The canyon roads (especially Laurel Canyon and Mulholland Drive) are your windy adventure, in, through, and out of the hills not to mention the 101 Hollywood Fwy. Enjoy Runyan Canyon trails, Fryman Canyon Park, Vine Stairs, and/or Bronson Caves. Bask at the Hollywood Reservoir, see a show at the Hollywood Bowl or The Ford, and stay at the BLVD Hotel. Have some Italian-style cuisine at Pace. Sip a craft wine or brew at Beachwood Cafe or a caffeine cup at The Trails cafe. The Hollywood Heritage Museum off Highland is history personified as are major historical landmarks such as the Cross and Sign themselves. Whether a local, passing through, or on vaycay... The hills of Hollywood have a lot to offer.

I NEED EVERYONE'S HELP!…read more FRIDAY I got married! It was awesome and our day was going perfect. We took a bunch of photos just as anyone would and at the end of the day we took the drone out for a few more photos... One way or another we lost signal and the drone went down close to the Hollywood sign. We immediately ran up the trail to get the drone, Julia, was right behind me, and even though I told her to stay, she said no way. Her reply was that she made a vow to stand by me and she would follow me anywhere. (What could I say!?). So, white dress and high heels, we started up to the top. We searched with what little time we had left but unfortunately came up empty-handed and had to start back down the trail. Now we are All covered in dirt and stains from the track, Julia has her shoes off because there is no way to make a hike in high heels. We actually enjoyed just being together and having fun in the moment - even though she was in pain from no shoes. lol - I was proud she was being a trooper, but mostly happy that I married a really down to earth woman. When we got down to the bottom of the trail we realized that all of our photos from the wedding and the day were on that drone on a mini SD card. So we have come back and searched and searched and found nothing. I know somebody didn't get it because it's in an area with not much foot traffic and I have been right there since it went down. I ask that people share this and do what they can to help. All I really want is the SD card back with the photos, if anyone is willing to help me find it please contact me and I will send you the last known coordinates that I have of its location they are not exact but with a few more people I know we could find it. Thanks so much, Corey - 909-492-0456

Yayoi Kusama's Infinity Mirrored Room - May 2016 - my obligatory, albeit blurry, pic :)

This installation of Yayoi Kusama's Infinity Mirror Room - "The Souls of Millions of Light Years…read moreAway" is located at The Broad in Los Angeles. Tickets are FREE. To visit, you will need to reserve tickets to The Broad's general admission AND the Infinity Mirrored Room exhibit. I feel like if you're already going to The Broad you should also visit the Infinity Mirrored Room. I might be biased since I enjoy taking photos. The tricky thing is that the reservations for the Infinity Mirrored Room are released on the last Wednesdays of each month at 10am for the following month OR you have to keep an eye out for openings the day prior. They are currently not taking same day reservations. The reservations are time specific, but there will still be a 15-20 minute line. You can get in line 10-15 minute prior to your window slot and staff will probably not give you too hard of a time. You are expected to go in together with your group, unless you make reservations separately. If you want to go in alone for that selfie, you should make your own reservation. The maximum group size to enter together is 4 people. Any children under 13 must enter with an adult. Obviously, my boyfriend was dragged to go with me. Before our visit, I was researching what poses to do since the time is so limited. And then when we were in line I gave him a quick run down of the plan. It worked out nicely and we were able to take a few photos, a quick video and still had a few seconds to actually enjoy the art installation beyond the selfie taking purposes. This experience was very special for me. I think the careful planning and taking feedback from others allowed me to enjoy my visit. One minute can go by quick if you wait to get inside the room to coordinate your poses. And coming with someone I care about makes it even more memorable.

Visited Infinity Mirror Room and let me just say... yes, it's stunning. The lights, reflections,…read morethe whole illusion makes you feel like you stepped into another dimension. No complaints about the actual experience itself, it's beautiful and definitely Instagram-worthy. BUT. That wait vs. payoff ratio? Wild. You're standing there forever, building up the moment, just to get ushered in and out in what feels like 60 seconds flat. By the time you're adjusting your camera and telling your family where to stand, it's already "okay time's up." Like... we just got here?? Honestly, I'd rather they charge more and give people a few extra minutes. Let us actually take it in, enjoy it, and get decent photos without feeling rushed like we're on some kind of aesthetic speed run. That said, it is a must-see at least once. Just go in knowing it's more of a quick visual experience than something you can really sit with.

It makes it so much easier when you don't want to commit to just one type of food. I walked around for a bit before deciding what to get, and everything looked fresh and tempting. It's the kind of place where you can try something new every time you come back. Also great if you're with friends and everyone has different cravings. The overall vibe is lively but still comfortable, not too chaotic. It felt easy to just grab food and sit down without any stress. I'd definitely come back here when I want variety and a casual food experience without overthinking it.

Lot of vendors that have a history with the greater LA area, so it avoids the gradual rise of gentrification which can occur with most food halls and markets in the U.S. I like the open air concept where you can just chill inside or outside and enjoy some good food or brews. You could easily hang out here for several hours, but I had a busy day so that couldn't happen for me. Because I was walking distance, it was a must visit. Not sure if I'd drive into here, but do visit if you can get there via public transport.
