November 17, 2017 Friday night, Holiday In The Park located on Magnolia Blvd between Hollywood Way and Buena Vista.
What a fun night to walk the streets of Burbank in Magnolia Park. Almost every store was open late, giving out free samples, showcasing there stores and all their goods. What a great way to get on the holiday spirit while getting to know the small businesses along Magnolia Blvd.
The city of Burbank shut down the boulevard with barriers, allowing the large groups of people to walk freely and safely from one side of the street to the other. Other local businesses not on Magnolia had booths down the center of the boulevard.
There were bounce houses, games, snow, bubbles, photo opportunities, face painting, animal balloons, dancing, choirs, Santa, Frosty, Princesses.. Even Krampus!
Food trucks were located on every side street. Restaurants were open for business. Porto's was passing out free treats and coffee. The Burbank Fire Department and Police Department had some vehicles for kids and adults to check out.
There really was so much! We had a great time! Definitely wore out!
It was a little dark in some spots and would recommend for future years to bring a flash light...especially the porta potty's! (which I didn't use but felt were really dark). Wear comfortable shoes! There's a lot of walking and some uneven surfaces! Bring cash -small bills for raffles and food trucks. Dress up and be fun! Saw several people with light up necklaces, seasonal costumes, fun hats, etc! And HAVE FUN!
I think Burbank and the local businesses did a great job putting together a fun and mostly free holiday event for our city! Thank you for the fun night! I know have a few stores I'm looking forward to revisiting for "Small Business Saturday!" read more
