Abbott Kinney is only a mile long but there's so much to see. Whenever I'm in Venice, I never miss coming in here and strolling around the neighborhood. So many things to see in here such as checking the small businesses , view the colorful murals and attending pop up events. Also love dining here as there's so many different options as well. Great little street! Change keeps happening restaurants keep opening so please do your due diligence as a local to support your local businesses and those who have established themselves to create longevity within the area. I love how open the area is to street vendors as well as people that come on the weekends in their vans and sell clothing and homemade coffee etc. I've never once had a bad experience on Abbott Kenney. Great area in Venice Beach! Abbot Kinney is a vibrant boulervard with uniques stores and restaurants, art galleries, with a run down, bohemian chic style. It might not be for everyone, but it is a cool spot in LA to explore and walk around, not far from the beach. Great places to meet friends, grab a coffee at along the way, cool shopping area, with lunch and dinner options. There's a Lemonade location here and an Intelligentsia one. Still need to try the Blue Star Donuts. Too many options! I enjoyed their Abbot Kinney festival in September, I am glad it's back after the pandemic, check their site for updates. Can't believe we haven't been to Abbot Kinney until yesterday! Such a fun area in Venice Beach! Parking is a pain if you come late, so be sure to get there early! We were lucky to snag a spot in the neighborhood. The entire stretch of Abbot Kinney Blvd. is filled with unique boutiques and a couple of popular high end brands too. Abbott Kinney is a lovely Street in Venice that spans about 1.5 MI. Parking is not easy but you will find a spot, but mind the meters. On the weekends it can be especially crowded, especially during the summer. It is just as pretty in the winter and I suggest you go then. There's a lot to do and a lot of walking on Abbot Kinney. Now, if you are looking for discount shopping or Cheap Eats go somewhere else. The street is filled with boutiques, art galleries, fine dining restaurants and expensive coffee and tea. Despite the cost it is great fun and if you want something unique you might very well find it. The area is relatively safe and there are few bars which are quite nice. Back to parking: do not go behind the street and find places to park inside the residential area you may find your car stolen when you get back. Stay right on or near Abbot Kinney and you will be fine. The place has gentrified over the years. It used to have little bars, tiny shops and even a few houses, that is no longer the case. But, as locals we have made the best of it and we have learned to love it. You will too. read more

After hanging out at the Venice beach, we decided to hit this street known as "the 'hood's most stylish street. Many boutiques, galleries, spas, cafes, restaurants, bars including familiar faces such as PDX ice cream shop, salt and straw or blue star doughnut. Tortoise general store has many items with Japanese traditional x modern twist, famous coffee shop, intelligentsia is here, The tasting kitchen, run by Casey Lane's from Portland (another PDX!), vegan food + wine bar, and more to offer. They also have first Friday, many food trucks serve their food! Just stroll on the street and check out some shops, have a scoop of ice cream or sit down at the bar and have fun people watching. This is probably one of my favorite places to go strolling with my husband. There's artwork, cute little stores, shops, yummy restaurants. On a good sunny day you can find parking a little bit behind the streets and grab a glass of wine somewhere nearby. You could take a stroll with a bike, or you can just walk around. It's not usually that busy, but like any place on the weekends, you can expect a little bit more foot traffic. We never knew about Abbot Kinney until we visited Shuhari Matcha cafe. Abbot Kinney is a two mile stretch of shops and restaurants in Venice. It's a great place to walk around if you just want to just hang out and maybe shop. There is free parking along the streets and metered parking on the back of the shops. read more

Although the parking sucks, I love all the mom and pops boutique stores in this neighborhood. They are each unique and have the most authentic stuff. The restaurants is one of the reason this street is so popular. Here's where you'll find me at some of my favorite hang out spots on Abbot Kinney. The Panini Garden for brunch. Joe's Restaurant for brunch and dinner. Lilly's for brunch. Lemonade for healthy food, The tasting room and Via Vento for romantic fine dinning. Jin Pastarrie for great breakfast and brunch. Abbot's Pizza for one of the best pizza spot in LA. and, Intelligentsia Coffee & Tea. On your late nights, we stop over at The Other room to have a few drinks and meet up our buds around the hood, head down to Abbot's pizza for a late night bite. And the Nite Spa, for late hours pamper me treatments. Trust me, you'll won't regret the places I mentioned above. On the first Friday of the month, they have a night filled with food trucks on the road. No need to go pay an entrance fee at those Food Truck festivals, get them all here on Friday night! I love coming Abbot Kinney! You will find about a two-mile drive/walk full of shops, restaurants, bars, etc. This is perfect for any tourist or even locals to check out, you really get that Venice feel. Abbot Kinney offers many of the top rated restaurants in Los Angeles. So if you're trying to get the best foodies this is definitely the place. Anything from best breakfast, brunch, best lunches, and best dinner, here is where you will find it. also with restaurants they have the best dessert spots such as ice cream. Since these places are very popular and high in demand I would suggest trying to make reservations. Abbot Kinney also offers different bars/lounges, they have the best drinks and selection in music is very diverse. I don't often take advantage of their shops but I have gone in to explore. They have great handmade jewelry available. Plenty of clothing stores are available for anyone: women, men, kids, pets. They have unique clothing options available you won't find anywhere else. They also have miscellaneous stores such as: skate and surf shops, greeting cards, etc. literally anything you need to find you can find right here. I've also notice that Abbot Kinney has cool art around certain building. They change every so often and usually have them on the side or back of the buildings. Parking is a bit complicated. They do offer street parking but make sure to read warning signs to avoid getting cited. They also have somewhat of a parking a lot parallel to abbot Kinney just behind the business to the east. I don't recall it being meter parking (I think it's free). In addition, I've parking in private lots. I know behind lemonade there is a private lot in the alley (not sure how much they charge). Abbot Kinney also have different events throughout the year. Not sure where you can find this information from (google?) but I know every first Friday of the month they have food truck along Abbot Kinney from 6-12pm. Living nearby, I frequent the street a lot. It's a great place to take friends and visitors for a walk and window shopping. The only problem is that it is filled with overpriced boutiques and foods, but sprinkled in are more reasonably priced places. You just have to watch out because some restaraunts are not even close to being worth the cost. read more

How cliché; I know, but Abbot Kinney is my favorite street in Southern California. Really. I love everything about it, it's variety of amazing stores, shops, restaurants, boutiques, art galleries, and fun stuff that is usually quite expensive. It is home to an Aviator Nation location (there are not that many), an Adidas Originals store, and a Medmen. There is a way cool art gallery next door to Medmen. This is a classic stretch of shops, bars, and eateries that winds its way to Venice Beach- I love going here to wander into boutiques and take pictures of the surroundings. It is definitely becoming more upscale than it used to be, with large company stores coming in- I noticed Hourglass cosmetics was a new addition, there's a TOMS storefront/coffee shop with $9 pressed juices...but there are still shops with more accessible price points that have unique Bohemian-esque finds. I like visiting Ananda, a laidback shop with Buddha trinkets, pretty printed kimonos, relaxed fit tees, delicate necklaces, and other cute giftable items. There are also a few casual places to stop for a quick bite to eat (Lemonade is one) or a fancy coffee (Intelligentsia)- and if you are okay with a short, pleasant walk you can always find parking on the side streets- I love the scent of jasmine wafting in the beach air as I walk to the boulevard! Wow, has this place really changed. Not to brag or anything, but I was coming to Abbot Kinney before it was cool (just saying). It was a totally different street back then. It had so many old antique/vintage shops. One by one they went out of business which was sad but also happy because I got some really great deals. That was about ten years ago. The street wasn't empty but it wasn't crowded. Fast forward to today. This has to be one of the trendiest streets in Los Angeles. What an AMAZING find. There are bars and restaurants galore. There are so many great little shops too. What I really love about these stores is that they aren't the chain stores that you see everywhere but little mom and pop type stores. A lot of the shops seem to be in old houses too like they were converted into a store. It's super cool. This is definitely a place to check out if you are a tourist in LA or even a native who wants somewhere fun to go walking. Great daytime date idea. One small highlight is this new-age bookstore called Mystic Journey. Do you remember the Bodhi tree in West Hollywood? It was epic. It went out of business a few years back. This store totally reminds me of it. New age books and psychics galore. A hippies's little paradise. Only drawback here is the parking. It is really a bummer. Especially on the weekends. Good luck finding a space. However, there is valet parking for the street (yes, you read that right). Leave your worries behind, bring cash, and park there. read more

One of my favorite streets to walk down in Los Angeles! Abbot Kinney has a little bit of everything in terms of cute shops, food, and spas! A lot of unique one off shops are on here even though some bigger stores/chains have started creeping in. Just this year there's been a big turnover of some of the older stores due to skyrocketing rent unfortunately. It's still a great place to spend a few hours shopping, eating and just chilling out! The shops here all have pretty unique items and it's a good place to find a gift for someone or a great new shirt. Some shops are pretty pricey thought while others are pretty on budget. Take a walk down the street and you'll quickly figure out which stores will leave your bank account dry and which will keep you going. A few highlights of shops I love very very much here. BURRO KIDS Cutest little kid store ever with clothing and a ton of toys for babies to almost pre-teen. I love coming in here to see what they have. They do a great job of bringing in unique gift items that are crafty, fun and just plain cute. GJELINA TAKEOUT If you can't eat at Gjelina or don't want to drop all your money, then GTA is a good option. They have sandwiches, pizzas, desserts, etc all ready for you to grab and nosh on. No seating area though other than the side alley area where there are smooshed milk crates and some small low benches. URBANIC Great place for a cute card and some paper gifts! The people who work here are always really nice and friendly and their store front is always very enticing. TORTOISE I could spend hours in here and I regularly came to this store. Not only are there all sorts of Japanese made quality goods in the store, in the back is a gallery area. If I'm stressed out the gallery is where I beeline to chill since they always have a nice aroma diffused and relaxing music playing. It's also shielded from the busy noisy street which in Venice is rare. They have so much good stuff in this store that I always want to buy everything! ZENBUNNI This is a little hidden gem on Abbot Kinney that most people don't find! You have to find a sign to lead you to the back of a building where Zenbunni is in a small area. The place is tiny, really just a counter and a tiny room behind it but they've made it look like they carved it out from a tree. It's pretty amazing to see and their chocolate is delicious. One tiny little piece is so intense it will last quite a while and linger. read more

I left you for seven years to live in Seattle and I come back and you are all tarted up and infested with "crabs." I was looking forward to moving back to your artsy and eclectic streets and now I will have to forsake you as you have forsaken me. I weep and tears fall down my crestfallen face. The Venice art walk on Abbot Kinney on May 7, 2010 was light on the art and walking since it was overcrowded the peeps focused more on drinking, eating and shopping than enjoying good art. This used to be my old stomping grounds and I was looking forward to seeing my old neighborhood cleaned up. Urgh....it lost it charm and character in its gentrification. I mean, I am glad that commerce has picked up and Abbott Kinney is lively but it's to the point of obnoxiousness. Maybe I am biased. I loved my old Venice. Seeing it so so LA just broke my heart. I will definitely not be moving back to this part of the city, as much as I want to be by the beach. Abbot Kinney is even cuter than I remembered. I love all the boutiques, funky stores, kids clothing, restaurants, fancy coffee shops, spiritual book store, gardening classes, ice cream, bakery, organic juice, etc... This is a great place to stroll around and spend a few hours. My hubby and I lost track of time and had to hurry home to relieve our babysitter. I have only eaten at Lemonade and Abbot Kinney Pizza. There seems to be a whole bunch of new, busy busy busy restaurants. I love Lemonade for a quick, healthy and affordable bite. The salad pizza at Abbot Kinney is worth getting for another quick and cheap eat. We have always been able to find free parking, but we are willing to walk a few blocks. Bottom Line: This upscale part of Venice is worth checking out! read more

I hate to spoil the lovefest, but AK, while it has one plus (there are some very interesting non-apparel stores), has a bunch of minuses. The parking situation is horrendous. The street gets crowded and parts of it are a little sketchy (it's still Venice, folks). The crowd has an annoying LA rich young pretentious trust-fund hipster vibe, and the apparel stores definitely cater to them - if you have $800 to blow on a jacket, this is your place. Makes for good people-watching for a bit, but it gets old quick. Main St. in Santa Monica is better, way better. read more

Abbot Kinney is my favorite area in Venice next to the boardwalk. A friend of my calls those two places the yin and yang of Venice. The boardwalk is grimy, overrun with tourists, and a lot of fun, if you like that kind of thing (which I do) and Abbot Kinney is ritzy artsy as another friend of mine calls that particular area. If you walk both places on the same day you'll get a wide variety of experiences from watching a guy threatening to jump into glass shards from a chair on the boardwalk to some of the finest food on the West Side on Abbot Kinney along with a picturesque scenery of high-end​ shops, beautiful people, and an atmosphere of the Westside bubble that some people love and others despise. I recommend checking out both places, you may hate it, you may love it, but you'll definitely not be bored. read more

This place is great - quaint houses that double as hip shops, unique shops, and plenty of places to eat! I saw some lots that charged to park and some parking meters, but we were able to find parking in this lot behind Intelligensia! It was free parking for 8 hours, hooray for saving money! I believe there is another lot behind the shops that offers free parking as well, so try going there first and only pay for parking as a last resort! We had to drive a while before a spot open up, but it was worth it not paying for parking. They do street sweeping the first Tuesday of every month from 10am-12pm, so be careful not to park on the street! I saw an officer assigning tickets left and right, so try to stay clear until after 12 if you plan on parking on the street! I loved walking though all the one of a kind shops! There's a pet store, a bunch of cute boutiques, an ice cream place, stores that carry adorable stationary, and even an art gallery. Check out the art gallery, it's free! Tons of interesting art. Stores were mostly expensive, but it was nice to window shop and there were some good deals going on. Overall a really cool block, I would definitely recommend coming here and soaking up the sun on a beautiful day if you are in the area! read more

I think it's changed a lot even in the last 8 months since I was last there. As far as neighborhoods go in LA, though, I think this is a sweet, funky little spot. I had a great time taking pictures of all the cool shops and the funky little cottages- some of the houses have been turned into businesses, some are art galleries, some are still homes. This area is where you want to bring someone from out of town. This place hosts a lot of creative people so if you are an artist or someone who likes inspirational things, this is a nice place to go. There is a good amount of street parking here, come early and you will have no problems, come late and you might have some. We came in the afternoon and after about 5 minutes of deriving, we got a spot, not too bad. Abbot Kinney is an area with great food, art and boutique stores that have some really good stuff. Four sigmatic, lemonade, Erewhon are among my favorite places to go in. Walking along this road you'll see various pieces of art of the walls, its always fun to see instagrammers taking pictures, or stop and take some for yourself. The bad thing about this area is that it is expensive. Be prepared to pay whether you are getting food, groceries, clothes....all of the stuff is high end here. Even if you're only window shopping, it is a really nice place to come for the day. read more
