Come to find out this was an extra 10$ for callous removal. At check out I shared that I was disappointed that she didn't massage my legs. And the owner rushed out to show me a video of her rubbing lotion on my legs and said that she did massage me! My daughter lives here and goes here all the time with no problems. I'm not that hard to please and enjoy a good leg massage at my pedicure appointments. I was really upset that they didn't apologize or take ownership for their customer satisfaction.

Some are just not friendly, ridiculously overpriced or the vibe is just off. For that reason I have been putting off doing my nails for months while trying to do them myself but it honestly is just not the same. J nails is located in the town center next to the UPS store & it is actually a big salon suite, meaning when you walk in there are other independent salon owners in there so I had to ask someone if they knew "J nails" and I was pointed to the right direction. Here I am thinking I was going to be able to walk into a salon and possibly do a "walk in" appt but it is actually just Jolyn here in her private nail studio. Luckily, she was finishing up a client and said she can take me after. Very sweet & a true nail artist. I love the private vibes in here. I am pretty picky about my nails and let me tell you... I am so happy & lucky to have found her! Her work speaks for itself, beautifully crafted & she gives amazing hand massages. If you try to call & you don't get an answer, keep in mind she is her own boss so might be busy with a client, send her a text with the service you're interested in and availability. The past few times I've had the woman that is at station 4 (whose name has totally escaped me) and she is fantastic. I often work with c-level executives/attend professional events and do a lot of typing so I don't like anything too bold or long on my nails. She does the perfect shape for me every time! I've also seen some really fun, intricate nail designs on other guests so, basically-- no matter what you're looking for, they've got you covered. I've even started getting my brows done here and have never been disappointed - I had a few bad eyebrow experiences at other nail salons in the past but never here. All of their services are reasonably priced and I've never had to wait. I do typically call ahead to make sure they are available but, so far, I've never had to wait longer than 30 minutes before heading over. Plus, they're conveniently located next to Sprouts and a really cute coffee shop so it's a perfect place to go before weekend errands or after coffee with friends.

She significantly filed down the gel polish on my nails when I walked in and soaked them but it left a discoloration on my nails so I had to go darker on the main nail coat. That was not fully her fault though. The tips were still a bit too thick for me but acceptable for my length of nails currently. The salon was clean and staff was friendly. The manicure overall was average but I did appreciate her doing an extra coat for me.

I've never paid so much for a gel pedicure, let alone the worst one I've ever had - one that I had to immediately go home and fix. When one part of a pedicure goes poorly, it's very much forgivable. A bad polish. A nicked cuticle. Etc. But when all of it happens, you leave upset that you spent your very limited alone time there. I've never had a pedicure where I had to ask for the nails to be corrected to be straight instead of crooked. I've never had a nail tech completely miss a nail entirely. I've never had a nail tech not clean under the nails. Or not trim the corners. I've never had my gel polish lift after less than 24 hours. I know some people go get their nails done to socialize, but some of us go because we are busy moms who need 45 minutes of indulgence and peace-- you won't find that here. It was high energy, a lot of loud chatter, and the movie Hustlers. If it wasn't the most expensive pedicure I've ever had, I think I'd be a little more forgiving. But I wasted my time, and my money. If you have new techs learning, that's fine. But don't charge $75 then pressure to tip. Luckily I was able to even things out at home myself, but what a disappointment :( Won't be back, unfortunately. With their customer service and hustle, I really wish I could support their business.
