I sent 14 power supplies to Global Electronic Services for repair, but only 2 were successfully fixed. The process started in January, and by late July, all of the units had been returned to me. There were a couple of billing issues: I was initially charged for a power supply that wasn't repaired, which was eventually corrected. Then, about a month later, I was billed again for another unrepaired unit, and that issue was also sorted out. Global does not offer refunds for unrepaired items under warranty, but they will credit the amount toward future repairs. If you decide to use their services, I would recommend using the customer portal to track the progress of your repairs. On the positive side, their customer service team is friendly and responsive. read more

I'd give ZERO stars if I could. 5 weeks and $750 to only be told they cannot repair a module they profusely assured me they could when speaking with them on the phone. They were informed of the ONLY bad output (with a verified good input) of the module and that's the circuit needing repaired. 20-something replaced "components" later and after much load/operative "testing" (supposedly) they send the module back. With the same exact problem. Return the module to GES. Get an update about more troubleshooting and replaced "components" and awaiting the arrival of some scarce SCRs (uh huh). Two weeks after that we're told "unrepairable" and that zero spares available ANYWHERE... Google says differently. And now that the module has been deemed "unrepairable", GES desires to keep it by default. I have to call them and tell them I want my property back. I've 90 days to do so after their hanky, cheesy email of "We're Sorry", ala South Park style. I actually question how they make any money being in the business of just shipping broken items back and forth between them and customers after sitting on it for a while and claiming to have effected repairs. No. I do know how. $500 repair bill. Got back in 1 week. 2-3 day shipping over a weekend. Sent back to them on their dime, 2-3 day again. Now, second send from them on 5-7 day slow boat. Profit for doing absolutely nothing but seemingly keeping something on a shelf for a time, maybe poking at it with a test lead or small screwdriver. And if things fall right with lack of response on my end, they even get to keep the "unrepairable" module. Do that several thousand times a month and that's a nice profit. For informational purposes, I'm an old 2M/MTR electronics tech (ET2) from the U.S. Navy. Had I test equipment beyond a DVM on hand I would have repaired the module myself to the component level instead of trusting this company. I will be tearing this module down upon receipt to see exactly what they did and didn't do to it. Ought to be interesting and enlightening, considering they refuse to provide detailed repair reports about either go they had at the module. Exact verbiage: "The unit was tested with a sequence of signals and appropriate power supplied. Responses were monitored at specific points to ensure functionality was correct." Obviously a lot of fancy words saying they did jack squat with the actual INPUTS and OUTPUTS, but supposedly tested everything in between them. The rest of the "testing report" is just as vague and fanciful written with empty words implying a whole lot of actual nothing done. Steer clear of this company. Update 8/22/2024 Module returned to me. Cover broken at all 4 mounting points. Held onto the module by their lame "Warranty Void If Broken" sticker. Have to fix something first to warranty it, guys. Absolutely zero evidence of them doing anything aside from breaking the cover. Module still dirty, full of dust bunnies. Zero new solder evident anywhere, which would be expected on replaced components and a plug. The "power supply" components they claim to have replaced are hard-sinked to the module. No deconstruction of the heatsink at all to get to the components. All in all, they did ZERO to this module. They can produce no test reports, no listing of replaced components, nor advise of what tests they ran and the module failed. The last response was along the lines of "we'll have to ask the techs that actually worked on the module what components they replaced". Apparently keeping an active tracking file on a module is just too hard. Each time I've written the "account manager" one of his lackeys does the reply. So far 3 different people have replied in his place. Tacky and unprofessional. Phone calls get stuck on endless hold-hell, and therefore go nowhere. I'm too busy to stay on hold for an hour while an excuse is being formulated. Scam company, avoid at all costs. Cost my company $750 to find this out. Unfortunately, my company is not close to either Georgia or Texas, so a personal visit is out of the question. Perhaps small claims court is the correct venue moving forward. STAY AWAY!! First photo shows where the cover (and battery compartment) were broken by GES and the sticker locale holding it onto the module. I should have at least skim the internet.....Their first contact sales guy,(that you Never hear from again), is probably one of the best BS'ers, and knows how to put you at ease....40+ yrs and I feel like a rookie after this ordeal. I sent (2) boards in for evaluation and repair, they assured both could be fixed and submitted a repair quote, I approved and 3 weeks, one of the boards shows up. Terrible company. Will claim they know how to fix an item, when they have no idea how. Even though you provide a ton of information and warn them it's very specific- their sales reps and techs assure you they have knowledge of the component. I don't think they even try to fix items- because nothing looked different after they returned it "repaired" the first time. Then they waste your time sending it back under their warranty to confirm they actually can't fix it. Do not do any business with this company if you work for an electric utility. They claim to be able to repair relays but they don't even know what a relay is. When talking to multiple people at the company after they charged for services they did not perform, i simply wanted someone to tell me what an MCGG relay did and they couldn't put me in contact with anyone that had even heard of the relay. We have used them numerous times to repair soft starts and Panelview HMI's. This company has twice sent back damaged softstarts and starters that will last a day or so and then fail. upon checking on the status of repairs usually months go by, sometimes 6 to 8 months if they can find it at all. The first part of this scam they call a repair business is that your product will be shipped soon. Next you will have to call numerous times to check again when it will be shipped, they will give you a date that will come and go. and lastly they will tell you your part is not fixable. You will never see your part again!!!!!!! I only gave them one star because there is no option for zero stars. Stay away from this company!!!! read more

After sending a unit back the first time, Global Electronics assured me it was fixed and working properly. The unit was received and wouldn't even power on... Working properly? I think not. Sent it back a second time... SAME THING HAPPENED. It simply, wouldn't power on. Spoke to numerous employees and "supervisors" who are either solely trained customer service reps or just don't know what they're even selling. Sent back a THIRD time. Again, spoke to what I can remember five different people in the company, requested to speak to the technician actually pulling the machine apart... Would they let me speak to him/her? Of course not. Finally got a hold of a "supervisor" who after listening to the entirety of what had been going on over the past three months or so seemed to understand my frustrations. Hooray! They're sending a BRAND NEW unit. Called to check on the status/arrival date of the unit, couldn't tell me anything. Or if they they did tell me anything it was that they were waiting on a part for it.... *confusion* Why would you need a part for a brand new unit? Cut to a few days later, the unit arrived. IT WAS A USED MACHINE. We took it apart to find rust and old components that didn't even look like our original one. The company's mission statement reads "Global Electronic Services refurbishes and repairs your entire unit, and fully load tests all equipment before leaving our facility. You won't get your equipment back until we're confident it's going to work right." With that, I sincerely would like to know HOW then do you condone such irresponsible and negligent work to be done, all the while being PROUD of it? All in all.... 0/10 do NOT recommend. read more

I worked there for a little over a month convincing people to send items in for repair. Out of every repair I sent back at least half did not work. I had a customer report to me that there were obvious bad components on a board, he sent it back under warranty and when we returned it the board had again visible bad components and didn't work. If you ask other employees if the warranty situation was consistent they were afraid to answer as there are literally cameras every few feet in the ceiling. I am pretty sure you would be under less surveillance working at the CIA. I would highly suggest nobody ever work here or utilize this companies services. They promise the moon and stars only to deliver "repairs" that you will have to return multiple times before they end up scrapping them. Buyer beware. read more

Two years ago we shipped these knuckleheads a logic board to repair. They sent it back scorched and with copper cladding peeling off and a couple of resistors twisted together to replace the correct value of a resistor that they replaced. What a mess! At the time we tried to get a refund of our $350 and they refused. Now today we need to use this board to replace a failed one. I doubted we'd have any luck with it but we tried anyway. No luck and no big surprise. Board was still defective after GES supposedly repaired it. So we have opened up a dialog with Jerry Godina in their customer service area. I had an abysmal experience at Global Electronic Services. On their website, they guarantee a 1-5 business day turnaround, but in my situation, I wanted the rush service to receive an essential keyboard in my case. I dropped it off on Saturday and told them they could work on it the next business day, which was Monday. It took them a day or two to get me an estimated price. Heather Coffey called me on the phone on Monday and gave me an outrageous price. She told me that the repair for a plated through-hole and to desolder the rest of the 40-50 mechanical switches was going to be $320. The keyboard is a ducky one-two mini, and it retails new for $100. On their website, they advertise a 10% price guarantee. I told her that, and then she changed the price to $75. What made my experience with this company is that they guarantee things that they can not give. For example, they took two weeks to fix my board. Not only that, but they assured me a new day up until the end of two weeks every time I called them. When I finally got my board back, there were repairs made beyond what I had intended. They only need to fix a plated through-hole, and they ended up repairing multiple through holes because the switches were desoldered wrong. I know this because some of the switches I got back had the plated through-hole on the pins. Please take your electronics elsewhere for minor repairs. I am sure they do an excellent job at repairing other commercial electronics, but mine they did so poorly that I will not be returning here or recommending it to others. read more

We used Global to repair our Krendl insulation blowing machine. Human error burned up the motor. I cannot speak for the technical aspects of the repair, but they fixed it. Our office is about a mile away from theirs, so we had the luxury of dropping off and picking up our machine. The facility is very nice and clean. Everyone I spoke to either via phone or in person was incredibly helpful and polite. The repair was completed in 48 hours. They completely refurbished the machine. We were given a year warranty on the work performed. I'm very happy with the service and repair. read more

The people working on my turntable, (the one my father had since he was a little kid), broke it and told me they would have to charge me again to repair it, and then they later told me it was irreparable. I am extremely concerned by the experience I have undergone to have a 12 v electric seat motor allegedly rebuilt to manufacturer's original specifications: Prior to shipping the unit, I inspected it in detail and performed standardized testing. I observed the brushes had worn unevenly and were chipped; I cleaned the scoring on the commutator. I only sent the unit for repair as I had injured my wrist. You assured me that the worn, chipped brushes would be replaced as part of a comprehensive rebuilding process. It cost me $10.40 to ship the unit, insured for $300. Return UPS shipping of $37 was charged to my account? The Work Order was written vaguely with no mention of addressing the brushes. Customer Service indicated the technician had ground down already worn brushes. The returned unit showed scoring of the commutator. There was debris inside the unit likely the byproduct of grinding the brushes. No air dusting evident. I searched reviews of Global Electronic Systems and to my utter dismay noticed some very negative comments placed there by your employees. Please perform the following: Refund me the $37 shipping fee as the agreed upon work had not been performed, plus the $10.40 spent to ship the unit to you. Refrain from sending me any more billing or charging my accounts. I received a call from Victoria, a supervisor who encouraged me to return the unit to be properly serviced. I declined and she promised to reimburse me for the $10,40 to ship the unit and the $37 charged to my UPS account to ship it back to me, After two weeks, nothing, CAVEAT EMPTOR! read more
