Chandler Murals is a path for pedestrians and bikers between Vineland Ave. and Cahuenga Blvd., on Chandler.
It's a nice addition to the area, a cool idea, to create a more vibrant look of an area that's a bit more industrial, with warehouses around.
Most of the murals are on one side, but there are a few on the other one, mainly focusing on the history of the San Fernando valley with its orange groves, a travel back in time to showcase some film history and cool landmarks of North Hollywood (El Portal Theater).
I was a bit confused walking on the path, trying to figure out which was the lane for pedestrians, which is the bike lane. The path for pedestrian is kinda small, that'd be my only complaint. There are some artist lofts alongside, a couple of antique store, furniture stores, cool places if you want to pop in, check them out. At the end of the path there's The Iliad Bookstore, so this is a good way to spend a low-key morning or afternoon exploring a bit of North Hollywood, get some walking in, admire some cool street art, check a few local stores out.
Chandler Murals brings vibrancy to the area. In the urban jungle, any portion of the city that brings art into our daily life and creates a path where people can exercise and enjoy the outdoors is a positive outcome in my book. We need more of it! read more
