My wife and I went to Guiseppe's for dinner this past weekend. It's a fun local spot that's tucked away in the back of a strip mall. There's a great patio seating area as well as indoor seating. The complimentary focaccia was tasty and my wife enjoyed the red wines she tried. We split the Napa salad and the pasta with vodka sauce. The portions were great and we were both full even though we split. Our server was friendly and helpful. Appreciated that I was able to call and make a reservation so we had a table waiting for us. One of the absolute worst experiences of my life! Never again will I go to this establishment. The owners should be absolutely ashamed. Hostesses intentionally hitting their guests with high chairs, failing to have a table ready for a reservation made, leaving us stand in the middle of the restaurant as two staff members fought about where to sit us. Tried to sit a family of five, including a highchair at a two top, failing to provide water, plates and silverware, had to go up to the bar to simply get a drink, several times. Waitresses ignoring their tables. Sat a table right on top of my 8 months granddaughter. Squishing her between the high chair and the table. WE SHOULD HAVE PRESSED CHARGES AGAINST THE STAFF AT THIS POINT!!! Waitresses calling guests names and cursing at them. It was absolutely disgusting! The bartender was the ONLY GOOD THING.... POOR DUDE WAS HOLDING UP THE ENTIRE RESTAURANT. Brother please find a better establishment that knows and treats you as good as you are.... Giuseppe's is not it!!!!! Very good, make a reservation on a Friday or Saturday night. They have heaters outside but it wasn't any match for the wind that blew through the little corridor during the winter. read more

YELP REVIEW 10-20-2025:Giussepi's on Oracle: We arrived at 5:15 pm, on Monday October 20, 202, and were seated outside, during their Happy Hour. There was one male and one female server. We were served water and bread by her. We asked our female server for grated Parmesan cheese for the Italian olive oil and balsamic vinegar, for the bread, two straws and lemons for our water. She didn't return for 10 minutes and forgot our simple requests. During this time, there were 6 other separate groups of guests that arrived after us and she began taking their orders, without asking us if we wanted something, other than water and bread basket. We finally asked the male server for assistance. Our server eventually returned and took our order of the Napa Salad, to split, and two (2) orders of the steamed mussels. After waiting another ten minutes, we received our salads, by the male server, who we asked for the Parmesan cheese. No one was concerned about busing our table, before bringing more food items. We continued to wait for our two orders of mussels after we finished our salads. My wife went inside the restaurant and informed the male server that we hadn't received the mussels. By now, 40 minutes had passed, after we arrived. After another 10 minutes our female server brought us only one (1) serving of the mussels. We decided that there was no point in waiting for the other order of mussels, since our dining experience was a total waste of our time and money. They have the best and reasonably priced Italian food around Tucson ! The brothers Josh and Israel who own the restaurant have taken over where Joe Scordato, has given them the recipes, and they have made a terrific family restaurant work. Israel was the Iron Chef winning from Hacienda Del Sol and Joshua the manager here for Joe Scordato. They have terrific Eggplant Parmagiana and stuffed mushrooms. We were there at 4pm and it was not busy. We were seated right away and 5 minutes later we gave our drink order. We could see the bar and the bar tender was not making any drinks. He was doing his glasses and wandered to the kitchen came back at least 5 minutes later and our waitress did not seem concerned. She was chatting away. After waiting about 15 minutes and us getting ready to leave, she went to the bar and 2 minutes standing there got out drinks. We ordered our food and received our food about 15 minutes later. My husbands pizza was bland and had 2 pieces of cheese. My pizza was OK. We were very disappointed. We had tried this place about a year ago. We won't go back. read more

A quick Yelp check revealed this is no sleepy Italian restaurant. It's located in a large, aging, strip mall, tucked away in the corner. Its easy to find in the center, just follow the white string lights leading to a nice pathway to the outdoor dining area. We ordered; Penne with sausage (huge portion), Cannelloni, and Pesto pasta salad on greens. We had a nice house chianti. The menu is limited but touches all the bases. There were no specials on our night, I'm not sure what they do other nights. Tiramisu (huge) and a Cannoli (2) finished the evening. Both were called "house made". Everything hit a good note for us. Well cooked food and presented nicely. Nice service. I think our server was newish but he worked hard and never forgot about us. Not a lot of Italian choices in Tucson and even less at the mid-price range. When we are in the area it will be on our list. It should be on yours too. read more

Went here for happy hour. The minestrone soup was very good and the Italian salad also. The one complaint I have is that the online happy hour menu prices were lower than what they were in the restaurant. I asked the waitress about it and her response was less than satisfactory. She said they haven't updated it because they didn't have access because they forgot the password. This is a very lame excuse. To be fair we have noticed that several restaurants we have been to lately have lower prices on their website than when you get there. Maybe it's just business as usual these days. read more

I have not been here in so long, but a few friends wanted to come and so we met them. Everything seemed pleasant upon arrival, and I was shocked to remember just how small the inside of the restaurant is. Outside there's a great patio, but not for July at least for me! (In fact, when we left it was a gentleman setting up for live music!) I will begin by saying, the service here was just not up to par. First off, we never got any bread until the food arrived as they kept telling us it was being baked. Then I had to flag down the waiter just to get butter. We also had a flag him down to get our drinks refilled. Our friends said how sweet the server was... But in my opinion, he wasn't the best at getting things out to us. I had eggplant Parmesan and a caprice salad that I shared with my partner. The caprice was beautiful in presentation. But nothing on it had any flavor; the tomatoes were flat, lack luster with no robust flavor and I couldn't even detect any basil at all. The eggplant Parmesan was pretty tasty, but the marinara sauce that came on the spaghetti was sour and could have used a little fresh herbs - - again my opinion. Our guests had a Cesar salad, a bowl of spaghetti, and chicken with risotto, and a sauce . They had no complaints about their food. Finally we shared spumoni and a slice of custard pie. The pie was on the dry side and the spumoni in my opinion was pretty tasty, but my partner didn't care for it much at all. So overall, I will come back and give it another shot because the servers were all friendly and came by often. The gentleman outside was very friendly and invited us back! But I will say that both my partner and I had funky tummies that night. I'm not sure if it was the grease that the egg plant was fried in or just the over sour red sauce on the spaghetti. read more

We are here on my husband's business trip for the week. I came across this on Yelp as it sits very close to our hotel. We sat at the bar on a Monday night after being greeted right away at the door. I was disappointed we missed happy hour but ran late as it looked great. Our bartender was busy but got our drinks quickly and answered our questions. I had read that the portions were big. Not a lie! We shared a bowl of Minestrone soup which was HUGE and delicious! I'll enjoy it tomorrow for lunch. We chose the Pollo Bolognese over angel hair pasta instead of rice. Loved it. I've heard s many good things about this place! So, it's Mother's Day. My mom wanted pasta. So I go online and look up the menu. Their menu online is woefully inadequate! I asked to order lasagna and shrimp scampi. They don't have lasagna so the bar tender reccomended something else similar, good. She said 45 minutes. I got there right about 5 min late. I went to the bar, as instructed. She said my order wasn't ready. 20 minutes later she says that they must have given my order to someone in house. She's very sorry. So, about 30 minutes later she comes back with a bag of food, i payed, and left. When I got home, we opened the bag, took out the food, and one of the little boxes had 4 small congealed shrimp. When I called them back, the same bartender answered. She said that shrimp scampi was an appetizer. WHAT!? I PAID $9.99 FOR 4 COLD, OLD, SHRIMP?! AND I WAITED 2 HOURS FOR IT?!
