I expected it to be overcast! Street parking right in front of the cozy shop was easy. Inside, Overcast Coffee was warm and welcoming with comfy furniture, dim lighting, live plants, hipster/jazzy music, and a convenient restroom. Service was knowledgeable and efficient. I asked for sweetener on the side because I was warned that the matcha might be bitter since it's authentic... imported from Uji, Japan! The Matcha Latte with soy milk was perfect! The beautiful Latte art was a bonus! I understand that it's challenging to design something with soy milk, but this flower pattern was done so proficiently! Wow! This is a cool spot to hangout, do some laptop work, catch up on emails and Yelp reviews, or warm up from the Overcast weather outside! Note: I didn't need sweetener! The interior is very spacious with high ceilings and gorgeous traditional latin decor. The staff were also very kind and friendly adding to the cozy and comfortable atmosphere. I got their pomegranate foam matcha and it was so good. The pomegranate foam had a very subtle sweetness and the matcha tasted fresh and high quality. The space is very well kept and clean and the tall windows gave a lot of natural light making the space feel that much more comfortable. The surrounding apartments are very lucky to have a spot like this as if I lived there, I'd probably be coming every day to try every single one of their drinks.
