You find out new things each time you come here. I've been loads of time but usually for lunch or a stroll through the mall. There's nothing fancy there but since it's there might as well walk through. But along the main strip, they do have a good amount of restaurants, bakery and quick and easy dining. Not to mentioned some shopping along the way. We came for dinner with some friends which I didn't even know that that had a night market happening. I was told that it goes on during The weekend. It's nothing to fancy just a few vendors with homemade gifts and a few food stalls. It's a good way to showcase your business as it right along the strip where the movie theatre and restaurants are. I've also been to a Yelp event just along here which was fun. Downtown Burbank isn't crazy but it does pack a lot into it. With Finney's, Yardhouse, Granville to name a few of the bigger chain restaurants. You have the movie theatre, more restaurants and shopping along the strip. Then there's the mall at the corner. It's a few block radius which isn't too big but all packed in together. Also loads of sushi restaurants which I love. Plenty of parking at one of the many parking structures. There's street parking if you get lucky. read more

Just about every weekend, I find my way to Downtown Burbank. There is just so much here. Plenty of places to kill a little time, whether that be for clothes (Old Navy, Macy's, Ross), food (Panda, Silver Lake Ramen, Finney's Crafthouse), movies (an incredible 3 AMC's here) or just walking around to people watch. My wife and I have the AMC A List and so we're here at least twice a week, most weekends. I like that the area has an indoor mall portion as well as an outdoor section, and that there's businesses up and down the street as well. It gives you a ton of options for new things to try and places to get lost in every time you come. The area is walkable, and despite the best efforts of the city, free parking is still (mostly) available to the public. Hopefully, they keep it that way...I've gone with 4 stars because the city is now charging for some parking in the area, which I think puts a lot of extra pressure on the already-crowded free garages, and discourages business. Otherwise, this is one of my favorite places to be most weekends :) read more

Gotta love DTBK, Downtown Burbank in the city of Burbank is a central hub of food, entertainment, culture and more. From the local Burbank Town Center to the AMCs (16, 8 and 6) to the cool statues like Batman outside of the Slice House by Tony Gemignani Enjoy fun vendor marts, the Taste of Burbank festival and gatherings throughout the year. Parking garages are plentiful, but they can absolutely fill up on weekends as well as holidays. Walking is fun with easy navigation (very pedestrian friendly) - I'm often around exploring from Angeleno Avenue to Burbank Blvd/San Fernando Blvd, which breaks up but highlights the center of Downtown. Enjoy sandwiches at the Wild Carvery, ranked #30 among top sandwich shop spots in 2025. Dine in at Granville, Wokcano and other little big chains. Another Broken Egg Cafe is very much a popular spot for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Shop it up at Burlington Coat Factory, Macy's and more. Selfcare at Purpose LA Barbershop, The Local Salon inside the mall (aka BTC - Burbank Town Center) and Eden Nails & Spa to name a few. Laugh it up at the iconic Flappers comedy club off the corner of 1st Street/Magnolia Blvd. Take the Downtown Burbank Metrolink, local city LA Metro or Burbank Busses, Pink and Orange routes. Some parts of Burbank do have an incline, especially in the down of town area. Easy but busy freeways like the 5, the 134 being the closest connection. Depending on your destination to or from Magnolia Blvd, Glenoaks Blvd and even Burbank Blvd can be the next best thing. For the nightlife Fantasia Billiards is a fun place to shoot some pool and have a drink, nice patio overlooking the main Boulevard. And Round1 Bowling & Arcade stays open until 2am w/ karaoke rooms, eats and solid beverages #FunForAll The cost of living ranges (2k for a one bedroom), but the area is very inviting, rich in life and culture, not to mention cuisine. Summers can be quite hot, but also enjoyable. Winters and fall will definitely see some exciting season holiday decor, plus happenings. Explore, visit and thrive in Downtown Burbank. read more

Downton Burbank is a great area to go eat, explore, watch a movie, shop and or just walk around. The Burbank mall has decent stores to visit and there even a Round1 arcade in there as well. If you want to watch a movie then there are like three different AMC theaters in the area and tons of eating places. I been coming here for the last two decades and still haven't ate at all the restaurant here. Some are gone and new places has open so you'll have tons of optoons. There are many parking garage and public parking spots as well to choose from. I always park at the public parking in the police station because I know my car is safe there and it's a straight street to the 5 freeway entrance. The only downsize here is the taxes because it's higher here than any other city. read more

We recently moved from Sherman Oaks to Burbank, and this is a good thing. I definitely prefer Burbank's smaller feeling community to the big city life. I love that this town is tucked up against the hills, such a pretty backdrop. Downtown Burbank is a very walkable area, and close to home for us. I often walk there with my dog. My husband and I have walked there for dinner or just to stroll. My daughter and I have walked there as well. There are a number of eateries, a movie theatre, stores, salons, etc. It feels pretty safe and clean. My wish is that there would be more restaurants with vegan options along this lovely strip of Burbank. We've eaten at Ike's, Kabuki, Yard House, and Slice House which all have some vegan fare. And usually Pinkberry has one vegan flavor of froyo. While Burbank PD is good about patrolling, this area seems to be frequented by transients. They do keep it moving, though, so thankfully there no encampments or anything like that. So glad we have this walkable Downtown area here! read more

Oooh. I located free parking again right now as I'm penning this review. What a fun district to take out food/drinks and shop from, 'Downtown Burbank,' CA., absolutely is. If it's not this late since I drove all the way out to Northridge earlier today on 02/11/24, I was trying to explore as many local biz here as I can. There are Lots of fun/cool things to do here in 'Downtown Burbank,' such as shopping in liquor stores where I actually just bought a few keychains. Lol..... There's 'Boba Loca,' 'New York Pizzeria,' 'ODs & Enz,' bookstore which was what I went for, but they closed down early for Super Bowl Sunday/2024. I'll have to take an earlier trip down here another day this coming week, but LOTS of fun things to do out here indeed. I lived in Burbank from my early teen years and raised 2 of my children here (I'm no longer a Burbankian but still frequent). Burbank for me has always had a small town/safe feel though in recent years, has become more congested. Downtown Burbank is such a casual area to spend time for lunch/dinner and a movie. Lot's of stores to explore including the mall. This is a far cry from my teenage years when they had closed San Fernando Rd. to through traffic and only had pedestrian access. Parking in the structure off Orange Grove can be a challenge. If you have a few extra minutes, park in the mall structure. read more

I always describe growing up in Burbank as a bit like the old school family TV shows like Ozzie & Harriet and The Brady Bunch. It used to be so white that even though my brother and I are only 1/2 Asian, we still stood out... Well, a lot has changed. The Downtown Burbank strip along San Fernando used to be foot traffic only and since then they have made it into a full-fledged street. Most of the old mom and pop stores are gone now, replaced by chain restaurants, AMC movie theaters and chain clothing stores. The crowd is now very diverse but still family-friendly. It's very safe, (the police station is only walking distance away so they are ever-present) walkable and convenient. You can visit my favorite valley Korean restaurant, my favorite optometrist, 30 AMC movie screens at three different locations, two breweries, two pubs, a Japanese BBQ, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, two karate studios, ROSS, Gap, Urban Outfitters, Starbucks, frozen yogurt, ice cream, cookie dough, Comedy Club, a small mall and more - all within three blocks of each other! And Pokémon! This is ground zero for all you Pokémon Trainers out there! Lots of gyms, including two ex-raid gyms, tons of Pokéstops and wandering hoards of trainers on community day! If you need that special legendary and have no one to battle with...come to Downtown Burbank on a Community Day! A great area to hang out and walk around. Free parking in the streets, malls and structures. Just be careful because some spots are limited to either 90 minutes or two hours. Lots of restaurants to choose from and some more soon to open. Can't wait until Boiling Crab and Yard House open their doors. Great AMC movie theaters located in three different areas. AMC 16 which is the biggest one is by Palm, the newly renovated AMC 8 at third floor of the mall, and also the newly renovated AMC 6 by In and Out. Lots of activities held here - Beer Festival, Wine Festival, Arts & Comedy Festival, Car Show, Tree Lighting, Winter Ice Rink, etc. There's also the Farmers Market every Saturday. Only drawback is the mall. Right now, it's almost empty due to increasing rents. Rumors has it that the management is doing this purposely to be able to proceed with the much needed renovation that is already long overdue. read more

Got in a very loooong line of cars all looking for a place to park and we get to the top - the very top! and, all the cars in line going up each level looking for parking are making uturns in a small pocket of the top floor and driving all the way back down. Downtown Burbank is a decent area to stroll around, besides the mall. If you want to walk around outside, downtown Burbank is a great area to check out, not too big, it spreads over a few block. You can pop in stores - a mix of indies (used bookstore), boutiques and chain (Gap Factory), so some shopping. It's a great area to have lunch, dinner there are many ethnic options (Italian, Middle Eastern, Thai, Vietnamese, etc). There's also a movie theater (not a fan of this AMC, but it's an option). There are a few coffee-shops, ice-cream parlors and a few other small eateries if you just want a snack, too bad they're mostly chains. There are a few parking garages in the area and street parking. You can find garages you can park for free. Like in many LA area, look into, check the signs, do your homework. The area is nicely decorated for X-mas and also hosts various street festivals during the year, my favorite one is the Downtown Burbank Art show (a weekend at the end of April), a decent spread of various local artists. For me, this is a laid back, charming area to go to when I don't have major weekend plans. Bit of strolling, bit of shopping, maybe a bite to eat? When in doubt... downtown Burbank is a save, a decent place to go to. It can turn into a fun outing close to where I live. No frills, but no major effort either. read more

Be care of public parking time limits, even in the parking structures. They will give out tickets!! $43 :( Downtown is a suburban type of outdoor area of chain restaurants, movie theater and family stuff. Plenty of restaurants and blocks to stroll down. Suburban type of downtown here. Didn't expect the to be so strict on the parking since there is alot to do. Be careful! Compared to other downtowns I'll give Burbank three stars. It's a nice area to walk around and there are plenty of restaurants to eat at but that's just it. There are really only restaurants here with the occasional store every once in awhile. Not too many bars, at least from what I could tell. If you want to shop, the Burbank mall is super close. It's only about a five minute walk from the main area where the AMC 16 theatre is. Speaking of theatres, I have no idea why there are three AMC's so close together in this downtown. It doesn't make any sense to me.... Other than that, this is more of a suburban downtown for sure. Lol there's an ikea here too. read more

Pretty cool place! There are a lot of cool shops to check out and places to eat. Looks like it's undergone some renovations lately, and so it's looking good. It has a fun and exciting vibe to it. Nice spot to see a movie, grab a bite or a cup of coffee. They have a bunch of restaurants to choose from that almost always offer a lunch special if you're around for that. Parking is tough so you have to do your best. There is a big structure on First & Orange but it fills fast during weekends so do your best. You can park on the surrounding streets too but it's hit or miss. I like the fact that DT Burbank is a good place to come to watch a movie because there's so much to do before & after the movie so it's a great date night destination or you can come with friends. read more

YELP 100 CHALLENGE 2017... 4/100 Downtown Burbank is a great place to hang out on a daily basis. This place has a very nice atmosphere and safe environment. It has many different types of restaurants and still more to come at the moment. I always come here to watch a movie with family and have some dinner. They have fancy restaurants around or just a chill layed back sports bar like Buffalo Wild Wings. If you come here in a Friday or weekend it gets really full of people. Many people come here to watch a movie mostly and eat some wings. I love coming here to relax and enjoy food. Many street performers also come and perform here and makes this place more interesting and cool. Definitely always coming here on a Friday or Saturday evening. The thing I can't wait for is still under construction the BOILING CRAB SEAFOOD restaurant that's gonna open soon I hope. Also a chronic tacos place!!!! read more

It's really great place to meet new people here on a Friday night. There is a tons of people walking around just enjoying California weather. There is a lot of places to eat, and a theater in and out of the mall. The food is wide variety from ramen, Mexican, Vietnamese, American, and Italian. You only need to wear a sweater. It's a great area. The movie theater is clean, the restaurants in the area are great. I would recommend Gormet 88, Fuji Sushi, Sweety's Candies, Market City Cafe, and Don Cucos. I've been in the area for the past 4 years and have watched it grow better with each year. It's a very safe area with very little crime due to the Burbank Police force being only a few blocks away. This place loses one star because security does nothing about fake charities collecting money. This is around the stretch where Pizza Rev and AMC 16 is. There is, everyday, at least one man walking around with a clipboard asking to help a charity or a church. A long time ago one of them was caught and was never allowed back, but looks like some of his friends are under a different fake company name. Do yourself a favor, if you want to give, check your smart phone first to see if they are a legit charity. 9 times out of 10, they aren't. They pocket the money themselves. I don't mind giving my money to the homeless, but I do not give it to liars pretending to be doing something for the greater good. Not saying there are never worthwhile charities that come down here, they do. But the majority of the time they are just men with clipboards looking to score a buck trying to guilt you. If you say no to them, their face falls and they look mad. If you give only a dollar, they try to guilt more money out of you. They aren't thankful. That's not someone working for a charity, that is a man who is pissed he can't get a hand out. DO NOT FALL FOR THE SCAM! If you want to give, please find a local worth while charity.
