I have lived in glen Ellen for years and rarely needed to use the laundromat until this year, as I was supposed to have laundry in my new apartment and don't... not important! Anywho! I have been coming to this FAMILY OWNED laundromat for the last 8 months after a lifetime of driving past and I was blown away!!! It is so spotless perfect clean, quick and effective washers and dryers. All up to date machines. Bonus - it is in the cutest ever down town glen Ellen village. I mentioned earlier, it is family owned. One time I went in and the change machine was out, I called the number it was the owners daughter!! She popped right over and solved the problem. Even gave me an epic pasta salad recipe!!! I mean you cannot make this up. If I lived out of Glen Ellen id still bring my clothes here - grade A. Side bar -- While your clothes dry you can pop over to the jack London lodge for an ice cold beer or soda pop. Don't drink? Me either - you can pop to the les pascals bakery for the best hazelnut latte of your life and croissant. Need to get groceries for the night or week???? Glen Ellen village market is right across the street.

I've been doing laundry here for several years, but my most recent experience deserves recognition…read more I tried this laundromat once way back when it was the old Wash Board Laundromat and never went back. Since the new owner took over a few years ago, I've had nothing but good experiences. Many washer sizes to choose from and broken machines are always repaired quickly. You can pay either using cash with multiple change machines available, or you can download the ap. The change machine gives change in $1coins and you can change the $1 coins into quarters using the main change machine closest to the front door. Although there is no employee on site, there are signs posted with a phone number to call for any questions or concerns. I soon found out that this phone number is the personal cell phone for the owner, who responded to my concerns almost immediately both times I had to call. The first issue was last year when a washer had an error code halfway through the cycle and wouldn't drain, leaving my clothes locked in the washer. I called the number and the owner (Paul) answered immediately and walked me through a remedy, even giving a refund for the washer use. The second issue happened last week when my $20 got stuck in the change machine without giving change. Paul again immediately returned my call and quickly offered a refund check to be mailed to my address. I received the check less than a week later and was impressed with Paul's empathy and follow-through on his word. As a single mom without a washer in my home, the cost of doing laundry is a staple in my budget. Having a clean, well-lit laundromat to go is a priority, but the great customer service here is a benefit that is not always offered these days. Additionally, the couple that clean the laundromat before closing each night are really sweet. I often see them bringing their young children, who also help to clean and close the facility. They are really good parents, who are teaching their children respect and hard work. Although it's a bit of a drive to bring my laundry here, I won't go anywhere else. Yes, the prices have gone up over the years, but this is in accordance with the cost of living everywhere. This owner genuinely cares about his clientele, and we need more local business owners like him.

You can choose from a variety of sizes, depending on how big of a load/s you have . They have options of how you can pay which is nice. Use an app or use coins. I chose to use the app. It makes it super easy! They also have a coin machine if you need coins. There is a beverage, food, and laundry supplies vending machines too. Free WiFi as well! I would highly recommend this clean, safe, and tidy laundromat any time I have a problem with my own machines!

Parking: They have parking lot but you'll need to pay. Hours: Open everyday Monday to Sunday from 6am to 10pm. Last wash is around 8:45pm. Vibe: It's chill. Never had a bad experience. People come in, do their laundry and then wait either in their car or the available seats at the front. Note: Make sure to put a timer on your phone if you're going to wait in your car. Be respectful and make sure you take your stuff out right away cause people are waiting to use the machine. Oh and when you walk in, washers are on the right and dryers are on the left. Tip: Bring your own liquid soap so you don't have to pay or buy at this location. You could also go to Safeway across the street and buy detergent. Here's how it works: 1. Load your clothes or items in the washer (right), put soap at the top, tap your card, select water temperature and then press start. 2. Once that's done, then move your stuff to the dryers. Tap your card, select the temperature then press start. 3. Then you're done. Don't forget to clean up after yourself especially if you're washing pet stuff or shoes in the machines.

I also like the fact that it's quarters and not tokens. During the day, the owner (Asian guy) is always there cleaning up. At night time there's a Spanish lady that is steady cleaning and wiping things down, sweeping. Taking care of the place. A sight I like to see. They have a hand washing sink all the way in the back, soap is usually super low The place is kinda old school or whatevaaa, the machines that is. So what it gets the job done. I've never had to wait to start a load, there's plenty washers . I don't like how they only have one large load machine right in the front of the house. You see many different types of people come and go. Many families if you go on the weekend. They don't have many chairs for you to sit and wait, the soap machine is from 1969 LOL just bring your own soap is what I'm saying. I've never had anything stolen, like I have at other laundromats, I am not nervous or intimidated to come wash here. You may seem homeless people around but hey they need to wash too right! I recommend bringing a rag or something to wipe down your washer before you use it. I mean maybe I'm just a clean freak so do you baby, do you!

Not sure if it was due to the day prior or earlier that morning. The interior space looks run down. I was expecting for this place to have upgraded washer and dryer machines overall due to its location. There is newspaper everywhere. Laundry clothes that gets left behind sits along old newspapers/ads or on folding tables. Location: Next to Mountain Mikes Pizza and Safeway. Coin Only Machines. Bring cash. There is a change machine available inside. No staff onsite. There is a complaint box / return in the back of the building. Washer Machines: The interior smelled like mold. Most washers soap dispensers had soap residue or spilled soap. I walked around to checkout other 3 load washers, but they were all pretty much the same. Be sure to wipe the interior of the washer. You can probably come across "hairs" inside washer. 2 loads @ 3.75 3 load didn't bother 1 load didn't bother Dryers: Regular dryers - 6 min/ 25 cents Express Dryers 4 min/ 25 cents Laundry Supplies: They have a soap stop vending machine. Laundry Carts: Available. Seating is located in the front of the entry way. There are only 6 seats. The price was reasonable the dryer and washers did their job. This laundromat is off my list.
