My husband took me here for my birthday dinner last night and although the food was fine, the service was terrible. We ordered the sampler appetizer and a deep dish pizza. We also ordered a margarita on the rocks, which was very sweet, not strong at all. When finished, we ordered a cosmo - which we would not recommend at all. The cosmo had a strong lemon taste, we couldn't even drink it. We asked the waitress to bring out another margarita instead because the cosmo was so terrible and she said no. According to her South Elgin has a two drink per hour limit . We found it extremely hard to believe given that in past visits we've ordered multiple beers. She ended up taking the cosmo, replacing it with the margarita, but did it so rudely. This waitress rushed us out of the facility and told the table next to us that the kitchen had stopped cooking food - it was only 8pm. Food was delicious!! We had the sampler appetizer, minestrone soup, and deep dish pizza. I would recommend all three. Our waitress was wonderful. She went in the back to check when I said I was unable to find anything they offered to drink because of caffeine. she checked and found the one pop was caffeine free, which was very nice of her. Came here a few days ago for lunch with my sister and they had a cool lunch special a personalized 6inch pizza with a side I chose the fries and we got the tequila fries which were good as well. Service - Heather was hands down amazing she made our experience very memorable she was very personable and funny based on her service I'd recommend everyone to go to this location and request her as a server. Where to begin? Let's start at the beginning! First we came in on a Friday at 3:30pm, completely empty. Coming from out of town (3 hours away) and asked for a table to seat 6 people. The trendy cow bell nose pierced host sat us at a booth/table. I politely asked if we could have just tables, he said he needed to keep the tables open for others. I'm a 325lbs MAN! Finally he said "fine whatever here is two tables. Then I said there will be two bills as we have two families eating together. He again says "no we can not do separate checks" it was completely empty and we were the only people there. Not sure why it was such a big deal. Then he purposely kept passing me up for a refill and I had to finally ask for a refill. And everything had an attitude. Our friends found a coupon online and he said it wasn't for that restaurant. Our friends from out of town and state didn't realize the pepperoni comes under the cheese and they complained and he again had this attitude. Then half way thru our meal a new waitress started serving us, and she was completely rude. She started to rush us out. Here let me take those plates for you. So we had to continue to eat our food without plates cuz she took them all and silverware. Then she rushed us again and took our food and boxed it up. We wanted to sit, chat, visit, relax but she continued to rush us. Even bringing our checks before we could even order food to go. Food and service was great here. My friends and I came for dinner on a Saturday night and it wasn't crowded and we were seating right away. There are coat hooks by the booths, which is great in the winter time. Our waitress was nice and friendly. Giorndano's has great deep dish pizza and it's very filling. The crust is also crunchy and tasty. A small pizza with a couple of toppings for $20 was plenty for the 3 of us. Messed up aDoor Dash order badly. Didn't marked different sodas as diet and regular. Very rude on the phone and said the missing items were Door Dash's fault for not checking the order. They said that it was Door Dash's responsibility to replace the missing items at their expense. Very rude and disappointing service. read more

Will never order here again! I ordered online, then got a message saying they don't deliver to my address which was 2 blocks from there store. I dialed the number directly from the message that I received and placed an order over the phone, then got two pizzas delivered. I haven't eaten at this Giordano's and I don't know why. We ordered a medium stuffed sausage pizza. It was fantastic. I prefer eating deep dish pizza at a restaurant, so it doesn't get soggy. If I do carry out, I never have them cut the pizza. Service was great as was the iced tea. I will be back!! read more

SHAME! I ordered a personal pizza with four toppings and asked THREE times, do not cut. One of the toppings was missing and the pizza was cut which dries it out and cools it off too quickly. When I called back in and reach Rosanne, she refused to believe. While she was on the phone she asked her cook, who would naturally not take the fall and admit any mistake. We have ordered several delivery orders from this location and it has never been delivered between the delivery time window. We ordered last night at 7:15 and were given a delivery window of 8:05-8:15. The delivery driver arrived at 8:45. The driver did apologize, but this happens every time we order from this location. The manager of this location needs to fix this issue. We would have appreciated a call letting us know it was late or added in a free dessert or something. I just got done with lunch here. Here are my issues... First, they changed their menu. They do not have the creamy chicken and rice soup that they used to have. That was the best soup. I was a little upset that they didn't have it. Second, because they changed their menu, most of the entres do not come with soup or salad. You're essentially paying the same amount of money for less food. Not to mention that because they changed the menu, they changed certain prices on their food. It's more expensive than it was last year. Third, the waitress that we had was a little ignorant. She talked our heads off and wouldn't actually let us eat. We try and eat at Giordano's at least once a week. There Pizza is to die for. We usually order a sausage and cheese thin crust pizza. There is always loads of sausage and cheese on the pizza that comes to your table pre cut and hot. If you are a beer drinker like me you will love their ice cold draft beer served in a frozen mug. We frequently visit this pizza place and the food is consistently good. Even though it's just a pizza place, you can tell that the quality of their pizza is good based on the freshness of the ingredients. Where other pizza places can upset my stomach, I don't feel the same way after I eat their pizza. They're known for their deep dish, however we often order their thin crust. The food is filling and you won't go home hungry! The prices are a bit expensive, but this is expected from a higher quality pizza restaurant. The place is clean and the atmosphere is a nice setting with TV's hung throughout the restaurant. Wasn't the best experience I've had at this place. The server totally messed up our pizza & put toppings on it that we didn't even order. Then when he gave us the check he charged us for those extra toppings!! We had to ask him to remove the toppings off the bill. We stopped on a Sunday at lunchtime. The place was empty except for one other couple. The hubby ordered a personal pizza and I ordered spaghetti bolognese. Every time I call to order a pepperoni pizza from them, I ask for the pepperoni to be put ON TOP of the cheese - where every pizza place in the eastern time zone does. I dined here this evening with children 2 under 5 and one 8 years old. And two other adults. As we are eating my 8 year old got very upset two of the girls at the front register was watching the tv and had the channel fx on and watching twilight which is a show that wolves were eating people and a lady bleeding to death with blood everywhere so we asked one of the girls to turn the channel they did so we went to the washroom came back to finish our pizza and one of the girls turned it back on so of course I went back very stern to turn this show off. They did ok thank you. My first problem is employees shouldn't be sitting around watching tv. 2nd why would a program like that be on in the first place very tasteless. This location has really good lunch specials. The caesar salad was ok, the dressing was the star of the show. I'm never a fan of sprinkling the pizza parmesan on my caesar salad and that thing was loaded with it. The pizzas were hot and fresh, very tasty.
