Fanny pack) as I ranted about the day we'd had that could have helped 2 strangers avoid by the first phone call. I appreciated her taking the time to listen and she even offered us dinner. We declined and just wanted to go home honestly. We weren't looking for something free, just an ear to listen on what could have been prevented. This trip all around had been frustrating and it was a cherry on top type of incident. I'd spent the 2 days prior to this on my phone trying to find someone who could save my dogs in Seattle because a blizzard hit and the people that was supposed to check on them throughout the day got snowed in. So my dogs went almost a whole day without access to food, water or the ability to potty just to spent the next day after they were saved to try to find boarding for them so that it wouldn't happen again in the snow just to find out every single place is booked. Then today was supposed to be our first day of mentally relaxing and well, you know how that went by now if you have reached this point. I could barely muscle though the 2 that I ate, and stopped picking at the others like one picks though a crawfish claw due to the risk of drawing blood from the chicken meat splinters that where put upon my plate in place of actual chicken wings. Just arrived to Maryland today for a mini trip and it was my first time trying this restaurant . This was one of the only few places that is open late in the area which was great. The service here was not the best. On the website and on the promotional advertisement right outside restaurant stated that appetizers after 9pm is only $6.99. Our server told us that that promotion is no longer available even though all the advertisements was still up. My friends entree came with a salad and at the end, we were charged for it. We were informed at the end of the meal that only the steak entree comes with a free salad even though on the website it said we can substitute the salad with no extra cost. Once seated we were given silverware rolled up in a cloth napkin. My daughter unrolled hers to use the napkin and a dirty band aid was in with the fork and knife! I asked to talk to the manager, because that's just nasty. I reassured the startled waitress that she was lovely it was only the band aid. A man then came out from the kitchen, with an apron on. Glory Days Grill is the newest place to open up in the center on west nursery road. It's the only one that isn't fast food in the center. I've been to the one in Ellicott City once before coming here so I had a good idea of what it was going to be like. It's probably most comparable to Buffalo Wild Wings in my opinion. There have multiple tv's all around the restaurant with each playing something different. After you are seated, you'll see something that looks a speaker which actually plays whatever's on the tv's. And you can change TVs on the speaker. Pretty cool. Now on to the food!! The wings here are pretty good. They taste fresh and are pretty crispy on the outside. They also have a decent variety of flavors. I also ordered their buffalo chicken dip which was delicious. Probably could use a little more buffalo flavor but it was still good. We were staying at a hotel across the street because of an early morning flight.. and well we were hungry. I had never heard about Glory Days, but my girlfriend had and so we went. They had an okay draft beer menu. I expected to see more local craft beer on the list. We ordered our drinks and entrees. The food was okay, not 'Tom Cruise jump on the couch' good... but it worked for us. The service lacked a bit.. and one of my restaurant pet peeves reared it's ugly head: when a server doesn't ask if you want another beer.. or more to drink in general. That would increase the overall bill, therefore probably increase the tip. But, that's your loss. The check was dropped off and away she went. My partnered made his own pasta dish and enjoyed it......I got the short rib grilled cheese with no onions and it arrived full of onions. I waited 15 more mins while my partner ate..... Drinks were okay but def overpriced......combined with the food errors, we will NOT be back to this location. I really was looking forward to eating here... now I wish I'd grabbed my food from the airport! My burger was dry, overcooked ( requested pink) with a soggy bun and the fries were Luke warm at best! Two bites and I was done... food should not be punishment So they messed up the burger but I have crab dip... The crab dip was super oily and although it looks chunky- its not! Oily cheese, mixed with flake crab with shells and I do mean shells. I lost half my bowl trying to drain it off and pick out hard pieces! The staff is courteous and attentive, the recommendations are on point, and the food is solid American comfort food. If you ever find yourself near BWI you would do yourself a disservice to go anywhere else. If you're in the area and looking for an easy hang spot for some bar food it's a good spot. Not too loud on our visit on a Tuesday night. Korean flavored wings were tasty but clearly not fresh. The mozzarella sticks were gooey and had nice crunch on outside. Dipping sauce was a jar-based disappointment. Had a burger as they said it was best seller and "famous." It was fine.
