We visited Giuseppe's for dinner on a Friday night, based on the reviews. This was the best place to get Italian food on the strip in Lake George. The place is OK as far as the ambience it's pretty no-frills. We ordered mozzarella sticks for appetizers and they came with paper plates, which was surprising, the taste of the mozzarella sticks was fine, you can tell they were not freshly made on site. At least that's my opinion. We ordered chicken Parmesan shrimp, pasta, Alfredo, and chicken pasta Alfredo with broccoli. All of the entrées were served on glass, which was a plus, I was afraid it would be on paper, the taste of everything was very good. All of the entrées came with a dinner roll. The only issue we had was that the sauce and the Alfredo was excessive. The pasta was swimming in it. I would go to Giuseppe's again and I would order the same food, but I would tell them light on the Alfredo sauce, our waiter was very nice and everything was served promptly. The only other complaint I have is that the room in the back is absolutely freezing and we asked if the air could be turned down and we were told no there was another family that was seated after us that had the same complaint and they did turn off the air conditioning and that one area, good overall experience. read more

Just OK- average. We got two slices of pizza ($2.80) and 2 fountain drinks ($3.50!!!!!?) and fried calamari (~$14). I don't understand why the fountain drinks costed so much- they were not even bottled and mostly ice in the cup. Fried calamari was kind of tasteless and really small portion for $14. This place was A-OK, nothing special or noteworthy, but nice service and decent food. We stopped in as we both had a hankering for a calzone. I got the meatballs, mushrooms and peppers. The calzone itself was good, nothing standout but solid, the marinara was a bit disappointing though, very small amount and did not seem high quality like I expect from an Italian place, maybe I am spoiled by too many good local ones, but it was watery, flavorless and in small quantity. The food outstanding the service impeccable there is nothing I could say that is negative about this place. I went with a group of 12 30yr olds and the waiter/bartender Ken was OUTSTANDING I can't even fully describe it. We ordered a whole bunch of apps and pizza and he never skipped a beat. He was nice recommended a lot of things and when he came buy with some wine and drink samples there is no other way to make a group of us happy then drinks. He states he made it him self and we bought some rounds and they were amazing highly recommended the Apple Long Island. Now this is just some personal recommendations not to effect my score I wish there was more garlic in the "garlic knots". We were greeted right away & sat at a nice corner table on the patio. Our server came to our table within minutes to introduce herself & get us our drinks. We ordered mozzarella sticks & an antipasto for appetizers & they were excellent! For dinner we opted for a pizza & I'm glad we did. The pizza was so good came to the table hot & cooked to perfection! All of the food comes out, incredibly hot and very quickly. Very enjoyable restaurant experience. We also really enjoyed their old-school Italian music that was playing on the patio! Our server was absolutely amazing checking on us every chance she got. We decided to give this restaurant a shot as we were staying at a nearby hotel. Upon reaching the hostess we greeted us and told us the wait was 15 mins. We decided to wait and was able to get in around 20 mins later. Nice open, spacious seating area. Wait staff were very nice. Food was great but drinks well, not happy. Two drinks we ordered we watered down. Mind you I don't even drink often and I couldn't even taste he alcohol lol. My wife had to order a shot of tequila to add it to her drink. Overall the food, ambiance and wait staff were nice but they really need to provide decent cocktails and not be so cheap. In fairness to them and after we'd told them about the weak drinks, they gave us that tequila shot in the house. We got into Lake George pretty late (10pm) and we were starving! Walked down the main drag and saw Giuseppe's still open. LOCATION: Right on the main road in Lake George. All seating is outdoors (covered) so you can't go wrong. SERVICE: The place was still busy that late at night but our service was prompt and attentive. FOOD: Portions were huge! We split a chicken parm and we couldn't finish it all. I wasn't a fan of the sauce (too chunky for my liking) - but that's just me. Fantastic food and very good service. There was a slight wait, but expected. The menu has several options within its genre of pizza and Italian food. We ordered different "family" items in the menu and everyone loved their meal. The pizza is very good with a good thickness on the crust. Their bestseller is a stuffed and rolled up eggplant. It was delicious and I would recommend this over the traditional eggplant parmigiana. Overall, we truly enjoyed our meals and so glad we stopped by.
