I got my first spray tan with Kristi yesterday and she was SUCH A GEM. I decided to go topless for the first time ever and Kristi was so professional and has this wonderfully calming presence. I haven't showered yet, but so far my tan looks pretty good! I did notice that my face is a bit lighter than the rest of my body. I am pretty fair skinned, so the tan itself seems pretty dark. I'm thinking my body/face will blend more once I've showered and rinsed off the solution. Regardless, I would absolutely come back for another spray tan. I really liked body brushed especially for the price! She's quick, in a nice area, clean and professional. The only suggestion I would give is if you normally like a dark tan I would go medium instead for going dark. I did dark and had to rinse of early because it was too dark for me I think medium would've been a perfect color! I had visited them when they were at their old location, but I cannot say I enjoyed my most recent visit. Though the girl was extremely nice and personable, my spray tan turned out to be extremely splotchy on my face and my hands are orange. As someone who has had many spray tans, I have never had a spray tan so wet to where the solution was literally dripping off me and had to be blotched with a sponge to try to fix it. Four stars only because the owner came to the rescue after I waited an hour for my appointment. Upon check in I was told by the only staff member there she was running twenty minutes behind. After she took a client another client told me she had told her the same thing and she had already been waiting 45 minutes. Good thing I didn't have other obligations and had time to wait patiently.... Kristi arrived and immediately apologized for the wait and got things moving quickly. This being my first spray tan she explained the procedure well. She was very thorough and a full body spray tan and dry only took approximately ten minutes. She saw a couple of areas that needed to be retouched and was very attentive. She made sure to wipe the palms of my hands and nails and powder areas that could become sticky on my commute home. I will definitely be back despite the wait. The quality of work exceeded my expectations and they are very affordable. Notes: They do honor the check in coupon even with the new client discount! The physical address has three parking lots. Make sure you park at building five's parking lot. Especially in this Texas heat. I am so impressed with my tan! She took time to know how dark I wanted, and made me feel completely comfortable during my spray. I've been getting spray tans for 10+ years and I have to say they really know how to spray consistently well and prevent streaking in the hot Houston heat! She took care to use lotion on my hands, sticky pads on my feet, and powder to sweat prone areas afterward to prevent color accumulation. I am giving this a two star because I didn't get to try the tan, so this is based off of scheduling alone. I made an appointment a week in advance for a first time client, rapid tan for a wedding. Fast forward to my appointment time - the doors were locked and no one in sight. I messaged via Instagram and received an apology - there was some kind of an emergency & couldn't get an associate there for another hour. I was really down to the minute on time due to the schedule of the wedding. Plus, I had to drive around 45 minutes to make it out (I live near katy, but because of the reviews, I decided to make the drive). On top of that, I had my two children with me (daycare closed), so waiting another hour was not an option when you have a limited time span already. Unfortunately, with first time clients, impressions are everything; super dissapoonted because the tans really do look amazing from the pictures I've seen. Pros: tans look good from what I can see Cons: EXTREMELY hard to find. I did circles down Bellaire and Stella Link for at least ten minutes before finding the location. Poor scheduling. I went to another tanning salon that had more efficient, last minute openings. read more

Out of all the airbrush tans I've gotten. This has got to be the most even and outstanding tans ever! I scheduled a later appointment but had to come in earlier so they were able to accommodate to me last minute. Once I arrived there was about a ten minute wait. The one thing I didn't like was that when you walk in nobody greets you. Until they are finished with the person ahead of you. Only one person had been working that day so unless your patient and understand that places can be understaffed you'll get the spectacular service. After my ten minute wait, Kristi had guided me into the room to let me undressed. I told her what shade I wanted to be and then we began! She took her time on the details and quality. After we were done she wiped down my nails and blow dried my whole body and even put powder on my creased areas. I've never been anywhere where they have put in the extra effort to make sure you are dry and won't mess up your tan. I'd definitely bringing my business back again! read more

I've had quite a few spray tans with Body Brushed, and I've always walked away super impressed! The tans have great staying power and fantastic color. I never committed to a package because I always had the flexibility to go on a Tuesday (Tuesday's are $25 Starlet tans, normally $35). It's really not difficult to get an appointment, and I've also seen quite a few customers get squeezed in if they needed a tan ASAP! Their website for appointments is user-friendly, and I've found every member of the staff pleasant and helpful. The first tan in a while is always the best, in my opinion; it just seems to stay longer and be more even. So if you have a special event coming up, I highly recommend giving Body Brushed a whirl a month or so in advance, giving it time to wear off, and coming back at least 2 days before your event for a fresh tan. read more

I got a spray tan at Body Brushed this weekend for an event and am very happy with the results! This was my first spray tan experience and was a little nervous, but Sabrina did a great job. She applied the spray tan carefully and took the time to go back over any spots that needed it and fixed the splotches that I caused by putting my arms down (right after she told me not to, woops). The tan came out perfectly even and gave me the nicest glow, definitely not orangey or streaky. The prices for the spray tans are very reasonable and the location was convenient for me. After doing a 90 day weight loss program and going from a size 38 waist to a 30, I felt like a million dollars! I wanted my white skin to be nice and tanned, but after having my dermatologist cut off lots of pre-cancerous moles from my body and warn me NOT to go in the sun, I had to find an alternative. I made an appointment with Body Brushed on Sunset Blvd. Being a male, I wasn't sure whether they would permit me to get a nude tan. But they were fine with it and extremely professional. The tan was far beyond my hopes and expectations. It lasted several weeks, and my wife wouldn't leave me alone. :) Thanks so much for helping me feel and look great. My dermatologist also loves the tan and recommends I do this regularly, as an alternative to the long sun exposure I would need to get the same effect. The Body Brushed facility was small and very personable, so I felt comfortable. I don't like being just a number in a factory setting. This place is great. I went in after reading the glowing reviews on yelp to get a spray tan and I was amazed at how thorough and detailed the spray tan was. Staff was friendly and the first time tan price was only $25. I've had to pay $60 before for a less quality tan. I will definitely be back!!!! Edit: the tan looked great at first minus a little streaky at heels and knuckles. But it wore off in about 3 days. So, it will look great at first but doesn't last. read more

I am compelled to write a review about this business, which is something I should have done a long time ago. I have been a regular at Body Brushed for years now, and I have always been more than pleased with my results. They have moved recently, and are in the process of getting the shop organized, which is certainly understandable. The owner is very knowledgeable about tanning, very creative, and as honest and trustworthy as they come. I can always count on her to do a fantastic job, and I am certain to get compliments on my tan wherever I go. I wouldn't think of going back to an automated spray tanning system to save my life after being spoiled with the personal touch and professionalism I have always received at this establishment. They are accommodating and will do whatever possible to help out their clients. Yes, it is a small business, and you may have to wait a few minutes, but it is well worth it when it is your time to tan. If you are rigid and want to be treated like a number, then visit a machine and get yourself an auto-tan. I am thankful to have Body Brushed since I gave up tanning beds (fear of skin cancer!), and I know I can always have a great, natural, instant tan whenever I call on them. :) read more

First off Body Brushed was very hard to find. It's a small suite in a plaza. They should give you directions when you make the appointment. Secondly, the spray tan was done very quickly. I should of known then my tan was not going to be great. It was very streaked and my hands looked terrible. Nothing worse than everyone knowing you've got a spray tan by looking at your hands. The tans here are even and look good and the girl who runs the place, Kristy, is typically nice. Tonight they double booked all their appointments so everyone had to wait 35 minutes.
