Average casual pizza/wings/subs restaurant. On the main strip, right next to the Marriott Courtyard. Casual atmosphere. Decent service depending on the crowd and the time of the year. Also good for take out. Pizza by the slice may or may not be good. Depends on how long the pizza has been sitting there. If it is not busy, the pizza slice may have been sitting there for a whole day, making it dried and flavorless. If you want just a slice, go earlier in the day or go when there's a high volume of traffic. Of course, if you really want a fresh slice, order a whole pizza. I would stick to the pizza, the appetizers, and the sandwiches. If you want a full Italian dinner, there are probably better places to go. If you're in the village, and want some decent, but not great food, check out Giuseppe's. For Lake George Village, this is not a bad place. read more

This spot is a gem. Being from the city, you always expect no other pizza to match up to him. But we had the pepperoni pizza pie for a lazy day at the hotel at lunch and it was clutch and flavorful. It was even better cold, that is good pizza. Didn't get a picture though. For dinner, my lady and I went back and ordered the BBQ wings "crispy". That is the only way to order them; O man! It was December 27th, a very special date for me. I went to Lake George it was part of a special weekend tour in upstate New York. Where I decided to try some Pizza in nice small restaurant. 20+ years ago, I used to come here with my family several times each summer, every year, while growing up as a kid. I remember Giuseppe's as having the best Italian food I've ever had. Having lived 3 hours away, coming to Giuseppe's was a special treat. Last Sunday afternoon, I was in the area and I saw Giuseppe's had moved locations but is still in business. I went inside and was immediately greeted by friendly staff asking if they could help me. I explained that wanted to place a large order for take-out and I was sent to the counter. I ordered several meals to bring home with me and to drop off to some relatives on the way. The guy at the register was friendly, took my order, and also gave me a 15% discount, which I thought was pretty awesome. I was told the entire order would be ready in 15-20 minutes, which was pretty fast considering what I ordered. I returned 20 minutes later and all the food was sitting on the counter, bundled in plastic containers, and bagged up. Upon my return, a different employee was waiting for me and made friendly small-talk as I picked it up. 3 hours later, I put my chicken parm in the oven and microwaved my spaghetti. This was the best Italian food I've had in a very long time. Their sauce is outstanding, but the entire meal was phenomenal. Busy pizza place in the heart of Lake George village. Giving its 40 years old history pizza could be much better. Had large margarita and was disappointed. Texture was wobbly and seems like sauce and cheese were by itself sliding off the pizza. Not a good feel and taste. I was wavering between 3/4 stars on this place, but to be honest I think I only liked what I got so much because I was absolutely famished when I ate it. Basically this is a very average Italian/pizza place, the wait was quite long to be seated, but given that we went on a Saturday night that wasn't too surprising. The seating area was vaguely unpleasant as it was very loud and it was partially outdoors so you could hear everything on the street outfront. This unpleasantness was augmented by the fact that all of the seats and tables were cheap plastic outdoor furniture pieces. The service was friendly and consistent to outweigh this and the manager/greeter inside was quite welcoming. I also disliked the fact that all of the water and drink cups were plastic. In terms of food, the place was okay. To start we had shrimp wrappers (basically just a baby shrimp and tiny piece of asparagus wrapped in thin wonton wrappers and dipped in store bought sweet chilli sauce), brusceta (simple topping with balsamic and was fairly good), and fried zucchini sticks(fresh and crunchy served with a side of standard marinara). For main courses I got the eggplant rollatini, supposedly a best seller and I would in fact recomend it, it comes with three eggplant rolls, a side of spaghetti, and 2 little bread knots. The eggplant was a tad soggy and the marinara was very run of the mill, but the ricotta, broccoli, spinach filling was quite good and made the whole dish pretty dang delicious to my empty-bellied self. I also tried my boyfriend's chicken parm, which was run of the mill, but certainly satisfying. Other members of our party got the boneless bbq wings and Greek salad which were both fairly good when I tried them, but nothing too special. In terms of pricing the place was fair, definitely nothing out of the ordinary for this type of establishment. All in all this place was pretty good, but just know what you're getting into when it comes to mediocre Italian places: okay food, friendly staff, fair prices, and overly casual setting. read more

Surprised doesn't begin to describe our delivered experience. We live in Brooklyn, pizza galore and would describe Giuseppes as traditional New York style pizza. The cheese, sauce and toppings were yum and the dough was good not a pull or very chewy but soft. We ordered half pepperoni and half bacon. I saw this restaurant while walking the village and decided to stop in for lunch and dinner. Lunch was really good we just got pizza slices. The cashier was really nice. They had a good selection to pick from and it did not take long for us to get them. We came back for dinner and had a different waitress ( maybe Ingrid I think that's what my receipt said) she was really, really nice. My mom ordered spaghetti and I ordered the penne Alfredo with chicken and broccoli and it tasted very good. The prices were very reasonable. Enjoyed the covered outdoor eating area. Our favorite place place eat while on vacation in Lake George. The pizza was delicious, the eggplant was excellent. The show stoppers were the drinks! I'm not usually a fan of Sangria but they were unique and varied in sweetness to satisfy everyone's taste. The Long Island Iced Teas alone are worth a visit!
