What went not well was their demeanor, lack of professionalism, and lack of communication skills. We are all in the middle of the street and I was told to get out the street because if I get hit by a drunk driver right now they will not be held responsible. Excuse me? It was a surprising remark because their vehicles surrounded my car and there were multiple officers standing around in the middle of the street chatting nonchalantly like it's just another day. Your other officer just told me to hurry and go get my belongings that were in the middle of the street because they are towing your car right now and that I will need to get off the street now. Me questioning him saying "who is the tow company that is here trying to tow my car without speaking to me at all. I did not order them. I need to contact my own tow first" police offer gives me a snarky look and says 'are you listening to me?" Um yes I AM and I'm saying who is towing my car?!explain to me what's going on. Because what I'm seeing is that this tow guy that's been waiting around anticipating this accident rolls by, hooks his tow to my car and proceeds the lift. Anyone want to inform me what is happening? I didn't order this tow, and there were still things that needed to be collected by me like I need to get license plates. I need to grab my belongings from my car! Never have I ever experienced such rude officers. In previous experiences, officers have been so kind and asked me several times if I got license plates, did you exchange insurance info already?" What is with all the aggressive ordering around and gaslighting. They don't like when you ask questions it seems and if you in the slightest question them they take it as a form of resistance which they do not like. I am allowed to know what is going on because I'm a person that's involved. I'm allowed to ask questions too. What's with all the attitude and ego with these officers?! I say I need to go take photos of the accident. Cop replies: I got them already. I tell him 'no I need my own photos so I can send them to my insurance. (I never got these photos from them by the way) ' he looks at me snarky and offended and told me 'be quick because they're towing it right now' Short Officer with brown mustache also needs an attitude check as he was barking orders left and right, "I need your license.", gives it back to me with one finger and has a face like he doesn't want to give my license back to me but has to. I'm not saying the whole department is this way but the officers at the scene were aggressive at the beginning, barked orders around, and I can sense just from their presence/ attitudes that these officers are the types to escalate things and blow things way out of proportion unnecessarily, unethically, and aggressively. These are power tripping officers that act tough and protect their own. I felt super uneasy with these officers which shouldn't be the case at all.

The second and last time I came here was a different story. There was a female employee who was yelling at people and pointing for them where to go. So unprofessional. When it came to my turn, I was confused to where she was pointing at and yelling at me where to go since she was behind the desk but she continued to just yell louder and give me attitude like I was a back in grade school. I'm a substitute teacher and I don't even talk to my students that way. I went up to her to ask her a question and she just gives me attitude back again. The other employee next to her was more patient and professional. But my goodness I've never had to deal with such a rude, unprofessional employee anywhere before. The whole DMV was just chaotic. I typically go to the one in Arleta and it's much more organized no matter how packed it gets. Definitely won't be back there again.

There's nothing fancy there but since it's there might as well walk through. But along the main strip, they do have a good amount of restaurants, bakery and quick and easy dining. Not to mentioned some shopping along the way. We came for dinner with some friends which I didn't even know that that had a night market happening. I was told that it goes on during The weekend. It's nothing to fancy just a few vendors with homemade gifts and a few food stalls. It's a good way to showcase your business as it right along the strip where the movie theatre and restaurants are. I've also been to a Yelp event just along here which was fun. Downtown Burbank isn't crazy but it does pack a lot into it. With Finney's, Yardhouse, Granville to name a few of the bigger chain restaurants. You have the movie theatre, more restaurants and shopping along the strip. Then there's the mall at the corner. It's a few block radius which isn't too big but all packed in together. Also loads of sushi restaurants which I love. Plenty of parking at one of the many parking structures. There's street parking if you get lucky.

Parking garages are plentiful, but they can absolutely fill up on weekends as well as holidays. Walking is fun with easy navigation (very pedestrian friendly) - I'm often around exploring from Angeleno Avenue to Burbank Blvd/San Fernando Blvd, which breaks up but highlights the center of Downtown. Enjoy sandwiches at the Wild Carvery, ranked #30 among top sandwich shop spots in 2025. Dine in at Granville, Wokcano and other little big chains. Another Broken Egg Cafe is very much a popular spot for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Shop it up at Burlington Coat Factory, Macy's and more. Laugh it up at the iconic Flappers comedy club off the corner of 1st Street/Magnolia Blvd. Take the Downtown Burbank Metrolink, local city LA Metro or Burbank Busses, Pink and Orange routes. Some parts of Burbank do have an incline, especially in the down of town area. Easy but busy freeways like the 5, the 134 being the closest connection. Depending on your destination to or from Magnolia Blvd, Glenoaks Blvd and even Burbank Blvd can be the next best thing. For the nightlife Fantasia Billiards is a fun place to shoot some pool and have a drink, nice patio overlooking the main Boulevard. And Round1 Bowling & Arcade stays open until 2am w/ karaoke rooms, eats and solid beverages #FunForAll The cost of living ranges (2k for a one bedroom), but the area is very inviting, rich in life and culture, not to mention cuisine. Summers can be quite hot, but also enjoyable. Winters and fall will definitely see some exciting season holiday decor, plus happenings. Explore, visit and thrive in Downtown Burbank.

Consistent Southern Brunch Favorite! Even All the Way in Burbank!…read more I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the "Another Broken Egg Cafe" sign in Burbank. I've been a regular at their Destin, Florida location for years and was genuinely thrilled to find the same spot all the way out west. The restaurant originally opened in Mandeville, Louisiana (on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain) in the mid-90s as The Broken Egg Cafe, with the second location (Destin) becoming "Another Broken Egg." The Burbank spot perfectly captures that same warm Cajun-inspired atmosphere and the menu is nearly identical which was a comforting consistency I really appreciate. I sat at the bar and ordered the Cajun Shrimp & Crawfish Omelette (shrimp, crawfish, andouille, red peppers, tomato hollandaise, tomatoes, and green onions). I ditched the carbs and asked for a side of cottage cheese instead of the usual potatoes and English muffin; they happily accommodated my low-carb request. The omelette itself was hearty, flavorful, and exactly as good as I remembered from the East Coast locations. Jenny, the bartender/server, took excellent care of me. She was friendly, attentive, and we traded a few funny jokes that made the meal even more enjoyable. The food and service were both excellent, and I love that the experience feels so consistent no matter which location I visit. Since I come into town regularly, I'll definitely be back.
