Its all about getting good people who can provide good services. This is something they need to work on at this location. I was born and raised in Gary, IN so I'm no stranger to deep dish pizzas. Unfortunately for the past several years I have been residing in Ohio, where this delicacy doesn't exist. I was completely gassed to have a business trip to Chicago where my dinner wasn't already planned for me. Me and a girlfriend scampered off to find a Giordano's and made a pact not to count our weight watchers points for the meal. I'm pretty sure we covered our heads with napkins during the meal, to hide our shame from God. We ordered the calamari which was crispy, hot and wonderful but not rubbery. And then we also ordered a deep dish with onions, sausage and mushrooms. It was sooooooo good and just as I remembered deep dishes tasting. There's nothing better than fixating on a dish for so long, and then once you have it, it being completely as awesome as you hoped for. My Review of Willowbrook G! Tonight we ordered a family platter of spaghetti with meat sauce. OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD! We also ordered 2 side caesar salads. OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD! So far the undisputed champion of Chicago style pizzas is.... (or 'stuffed') NOT Giordanos. Sorry but Lou Malnati's retains the belt. Don't get me wrong it was good but it was nothing special. It was thick pizza... Doesn't sound special huh? well that was my point. I ordered just a simple pepperoni to get the full flavor of the crust, sauce, and cheese. For those who don't know the crust is more of a crispy cracker type crust while Lou's is like a homemade pizza/bread flavor. I also got some garlic fries in ranch that lacked a little in the garlic department but were cooked perfectly crisp. The highlight of the meal though was the Chicago Chopped Salad, quite the combination of veggies, blue cheese, and honey mustard but it really works together. If your hesitant try it out. My first Chicago deep dish experience was just a-ok. There were alot of other deep dish places I wanted to try out, but Giordano's was the only one I could get to with my limited time here in the Chicago area. Let me first say, I LOVE CHEESE. I really do. But at Giordano's, there was just TOO MUCH CHEESE on the pizza. It's stretchy, ooey and gooey, which is tasty, until the pizza gets slightly cold. Then it just turns into a big block of cheese that one can barely digest. My boyfriend and I ordered a 2 topping small deep dish pizza. The toppings were just "meh". I barely knew I even had toppings because it was covered by a mountain of cheese! I didn't really like the cheese that was underneath the tomato sauce. It turned into a slimy mess. I did enjoy the crust, though. It's a bit flaky...and being a crust expert, I approve. Yes, I knew what I was getting myself into when I ordered a deep dish pizza. Yes, I knew that it would be alot of cheese. But in the end, I think I'll skip Giordano's and try my best to wander out to different deep dish joints, so I can find one that I can really enjoy..... read more

I'm a transplant from Ohio, so when I first came upon chicago gems such as Italian Beef and Deep Dish Pizza (not to mention what I think is some of the best steak in the nation), I was overwhelmed. This place has been my favorite deep dish pizza from the get go. I've had Lou Malnati's and others, but Giordano's always trumps them. I love the garlicky sauce (I think that's how garlicky is spelled, shut up). On top of that, their sausage and spinach is superior to others I've had, and the combo of those two with the cheese and the buttery flaky layered crust just rocks. This local Giordano's has plenty of seating, and a nice Italian restaurant atmosphere to it. The bar is decent, could use some more beer choices, but I don't expect a craft beer extravaganza from this type of place, so I'm fine with the usual Sam Adams fare. Everyone has their opinion on Deep Dish, but mine is that Giordano's is vastly superior to the others. Check this out if you're not from around here especially. read more

I admit it...I'm a pizza snob. I am very picky when it comes to my pizza and for me, Giordano's is my go-to place for stuffed spinach w/ sausage spinach. I've tried it at other places (Lou Malnati's, Connie's, local joints, pizza chains) and leave wishing I hadn't wasted my time and money. It's not that the other places were bad...it just wasn't Giordano's. I don't know what it is about Giordano's...Is it the perfect extra crust you can nibble on as you finish the piece? Is it the perfect sauce, the perfect spinach/sauce/crust/sausage ratio?? I can't put my finger on it...but there is SOMETHING about their pizza that makes me crave it. I will admit that they are a bit pricey. Each time I order it, I do take a bit of a double take at the price. Still nothing back from any customer service person on the PLASTIC I found in my food. I got my refund but again not the point. I would like someone to be concerned enough to maybe look over the procedures when cooking or prepping the pizza because plastic did get baked into my pizza and it did not magically appear out of thin air. Decided to give Giordano's Willowbrook another chance, it's been about 6 months. Horrible! Waited almost 1 1/2 hours for delivery of a medium stuffed pizza. It must've been on the bottom of the stack and the last in line for delivery! Box was completely soggy, crust beyond soggy! Very poor Quality! Our dinner was ruined! I had a positive experience here. The staff was friendly and the manager was very helpful in recommending pizza to a CA guy. The pizza was very tasty. We had a group that ordered wings, bruschetta, and the minestrone soup. All were good with the bruschetta with fresh mozzarella taking the lead. Good regional vibe here! read more

The food was excellent, but the service was horrible. We arrived around 3 pm and were the only people in the restaurant. There was a group of three servers sitting at a table when we arrived. One of them sat us, we didn't see him again for about 10-15 minutes ( he was sitting with his coworkers conversing.) He finally took our order and we didn't see him again for almost 30 minutes.... By this point our drinks us been empty for quite some time. He did have one other table show up, but the lack of paying attention to us was ridiculous. This restaurant is busy. My pizza wasn't ready exactly on time that I was to pick it up. It came out curbside pick up 10 minutes later. That was ok. However they seemed to be very disorganized on getting orders ready on time. There was a woman who waited over a half hour for her pizza. That's bad! I felt bad for her. I ended up having amazing service and a great time with my friends that I went out with! I wish I remember our servers name because he was awesome and super friendly! Very happy with my second expirence here! Update 8/25/18: Was contacted by the manager and he was totally understanding. I talked to don over the phone and he was super understanding and concerned with the service we received. I'm very happy with the timely response from management and will be back soon to ice them another try! Pizza was great, as usual but their service here was absolute ass. I went here with my nieces and nephew after swimming lessons. It took about 10 minutes till someone finally got to our table, and after wards we waited an hour and a half until our food came out! By the time the food got to our table it wasn't even hot, so I know that it was sitting out for quite sometime before hey realized we never got our food. And now imagine a 7 year old, 3 year old, and 2 year old who are tired and hungry waiting for dinner that long. It was absolute hell. I'm very disappointed with the service here. My first home-delivered was excellent which is why I'm averaging that experience with my most recent one(11/24/18). Must have caught them on a busy Saturday evening because whoever made my pizza didn't seem to have the time to put much toppings on. The service was pretty good, I guess. The waitress was nice. But when we ordered a stuffed pizza with black olives and mushrooms, along with broccoli on one half, we were surprised to find that there was only broccoli on one slice! We turned out to be ok with it because the slice with the broccoli didn't taste that great, anyway. My mother said it was kind of watery.
