Best burnt ends in Searcy! They have beef or pork burnt ends available. I got beef which were huge and juicy with Incredible smoked in flavor and a wonderful sweet sauce smothered into every nook and cranny as barbecue should be! The pulled pork sandwich came with plenty of juicy tender moist flavorful pork. It had sauce on the side but somehow didn't need the sauce due to being so good on its own (and that is rare for me to say). The pork burnt ends were about half the size of the beef which makes sense and they were leaner and not as juicy but still fine. read more

This is the best BBQ in central Arkansas. Period. It's reasonably priced, great service, and absolutely delicious. These are wonderful people. This is an authentic mom and pop, homemade, real deal old-fashioned southern BBQ joint. Glenn and his crew are there to feed you, not give you some sort of "artisan crafted meat" experience. It's great food that beats the hipsters and fake boiled ribs chain restaurants. Big portions, great prices, fast, and most importantly, magnificent high quality mouthwatering BBQ. My granddaughter and I really enjoyed our lunch together at this little and unique restaurant. Our food was excellent and our waitress gave us a piece of chocolate candy. She was a really sweet lady but sadly, I forgot her name. She was very attentive, friendly and made us feel very welcomed. She also helped me decide what to eat because I was stuck between two items. I ended up getting the stuffed spud. Oh my goodness, it was huge and very tasty! I loved the blues music and the all around atmosphere of this restaurant. Absolutely the worst BBQ I've ever had. BBQ pork looked to be from a can. Beans were cold drenched in a horrible sauce with no pork in them. Bun evidently was microwaved. It was so hot and soggy it fell apart when I tried to pick it up. Everything was sickening sweet. read more

Tried this restaurant on a perfectly normal Wednesday evening. We seated ourselves, a waitress came within a short time and took our order. And then, we waited. And waited. Then, just for fun, we waited some more. After 30 minutes of being ignored by the wait staff (who didn't even check to see if we needed drink refills), one of the waitresses asked if we had ordered yet. We verified that we had, she left and asked the waitress who had taken our order about it. This waitress took at least 10 more minutes to come to our table, and when she finally did, she asked what we'd ordered. Clearly, our order had not ever been turned in to the kitchen. At this point, it had been at least 45 minutes since we'd ordered, and frankly, we were no longer even interested in MORE waiting. We left, and we will not be back. read more

Bit of a disappointment for lunch today. I ordered the rib tips and my wife ordered the country fried steak. Ribs were hot but tough. Texas toast was cold on both plates. Let me start off saying we were excited to go try Glenn's Smokehouse, we drove about an 1hr 30min to get there. We sat down got pur drinks, then placed our orders, this is where it starts to turn in from an pleasant experience to not so good. I ordered the kids each a jumbo brisket sandwich and each a side. When she came back to tell us they only can get pulled pork for kids, this is where I should of know there was disorganization. I got up walked up to counter and said I was not ordering a kids sandwich for them and when I placed order I stated jumbo brisket sandwich, the correction was made. Now back to the ordering my wife ordered a small brisket salad, which was listed for 8.99 and I had ordered a large pulled pork salad for 10.99 and wife ordered fried pickles and my mom order some fried pickels as well with the rest of everyone's meal. Now after everyone is done eating we ask for some to go boxes for the kids and ask for the check. My daughter had to get up from table and go ask a server at main counter for check as well. Once got the check the experience got worse. Let me start with each to go box was charged for .25, then my wife's small brisket salad was charged for 15.99 and my large pulled pork salad was listed at 11.99, then my wife's fried pickles was liked for around 5.89 and my moms for like 6.24. My thought when she asked if everything was good was that the disorganization, the randomness of charges and charges for everything was ridiculous. The cashier said you ready I reluctantly said yes, expecting to pay the outrageous total of the bill and especially for sub par BBQ. She states ok let me get the updated total and now my bill is approximately 5.00 more because I am paying with card. After taking another look at the receipt, the mess ups in charges, the additional charges tacted on, the quality of the food and service my Family and I have visited Glenn's Smokehouse twice this night, first and last. This place has been through several iterations over the years, all barbecue. We came here years ago and fell in love with the Pig Pie. Pulled pork, bbq beans, cole slaw, sour cream, shredded cheese and jalopenos piled on top of a bed of Fritos. This item has been a constant through the changes in ownership. We came today hungry for the Pig Pie and weren't disappointed. Yummy as ever. We also ordered some fried catfish, not on previous menus. Cornmeal breaded catfish fillets perfectly fried, crispy outside and soft flaky inside. The place is a dive but a pretty clean one. Servers are friendly and attentive. Waters stayed full, we stayed happy. Definitely coming back for more Pig Pie and more fish!! read more

We had a large Birthday celebration catered by Glenn's Smokehouse. It was amazing!!! The food was excellent, fresh, so delicious, beautifully delivered, and perfectly set up. We had pork, chopped brisket, white and yellow potato salad, to die for beans, and unbelievably good cole slaw. The BBQ sauce was perfect, especially the house sauce, and the food way too plentiful. What a surprise this place was! My husband and I chose Glenn's Smokehouse since it's one of the few places that participate in restaurant.com discounts and I'm always on the search for good affordable catfish. We consider ourselves very good judges of quality food since we've lived just about everywhere in our 25 year marriage and had access to some of the most amazing restaurants and he's traveled the world having the good fortune to try many different outstanding dishes. Sooo when we saw the outside of their building our hopes dwindled slightly lol.. it was small and underwhelming.. pretty blue paint though. But when you walk in you're greeted with unusual and whimsical decor which was a delightful and impressive surprise. It's small inside, as expected, but the space is well used. The atmosphere was nice with jazz music playing from vintage speakers visible on the wall.. which we loved. We were quickly greeted and told we could seat ourselves. We chose a two seat table in the back. A waitress came almost immediately and I wish I could remember her name because she was so friendly and pleasant. Our drinks were promptly served.. just a soda and tea and both were good. My husband ordered the beef brisket with macaroni and cheese and I had the catfish with fries. I had read that the potato salads are great so after our server explained each type we ordered both the mustard style and the sour cream style(can't remember if they had specific names). My husband loved the sour cream style, which was in fact very good, and even though I was pretty full after the catfish I just couldn't tear myself from the mustard style potato salad. It was amazing. My husband loved his brisket and mac n cheese. And although I didn't have any if it, it looked delicious. My catfish was served with all of the typical sides you'd expect such as pickles, lemons, tartar sauce, onions. It was moist and substantial with tasty breading. Not soggy at all and cooked perfectly. The fries were seasoned slightly and cooked to perfection .. not soggy and not hard. My only complaint was the onions were a little past the point of tasting fresh but I'm sure if I would have mentioned that I could have got fresh onions. My husband also had the banana pudding.. he loved it but I found it too sweet.. no big deal though. One last note.. the catfish was better quality with a better price than all the places I've had catfish locally. We will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this place with five stars in everything - service, food, cleanliness, price, atmosphere! read more

My family loves their Bar-B-Q pulled pork and ribs, we routinely gets these for take out. My absolute favorite for a sit down there are the Pig Fries, OMG!!! It comes out all piled up on meaty HOT french fries and then loads of BBQ goodness, there's plenty for two to share. The building is definitely a dive (maybe that's part of the charm) but the food is great and so is the service.
