    Onion rings

Overpriced for mediocre food. I asked for the fattiest juiciest meat they had and ended up with incredibly horrible sliced brisket with very tiny fat caps and otherwise moderately tender but chewy dryish flavorless slices of meat. So so bad. The macaroni was terrible and artificially flavored. The onion rings were Sonic-style with a small crumb and decent crispness with overall average flavor. The only decent item was the half rack of large bone St Louis ribs I got okie style which has the mild very sweet KC style sauce smothered on it. The ribs were not falling off the bone which is nice and easily separated once bitten. They were mostly moist and not bad but definitely not anything better than average.

Nuthin' Like Good Barbecue!!! I have to say, I really liked my time and my meal at the Rib Crib. I was only in Searcy for the night and I had a craving for Arkansas BBQ. I asked the folks at the Hampton Inn for a recommendation and they pointed me to the Rib Crib. From the moment I walked in was already salivating at the smell of slow-cooked meats. I had a local ice cold beer and I ordered the 3 meat platter and had chicken, pulled pork and ribs. The meal came with green beans and baked beans. Everything on my plate was delicious and I almost finished the whole plate. All the meats had a good level of smokiness, no dryness at all and Rib Crib supplies you with multiple sauces that you try. This is a great place to eat and I most certainly would try another Rib Crib.

    Delicious Burger and beans!

The classic idiom, "Third time's a charm," certainly comes to mind when I think of the Rib Crib BBQ in Searcy. If you don't know, "third time's a charm" refers to someone or something that has already experienced two failures but expresses hope that the third effort will succeed. Note: I have eaten BBQ ribs in Texas, Arkansas, Memphis, TN, and beyond and was always delighted at the great meals I enjoyed. For the Searcy Rib Crib BBQ, my third time was charmed with a great meal. This, of course, follows two failures at providing a good-tasting meal worthy of its price. Restaurant Appearance: Very nice aesthetic with clean bathrooms, tables, and a relaxed atmosphere. Location: Easy entrance and exit onto the main thoroughfare. Wait Staff: Polite and attentive. Food: First Meal -- To say that this meal was an overpriced joke would be an understatement. I ordered Chicken Strips with Onion rings. The meal presentation was as expected, with an appetizing plate of food staring me in the face. With my first bite, I knew something was wrong with my meal. Nothing was spoiled or otherwise inedible. Upon closer examination of my "Chicken Strip," I suspected they should have written the menu's description as "Chicken-Flavored Bread Strip." I wish I had taken a photo of my halved "Chicken strip," for it was 80+ percent breading with a thin "sheet of flattened chicken hidden in its deepest, darkest interior. Luckily, it was dry too! That made it a real delight to eat! To choke down my "Chicken-Flavored Bread Strip," I needed some heavy artillery dipping sauce. The Onion rings were good but still required dipping sauce. By the way, I usually never want nor need a dipping sauce for chicken strips. My meal was so disappointing that my wife offered me some of her Barbecue Sampler Platter. Most of the meats were dry with sauce, making them slightly more palatable. I tried one of the ribs on her plate, and although it looked about the size of a medium dog's ribs, it was tasty! Small win, but I was happy for even that! Second Meal -- I ordered the Super Spud. While this meal was definitely better than the first one, it would seem that the Searcy Rib Crib can't seem to get their barbecue meats to be juicy and flavorful. The Super Spud lived up to its name by being one of the larger potatoes I have ever feasted my eyes on. It was big, but the scant and dry meats that adorned it seemed more for show than for BBQ meat satisfaction and satiety. Third Meal -- Not expecting much anymore, I ordered the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger with Sweet and Smokey Beans as my side. At first sight, my heart went pitter-patter at what appeared to be a gastronomic delight waiting to be enjoyed. With some trepidation, I picked up this juicy-looking burger and took my first bite. Yowza, I hit the Rib Crib jackpot! This burger was as good or better than it looked! The Sweet and Smokey Beans perfectly complemented an already great meal! To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement! Conclusion: We periodically meet with a group, so I am pleased to find at least one great meal at the Searcy Rib Crib BBQ for future lunch meetings. Side Note: Martha Stewart's Anatomy Lesson: "A Chicken Wing Has 3 Parts -- While a chicken has two wings, a complete chicken wing has three parts: the drumette, the midsection (which is also known as the flat or the wingette), and the wing tip. Wings aren't white or dark meat--they're a hybrid of the two. The drumette is attached to the breast, so the meat there is leaner. The flat has more skin, connective tissue, and a rich flavor. The wing tip is mostly skin and bone." I don't know what sort of a "Jedi mind trick" many restaurants are trying to use, but they are fooling no one. The "force" in us is stronger than to fall for that, sadly we just tolerate and support this practice. Knowing that a whole chicken wing has two customarily edible portions. Restaurants knowingly advertise 10 chicken wings on their menus as a meal while only serving 5 whole wings on the plate of their unsuspecting diner. How is this sleight of hand performed? Simple enough for a garden variety pick-pocket to perform. The kitchen staff merely takes one chicken wing and cuts it in half. Voila, we now have one chicken wing that has miraculously become two chicken wings! Honestly, that is lame! I don't want to give them any ideas, but if I ordered two chicken breasts and the cook just cut one chicken breast in half. Would the and the result be two chicken breasts? Of course not! Similar enough of a comparison for my book. Lol

This is called The Dirty Deed on the menu. Pulled pork is underneath the rib.

My husband and I ordered The Dirty Deed. This dish had one rib, smoked sausage and pulled pork and it comes with two sides. We chose baked beans and potato salad for our sides. Our server was training another server. Both were courteous. Our meal came in a timely manner. This restaurant isn't first on my priority list for bbq (I'm originally from a city known for it's bbq) , but that being said it was a decent meal and we did not leave hungry, it had a nice atmosphere and truly terrific employees.

Super good food and plenty of food. Plus they give a discount for people staying at the Best Western next door.
