We came here on a weekend day in the early afternoon and there was a line but it moved pretty quickly so this place is popular. We each ordered a Fluffy Raised Donut with hot pink frosting and sprinkles on it since it was the month of February around Valentines Day. The donuts tasted amazing and very fresh. I could have easily eaten two. They had clean plates we used and had a decent amount of seating. We had our young kids with us and they enjoyed the donuts as well. The only minor issue was they accidentally charged us for the wrong order and I think they did that with a few other folks in line since it was busy and they lost track of who ordered what but they were able to fix it pretty quickly. Love Glam Doll! They have so many options for donuts AND vegan donuts - that are actually good! My favorite is the Femme Fatale (FF). So sad that they stopped making it vegan. What a perfect location to celebrate national donut day. Every customer was greeted with a free donut and very friendly customer service helpers. The donuts were fabulous, I was a tiny bit, disappointed that all of the specialty PRINCE donuts were sold out, but I'm assuming that's because they're so good. I'm told that a few years ago, Glam Doll was all the rage and regularly had lines out the door for their donuts. I'm not seeing it. I stopped by last weekend for donuts based on a friend's recommendation, someone who had been here a few years ago and remembered liking it. I was in town with one of my kids, so we got to Glam Doll around 9:30 AM expecting a line. In a sign of the times for Glam Doll, not only was there no line, there was only one couple inside at a table. We ordered three donuts: a Sugar Kane, a Calendar Girl, and a Darling. I think this equated to a glazed, a chocolate frosted, and a chocolate frosted with caramel. None of the three were great...in fact, we tossed two of these donuts after just a couple bites, then tried to sneak out before anyone noticed that we were essentially throwing the food away. Friendly people, very fair prices ($2-$3.75/donut, which is on par for the prices of donuts in Chicago), I didn't mind the space. But if you are looking for a good donut, I highly encourage you to go elsewhere. read more

I was on the search for a sweet treat near the Minneapolis Institute of Art and Google Maps helped me find this spot. Its pink storefront and glam logo are adorable, and the interior is just as cute--a vintage, retro diner feel. We ordered a very small (6) custom donuts with 2 colors. We had a terrible time dealing with Arwyn. Besides being unnecessarily rude, She immediately tried to charge us double due to our order being for a "special occasion" in her opinion We went to pick them up only to have almost nothing on the donut and the wrong colors and letters. Traditional and vegan donuts in a small vintage themed shop. Location of shop is in a very odd neighborhood. As if it doesn't belong here. Walking in on a Sunday morning 8am was not busy at all. Parking was easy on street side. Food: Donuts were good. We could tell they are homemade. Both traditional and vegan. Ordered Femme Fatal (vanilla with jelly fill), Kandy Kane (original glaze), and half dozen vegan assortment. I had the vegan Boston creme filled donut and it was not as sweet as I thought it would be. It was fine. The vegan vanilla and chocolate iced with sprinkles were very dense for a yeast donut. The vegan donuts were not as airy as I hoped they would be. They were less sweet as a typical donut but the icing was very sweet. Chai latte and oat milk vanilla latte. Total cost $38 with tip included. Better deals if you buy half or whole dozen. Shop: Quaint and well themed. Eclectic collection of things on the wall and in the shop. Not cozy. Not modern. Very vintage and extra used worn out furniture. Customer service was satisfactory. I might return if in the neighborhood. I have a sweet tooth and all these donuts are overly sweet. I ate half of a handful and left the rest to eat that night. By night time, they were not good. Their vegan donuts are to die for (they are one of the few donut shops in the entire metro that makes vegan donuts), and are some of the best vegan donuts I've had anywhere (and they have an awesome selection too). I've never had their regular donuts, but my family loves them. They also make fairly good coffee drinks on the side. The staff here is super nice; even with our young child making noise and running around, they are always friendly and accommodating, and they remember us (and many others) when we come back. Glam Doll used to be a frequent stop for us when we lived closer. I was in the area for a MIA exhibit and decided to stop in. The Dark Angel has always been a favorite. Updating my review based on my latest experience. I placed a preorder for a birthday party and the process was easy, but the donuts were stale. My friend asked "are these from Holiday?" (for those who don't know, that's a gas station...) I said "no these cost $50..." I am wondering if they made these donuts the day I placed the order, which was almost a week before the selected pickup. They were very stale, dry and hardly any sprinkles compared to the pics advertised (see pic).
