Went for a tan on Saturday morning got the regular level one tan....one, this tan is gorgeous. Two, they did say it was darker than most salons light color and it is m, but in the best way. D'Ann is awesome, she totally knows her stuff and is so genuinely nice. This was my first ever spray tan so I know zilch about the process but she made me feel super comfortable through it all. She used a Walnut base on me at a level 6 and said it needed to sit for 8-12 hours before I shower but warned me that the tan would develop to be VERY dark and to not freak out (she even said I could call her in case I did start freaking out haha). Sure enough midnight hit and I was totally freaked out when I looked in the mirror lookin' like a charred burger patty. (I had engagements pictures scheduled in 2 days). Regardless I went to sleep and said I would deal with it the following day. Sure enough the next day I showered and the tan was BEAUTIFUL. I was so happy with my color and how it all turned out. I am got a spray tan here and loved it! The first time I bought a Groupon and the second time I did the same. I tried to book an appointment and I was told that the Groupons are for first time clients and that it is in the fine print (so clearly they don't want people to see that before spending their money). I asked nicely if she would honor my Groupon anyways since I already paid for it and she said no. I informed her that I can get a Groupon for a spray tan from somewhere else but CHOSE to come back here because I had a good experience the first time. I asked her if she was willing to lose business over a Groupon technicality and she said yes (mind you, I already paid for the Groupon!!!!). TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. After many years going to the same airbrush studio they closed without notice. I probably tried 4 other studios until I found D'Ann (in my neighborhood... Even better!). She can do a standard airbrush, but her proprietary "Rapid" process is the best thing ever! She developed this herself. Leaves my skin super conditioned (has hylauronic acid and other goodies) and seriously...NO SMELL! others make this claim and this is the only time it's true! With the rapid tan, you rinse the product off about 2 hours after it's applied. Trust me you don't want to keep it on too long. After I rinse my color is partially developed and continues over the next day. D'Ann is awesome, really flexible and I can often make an appointment on fairly short notice. I was very happy with my Tanspire membership until I had to cancel it. I moved and was no longer in the area. I called to cancel and they said I needed to come in. I found this odd since I signed up via phone/email with D'Ann (the owner). I emailed D'Ann stating this and asked politely if she could save me a drive in town to cancel. Radio Silence. I was very disappointed that D'Ann didn't respond to me. Signing up with her via email was a breeze but now that I needed to cancel she wouldn't give me the time of day. I made the hour drive to cancel and all the receptionist had me do was sign and date a sheet of paper, I did not receive any confirmation of cancellation other than verbal. It was ridiculous that I had to come in for that. I am very disappointed and do not recommend anyone signing up for a membership with this salon. read more

I've now been going to this salon long enough I have to help others discover this place! D'Ann is so great. I've tried probably 4 places in Houston and countless others through my various moves. I was for sure a deal searcher before I found this place. My tan here always looks good, and it's professional grade. The woman who does the tans, and I think runs the place, is someone who I'd want to work at my start up. She doesn't think of it as a job, you can tell she genuinely wants you to have a better experience until you're getting exactly what you want every time. The specifics: Clean: yes, no worries on feet pads or cream, she provides them for you Tan: basics... always even tan, never issues w streaks or orange I hated other places where they leave after you're sprayed and put you in front of a fan, sometimes on the floor, and tell u to 'dry off'. She takes a hose of warm air and baby powder and makes sure you get evenly dry! It makes a huge difference, you don't have to worry as much about putting clothes back on. My friends tease me for looking tan, but it's always 'you just look tan, it doesn't look fake' -- I'd say that's a good tan! She does your abs and boobs to have a flattering shadow - just attention to detail, it looks great. This is not your average place: she asks you when you come back and even still, after 3 years being a once per month customer, how you liked your tan I am pretty shy about that speaking up but I told her once I was surprised at it not lasting more than a week once. She switched what I was getting, suggesting something else, and since always asks if I'm still happy with it. The tan here is great, the service is great, and it's very clean. If you keep coming in, you'll get the perks of getting the tan exactly how you want it! I quit trying new places. I love this place! read more

Love that they use the sticky foot protectors, protect your lungs from the spray tan with a little oral air filter, AND she uses an odor eliminating powder on any sticky areas after your tan.... which has always been my least favorite thing about spray tans. Maybe D'Ann was having an off day, but I had a completely opposite experience than all the 5 star reviews? Receptionist was very nice, but D'Ann did not ask me any questions, was not very friendly (maybe smiled once or twice) and did not give me any aftercare instructions, just said you're done and left the room. I had to ask the receptionist what to do next as I was checking out. Ok fine- not friendly, whatever. Water rinsed off the tan after 2 hours (did the rapid tan) woke up the next day and my hands and feet looked ridiculous. 3 of my fingers had a distinct line down the middle from the nail to the knuckle - half tan half white. Under my wrists were orange, another distinct line on my forearm, and lines all over my feet. And a huge brown spot on my sternum. Disappointed to say the least. My legs looked great though! But I definitely looked ridiculous for about 3 days. Felt the need to share after reading all these reviews, I'm hoping I was just there on a bad day. read more
