Made a reservation and came here for brunch on a Saturday morning. The restaurant was busy but we were seated right away. We ordered the lobster eggs Benedict, pea meal bacon eggs Benedict and the OG. I found the lobster a bit too bland in this dish since it was overpowered by the hollandaise sauce so you couldn't really taste the lobster. The pea meal eggs benny was pretty standard. My mom wanted to go out to dinner for Valentine's Day and wanted to try this restaurant. We were expecting the wait time to be a while, given that it's Valentine's Day and it's evening. To our surprise, we only waited 25 minutes to be seated, so far so good. We sat down, looked over the menu and placed our orders. I got the Hokkaido Scallop Risotto and my mom got the Crazy Wavy Gravy Striploin. Again, we expected to wait a little while for food, but we did not expect to wait 45 minutes for it. The 2 tables beside us got seated after us and yet they got their apps and drinks before us. After waiting 45 minutes for our food, it was room temperature so I asked to send it back. When we got our food back, to our disappointment, it seemed like they just microwaved it. The presentation was worse than when we first got it, the steak was supposed to be medium rare, but it ended up being way overcooked. The fact that they already shortened the menu specifically for Valentine's Day just makes you question why it took so long to prepare the food and why was it cold by the time it got to our table? They didn't seem that busy when we were seated and ordered our food, so it just makes you wonder. As for the risotto, it was ok, nothing special. Just tasted like mac n cheese. Fried chicken egg waffle has no black sesame flavour at all, the batter is kind under cooked/ still wet on the wedges. Far off for a typical HK style egg waffle in comparison. We spoke to the waiter about this. The response was that's how it supposed to be/ normal. :( That's not acceptable in my opinion! Also tried the OG crazy wavy gravy that's not bad but not good. The food was delicious, the presentation was beautiful and there were a lot of options on the menu. The decor was lovely, it definitely had a fancy vibe, great excuse to dress up a bit for brunch. The waitress was very nice and friendly but it took a little bit long for someone to take our order, I guess because the place gets really busy during the weekends. We were there on a Saturday. We had to make reservations and they gave us only 1.5 hrs to be there. For me the time was enough because I was with my husband and kids but if you're planning to meet a friend to catch up and have a long chat, this place is not for you. I went here with my friend and had a great time. Shrimps and grits were really good. First time was great so I wanted to bring my family back. I called at 6 pm today and asked if I needed a reservation to come around 8-9 pm this night. The person on the phone was lovely and said yes no need to worry, it's usually not that busy and I can if I want call half an hour before to ensure I have a waitlist time so I don't have to wait when I get there. She was great. Then I called at 8 pm and the subsequent person was very very rude. They mentioned last call at 8:45 even though there's a 9 pm reservation time and on top of that, they said even if I come right that instant, she can only fit 2 ppl instead of the 4 I requested and was very curt about it. Additionally before I called, I actually called twice and she hung up on me without saying anything. It was only the third time I even got to speak to someone and they were so rude. I'll never come back and I will not recommend this place to any of my friends or family ever. Service means more than the food. Food wasn't that great enough to have that kind of rudeness and disrespect. read more

Went here for brunch around 12pm on a weekday with some friends. Restaurant itself was beautiful and very aesthetic pleasing, and were seated immediately. Negative Experience to say the least! I called to make a reservation for my mom's 85th Birthday two months in advance for 24ppl. they were willing to accommodate and told us they would give us the back room and the last seating so we wouldn't be rushed. I asked if we could bring a cake and balloons and set up early and the receptionist told me no problem. The day comes, the receptionist was rude and we and waited in the foyer which is very tiny for more than 15min! It was a very loud and a hot day with no air conditioning! The back room is NOT meant for 24 ppl unless you want to be packed in like sardines! The waitress did her best to accommodate however not one manager came in to check on the party which was VERY disappointing! we were sat down late and rushed to order and told we needed to be out by 5pm as that was dinner hour which we were not told when I booked! The whole experience was less than satisfactory! I will NOT recommend or go back to this establishment again. The food also mediocre nothing to rave about! read more

I came here with my friends for lunch and we had a wonderful experience! The service was excellent! Our server was enthusiastic and explained the menu clearly to us! The food is a bit on the pricier end depending on what you choose, but it's worth the price! It's better to call and make reservations first because the line up is long. We made reservations beforehand so we didn't have to wait and got our seats immediately. I brought my toddler with me and they were really kind about seating arrangements for my son and making sure he's comfortable where he's at. I ordered the matcha latte with oat milk and the flavour is alright- no different than other places for matcha drink. We shared the ube pancake and it was really delicious. The pancakes were fluffy and buttery with just the right amount of ube sauce/paste. I ordered the short ribs benny and the meat was flavourful! I found the home fries to be a little too salty though. Food was excellent! After COVID, the food quality of Glass Kitchen was a nice surprise. We had way better service from the manger than the waitress though. The waitress showed up after 10 mins of waiting at our table, then took our orders and only came by when I asked for the bill, didn't check on us or top up our water glass throughout the dinner. If you are hungry and expecting food right away, then you will be disappointed. We waited 30 mins for our main courses after finished the appetizers. The environment is casual, the tables are quite close to each other, we heard the whole conversations from the other tables beside us. Our fave was the ube pancake as the pancake itself was buttery crispy and fluffy all in one bite, the hamachi was also really good (not really brunch) but such a unique flavor combo. Chicken and waffle I couldn't really taste the black sesame but still overall pretty good especially the chicken. The Alaska dessert was cool too if you like sorbet and meringue, the passionfruit that came with it offered a nice balance between sweet and sour.
