My go-to place to get spray tans... yes I prob should not be admitting that I do this, but hey, it's healthy. Also, the versa spa (what the spray tan is) works like magic! It is seriously amazing... not orange, not super nasty smelling... I know numerous west U and RO mommas that are obsessed... so if they are going then it OBVIOOOOUSSLY has to be legit. a bit pricey, I think 30 a time, but it is totally worth it before an event or to jumpstart your spring glow! read more

OK the second time I went to redeem the rest of my groupon package it was like a comedy of errors. I can't and I don't expect a tanning salon to hire brains, but maybe they should come up with a system to help their employees keep track of all the clients who come in after work. I actually felt bad for the girl who was working the front desk solo. They should definitely not do that either. In all, it took me almost two hours to get finished with what should have taken about an hour. I only stayed because it was slightly amusing to watch and mentally yelp. I came for the cryotherapy with a friend because I was able to get a groupon on it. It was a good experience. It was reasonably priced with my groupon and I'm glad that I came. The only problem is that the lady who helped me out only really explained to my friend what to do while I sort of had to figure out things on my own. I am absolutely in love with Glo Sun Spa. It's more then just a tanning salon. It has amazing spa services/products such as a facial light therapy machine that helps repair skin from damages and prevent wrinkles, the amazing collagen bed that stimulates intercelluar activity which helps the skin produce more collagen, a great hydration station that leaves your skin ultra hydrated and refreshed, the best spray tan that doesn't make you orange, and great UV beds. The salon is very clean and they steam clean all their beds. I was able to get groupon and got to try almost all the beds at a good deal. I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place already! Literally one of my favorite places in Houston. I've been a member for a year and it's my special treat to myself after a jog or workout. The staff is excellent, and the spa is always warm and welcoming and kept in Pristine condition! I thought this was just a tanning salon. Well it's so much more than that. This place is now one of my favorite destinations. The halotherapy is a game changer for your skin and lungs. It's like breathing salty sea air for 3 days in 20 minutes. There is a hydro therapy pod. I call it a pod. Fresh steam hydrates and purifies. There is a personal hot yoga room. (Big enough for two) The tanning beds look like the future. And like the future, they are amazing. This is an amazing spa. Amazing. The women who work here are fabulous. I've been a fan of Glo for a couple years now. The different services they offer are awesome. From a Lumiere facial to hydro-therapy, to versa spa...you are gonna leave glowing! I first stopped in after buying a groupon for a month of services. I liked it so much, I signed up for a year of uv tanning, which was free after buying any product over $80...not bad! And they don't pressure...either you want it or you don't. Always clean, smells great, and the girls that work there are always super nice. I plan on glowing all summer =) read more

Total SCAM, stay away from this place! i went for the free tanning trial they advertised on the website, they told me no such promo existed, then a super kind and smiling girl at the front desk, signed me in a 3 month tanning subscription, that ended up being a year nonstop membership they charged my card month after month without even me knowing it. When i did the claim they said i needed to cancel in written notice otherwise they will still charging, they maliciously enroll you in memberships be careful. read more

I love Glo! It is clean and the beds are amazing. In my experience, the staff has been helpful and they are friendly and know customers by name. You don't leave feeling as if you've just gone tanning, it is more like a spa experience. I have not tried Versa Spa, but I did just buy the Groupon for a $10 session (actually I bought four...!) Love the place but never going back! I had a free week trial for luxury services and thought it was absolutely amazing! So I went to sign up before a trip to the beach to get a good tan. When I signed up, they told me that it was a minimum of 3 month membership. I almost did not sign up because I only wanted a month membership for my trip. The lady who helped me then told me I could freeze my second & third month for only $5. I figured $10 was worth the additional cost for the tan for my trip since I was impressed with their services they offered. I then called before week two to freeze my account but could not because I could not do so over the phone..... and I was already on my way to Mexico. So I figured that was my wrongdoing. Now comes the third month and I go in person to freeze it. They told me that I cannot freeze during my required three month membership... I can only downgrade my services. I know for a fact that is not what I was told when I first signed up or I would not have gotten the membership! The employee was contacting a manager and assured my phone number was accurate to contact me later. So, I was still going to tan today since I was there and was paying for this second month. However, all their luxury beds are currently out because they were getting new equipment..... so they were nice to allow customers to use their magic bed complimentary. I was first in line to use it and was told the wait would be 10min. When the employee took me, the other employee stopped her and said another lady was next (who had gotten there after me...). So now my wait was an additional 15minutes. I left because I had a meeting to get to, but also because I am very annoyed with their customer service! So I will never be returning & want anyone to know to not expect much from it other than their actual equipment.... read more

I have been searching for a new tanning salon and I signed up for a guest pass to try this salon out. I've only gone twice so far but I am pretty confident I'll be a long term customer. Overall the spa is clean and well kept, the location is easily accessible with ample parking, the equipment is all high end and modern, and the staff has been super friendly so far. My first day a girl named Tammy helped me. After a brief and useful explanation of their process and promotions, she respected the fact that I was trying to beat the lunch crowd and got me set up right away. Instead of trying make me spend $100 on lotions like most tanning places do, she suggested a reasonable intensifier and I was off to the tanning bed! So far I really like this place and highly recommend it! Additionally, they are offering free basic tanning for an entire year to new clients. So if I need to budget I can just use the regular beds. THEY LIE ABOUT UNLIMITED ACCESS - IT's NOT unlimited. Stuff is nice and the location is clean, but their "unlimited access" during your membership period is a lie. They will only let you use the tanning equipment no more that every 24hrs. It is ridiculous - every next day I have to come at least a minute later than the day before or wait. And even if you don't come every day (so you are already not using their equipment much) if you come two days in a row because this is how it works with your schedule they still won't let you use their equipment if it's been less than 24hrs since the last time you used it!!!! No even if it's been 23hrs! So the "unlimited"access is not so unlimited after all. Besides, they only have one vertical tanning bed, which means LONG WAIT at the "prime time" after work (unless you want to touch surfaces with your bare skin - but who knows how well they clean it?). But suppose you waited in line, and got to the machine, and now the next day you want to come a bit earlier to get ahead of the after-work crowd - smart, but no you can't do that, because you can't use the machine unless it's been 24hrs since the last time. how ridiculous is that??? And they don't tell you about this restriction when you buy the membership of course. They just lie calling it "unlimited". Oh and one more thing - they close at 10PM, but they won't let you use the equipment (even the UV tanning bed which takes max 10mins plus the time to dress/undress) later than at 9PM. read more

Every time I walk in, I'm met with a big smile and a sweet greeting. I've been coming almost every other day for months for body wraps in preparation for a trip and they've only made a mistake with scheduling once and it was at the other location. The people at the other locations are also quite a bit more prissy, so I stay at this one, even though the other is more convenient. The treatments have been effective. The cost is minimal per treatment if you got the one year membership paid in full, which is a good idea if you know you'll be coming a lot. Only downside is it feels like you're constantly buying something. It would be nice if every time I came in I didn't have to buy a suit for the wrap and it was just included in the original price or let me buy a package of them and use them as I come. I love that they sell alkaline water as well! read more

I heard about a great deal and couldn't resist. If you buy lotion from Glo you get an entire year of tanning for free. Sure it's just the basic bed but what a great deal. I happened to buy a lotion that was $100 and you get the year of basic beds but the first month you get unlimited tanning in upgraded beds if you spend over $100. I have been going in the upgraded beds each time and they are great. I feel like I am getting my monies worth plus some. Usually and upgrade costs you $25+ so I think new customers should take advantage! read more

This is my place to go to when Summer time hits. Their machines are incredible and you can tell they take good care of the place and the machines. They are very friendly to their customers and they always give you a great recommendation when you don't know what skin tone color you are trying to go for. They are very helpful and they will definitely explain everything for every question that you have for them. Their hydration station is my favorite! Versa spa is great if you are looking forward for a quick tan and something that wouldn't stay permanent since it only last for about two weeks. Their tanning beds are so comfortable, fun and quick. I have been going here for years now. I started going to just get some color for a reunion - and now I am hooks. Aside from the way having a little color makes me feel (great!) this Spa really gets it right. The decor is calm and peaceful and the rooms are private and roomy. It is really the staff here that makes all the difference. Tammy and crew are out of this world when it comes to making you feel like a VIP everytime you enter the door. I do not know how they remember everyone's name - but they do and it makes a huge difference. They really take the time to explain teh beds and procedures. If you have never tanned before, this is so important so that you are not intimidated. I came across Glo Sun Spa when I was searching for some affordable tanning salons. Not only is Glo affordable but it's actually free for the entire year! Yes, seems like too good to be true, but it is true. Just like other comments mentioned the facility is very clean, however, one thing that it's missing is a small trash can in each room. So if you use the lotions in small packages you have no place to throw it away. Kind of annoying to me. The staff is very friendly, especially Gabi. She is awesome! Not only very knowledgeable and has answers to all my questions but also super nice to talk to. This is the best example of how much customer service really matters. It's nice that you can always chat with the staff where you go to use your beauty services and exchange new ideas. I definitely recommend this location. read more
