I walked in on a Wednesday evening around 5:45pm for a gel mani. No one greeted me when I walked in, they just stared at me. I told them I would like a gel mani, signed in, and picked out my gel color. I sat waiting for about 20 minutes and then one of the female employees walks up to me and asks if I can come back later or another day. Definitely will not be coming back! What terrible customer service. They could have told me they were too busy when I walked in rather than waiting. Such a waste of my time. read more

Went to this place on a whim because I just moved to the area and didn't know where to go. I loved it!! The nail techs are super friendly and do a great job. It also wasn't crowded AT ALL, which meant no wait. Even better - I got my hands and feet worked on at the same time - so relaxing! Plus, it made the visit really quick, as well. I'd definitely go back. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because they don't have as much polish to choose from as other places, but I was still able to find what I was looking for. read more

First trip to new location and I will not be back. I made an appointment for me and my friend, I was seated and started on and she had to wait another 10 minutes. Defeats making an appointment. I get acrylics all the time. I needed a full set and that's what my visit was for. I'm in the chair getting started, I'm asked what shape and tell the tech coffin. Which I'm then told it's an extra 5 dollars. Okay whatever. I still don't understand why. So the tech starts gluing the extensions on and trimming and shaping I take a look after he his finished to make sure it's what I desired. Well my right pointer fingers nail extension was glued and placed on crooked, I ask if he could fix it, take it off and re-glue it and show him how it's not on straight or correct. Here's where I have the problem, I'm then told it's how he had to glue it because MY nail is the issue. Like I said in the beginning I get acrylics all the time and I've never had this issue. I began asking him to PLEASE redo the extension to which he continued arguing it was my nail and there's nothing he could do ... it's aggravating because you could clearly see it was the way it was glued and how crooked it was on his part. And I've never had an issue with my real nail being crooked, where it effects the extension in the 6 years I've been getting acrylics, it obviously wasn't my nail or I would have this problem every time I get acrylics, he just simply didn't want to fix it. Which is a shame. The person doing my friends nails, was being rough with the nail file, my friend asked her to be more gentle which just like my tech she was argued with, not even moments later her skin was rubbed raw by her finger and she was bleeding. Of course not the techs fault either. This place used to be my go to, but after what happened today i won't be returning they would rather argue with you if you aren't pleased with something and don't care to make their costumers happy which was obvious. We were rushed through our appointment, that wasn't even honored and my nail is still crooked because even though I've never had this issue with my acrylics my real nail was the problem. So Jimmy is no longer there. The others that have done my nails are not near as good. I wish I knew where Jimmy went. They charged me $5 more than they used to and said that was their normal price. Well it wasn't the 3 times I had been there before. So I told them I would not be coming back. The place is looking run down and they always have their kids there, which I don't think is appropriate. I can understand once in a while, but I've been there 5 times and all 5 times they had their kids there. I'm looking for a new nail salon now. read more

I was very disappointed when I went to Glitzy nails. This was my first time visiting. I took my daughter for her 13th birthday and 2 of her friends to get a polish change. When we were there I felt like the staff was annoyed and not happy that we decided to come in. They were not friendly to the girls at all. They quickly rushed through their polish so they could get to their regulars. I understand that you want to treat your regulars well but you could earn additional business by treating new clients well too. The nail tech working on the girls quickly did 2 of the 3 girls and then started in the third. A regular client walked in and she stopped before putting on the top coat and decided to start on her regular. It takes 2 seconds to put on a top coat. So instead after waiting about 10 minutes a gentlemen came and applied the top coat and walked away. He also messed up two of her nails when he was applying the top coat. No one told us to wait for a certain length of time or anything. So after about 15 mins of just sitting I asked the girls if their nails were dry and they said yes so we went up to pay. No one acknowledged us for a good 3-4 minutes, then a gentleman came up and just gave me my total. Didn't ask if everything was okay or anything. I handed him my card. He ran it, and instead of handing it back to me he slid it across the counter. I thought that was incredibly rude. No thank you no nothing. Other nail salons I visit I can't get out the door without several people thanking me and telling me to come back. I will never return to this salon again. read more

I started going here when I moves to the area two years ago. The staff is friendly and usually can get you in quickly as a walk in. As someone else mentioned, it's run by a family. They do a nice job every time and have a good selection of colors. Prices are very reasonable and it appears clean. My only semi-complaint is that one of the guys is a little rough with pedicures...but for all I know this might be the same person that two other people said gives "wonderful massages"! read more

This place is absolutely horrible! I've been a total of 4 times now thinking it would get better, nope! Twice I've showed up an hour before closing and they stated since they were slow so they were closing. Every time I've got shallac done my nails have chipped in the same week. It's seems the only thing they can get right there is a pedicure. Either way I will never return. Besides the wait is awfully long and they only have two workers there. read more

That being said, I don't appreciate being argued with by someone who barely speaks English, over the fact that she cut 4 of my cuticles & made one of my fingers bleed. Somehow she thought that was my fault & that I didn't have any business saying something about it. I have been to Glitzy Nails twice now; once on my own for a gel manicure and once with my mother when she was visiting from New York (we both got gel manicures and pedicures). The manicures held up very well both times (9 days and counting with no chips or cracks)! The staff was great, too! Jimmy and Lynn were great to talk to and perfectionists that made sure that my mother and I were happy with our finished products! I ALMOST don't want to write a review and not be able to get an appointment. But they're so GOOD I just had to. First of all, the price-$40 for a full mani/pedi, and they don't try to upsell you on things like Callous removers or a good massage. It's all included. Secondly, these people are super meticulous...Don't just run in if you're in a hurry. I think I was there for around an hour and a half to 2 hours for my hands and feet. Honestly the best and most thorough pedicure I have ever had, and the manicure was great as well, and I have had some good ones having lived in Los Angeles where pretty much everything is done at a higher level of expectation. She worked on my dry, calloused feet for so long I think I left an inch shorter. I couldn't tell you what my manicurist's name was to recommend her, and I'm not sure she spoke English, because she really didn't speak much at all, and that was fine with me. At least I know she wasn't talking about how funky my feet were after a winter of hiding them in boots. I will go back here time and again, and if I were you I would make an appointment, as there were only 2 people working the day my friend and I went in. The only good thing that I can say is that they are open on Sunday. The salon is not clean, the workers have their children in the salon in cribs, playpens & wandering the store. I was continually annoyed by the flies during my pedicure. Although there were two pedicure chairs open & we were the only ones waiting, they seated another walk-in before my daughter & me. I cannot imagine what salon the other reviewers were in, but we certainly didn't not experience the same quality service. Will not be back. read more

I have been here a few times & the service is hit or miss. It depends on the tech & what else is going on. This last time, it was homework time. Then I was pointed towards the nail dryers and that was it. So was super mad the nail shop I normally go to in this area told me I needed an appt so I kindly turned around got back in my car and found this place. Looked at some of the reviews and was like ok I NEED my nails done so I'll give a try. When I pulled up I remembered I had been to this place before but didn't remember why I hadn't returned. Any who there was only one lady in the shop and one customer so I had to wait which wasn't bad bc I didn't need an appt. Once the guy arrived he immediately took care of me and did an awesome job.
