She covered my birthmark well and made me feel so good in my strapless bridesnade dress I had to wear. Also, I'm not a small person, but Brittany was so sweet, she must have known just how self conscious I was feeling standing nude in front of her cause she said just the right things and made it seem like I was not the most hideous figure to ever stand before her (cause that's how I felt). But I sencerily think she wasn't judging me at all, I just felt it! I haven't been back for a tan since then because as a mom of three, glam time doesn't fit into the schedule. But I will have my daughter get her tan with Brittany soon before an upcoming event in a few weeks.

From microderms, to dermaplanes, peels, and gold facials, Janie always has a good idea of what's best for my skin's needs. Before learning about Clarity Spa, I had been wasting money going to Hand & Stone for years. Their one size fits all approach to facials and constantly rotating selections of estheticians was not ideal for my skincare needs. In fact, I've seen more improvement in my face in one year with Janie than I did in three years going to Hand & Stone monthly. To reemphasize how good she is, I recently moved to Austin, yet I still make the three hour trip to see her once a month. Anyone living in the Clear Lake area looking to improve their complexion honestly has no excuse not to check her out!

I hired Andrea to do my daughter's hair and makeup for Miss Texas Teen after she came highly…read morerecommended and her work on Instagram looked impressive. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed. My daughter's hair completely fell before the pageant even started. I was shocked when I saw her walk out on stage--the curls were practically gone, and her hair looked frizzy and unpolished, almost as if she had just rolled out of bed. We had scheduled her hair and makeup touch-up for 1:30 p.m., and she was on stage by 2:00 p.m.--the style barely held up for 30 minutes. Considering the significant time, effort, and money we invested in preparing for this pageant, this was a huge letdown. I booked Andrea for the entire weekend, and when I brought up my concerns on Saturday, she suggested we leave the pins in longer before going on stage--which left me wondering why that wasn't done in the first place. While I appreciated the adjustment the next day, it didn't change the fact that the most important day was a total disappointment. If you need hair and makeup that actually lasts, I would not recommend booking here. I rarely leave reviews, but it's incredibly frustrating when a business doesn't deliver the quality you paid for and ignores your concerns when you reach out. I hope Andrea makes this right. Update: Andrea offered a 50% refund for my daughter's hair, but only on the condition that I remove my review, not because she took full accountability for how her work impacted my daughter's chances of placing as a finalist at Miss Texas Teen. Due to her lack of communication when I first messaged her about my concerns with the hair, I hadn't even had a chance to address the makeup until later. It wasn't until we picked my daughter up on the final day of the pageant that I realized how cakey and uneven the makeup was, patchy in some areas, completely gone in others. I sent Andrea photos (which I will not post publicly because my daughter is a minor), and her response was that my daughter never mentioned any issues. Well, my daughter is a teenager who knows very little about hair and makeup, and she didn't say anything at the time because we aren't the type to complain. That said, I would expect a professional to recognize and correct those issues without needing to be told. I paid $840 for poor-quality hair and makeup and a frustrating overall experience. Don't waste your money--lesson learned!

Ashley A, the opening shift counter person is absolutely awful to deal with! She was completely disrespectful and rude and probably about half my age and has no idea how to deal with a customer. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and advise you steer clear! They do not give refunds according to their policy. However, they also don't inform you that even though their hours say that they are open until 8:00 p.m. they close the spray tanning machine down at 7:30 so they can clean it and be out of there by 8:00 p.m. Due to the fact that I live and work in Houston, I am not able to get there any earlier than 7:30 p.m. and am told that I can't get a refund even though I was never informed that I had to be there before 7:30 p.m. to do the tanning in the spray tanning booth. Now I'm not able to use a membership that I paid $80 for and only tanned once and they refuse to give me a refund. This is very poor business practice in my opinion and if you value your time and money, I would definitely look elsewhere for tanning services!
