One of the light mechanisms in an old factory pen lamp was screwed up more than I could decipher with a voltmeter. I brought the offending light to Berkeley Lighting, and they dove in and fixed the problem with only a little bit of digging through the spare bits of a hardware box. We worked with another electrician who couldn't solve it, even after hours of troubleshooting. We even called PG&E to test the load at the main panel and everything looked good. Then we upgraded our sub-panel with the previous electrician, but the problem still kept lingering. Finally, we called Fitch Electric, and I'm so glad we did. Lucas (the owner) was extremely responsive and knowledgeable. And Cameron, the electrician who came out, was outstanding. He patiently replicated the issue, then opened and tested every switchboard until he finally found the real culprit, a bad neutral connection hidden in one of the boards. No rushing, no guesswork, just real, methodical troubleshooting. After weeks of stress and multiple dead-ends, Cameron found the actual root cause and fixed it completely.
