We were driving through and phones in our reservation for 6 and pizza order. When we arrived the hostess seated us right away and was friendly and helpful. The table next to us was a large birthday party and just after being seated the staff came out to sing, "Happy Birthday"! It was good fun to get in our the cheering and singing. I'm rating my experience 2 stars solely based on the service. The food is always great from this location. However, our party of four was sat at a table on a Saturday night and waited 25 minutes for a server to take our drink order. The dining room was not even half way full and there were tons of staff members just standing around. Our waiter only came to the table twice, to bring us food and never asked if we needed refills. We were told the pizza would take 45 minutes to an hour, but we waited well about an hour and fifteen minutes. I am normally very understanding that not everyone is perfect and that you don't always leave a restaurant completely satisfied, but there was simply no excuse for this. read more

Tiffany provided exceptional customer service to our family. She was especially patient with our fussy toddler while we waited for our deep dish pizza to cook. So...I haven't been to Giordano's in years but I had a taste for Fettuccine Alfredo and this was one of very few options in the south burbs. So I took a chance. My first clue that this would not work out the way I planned was when I asked if I could substitute spinach for broccoli in the Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo...I was told...no. I thought that was strange since obviously a pizza place has spinach in the kitchen. I asked if the chicken was grilled...I was told yes. After adding salt, pepper, garlic powder, crushed red pepper flakes, and basil to this fettuccine at home it's still flat. How is that possible? There is no saving this dish. Then I saw that there were faint grill marks on the chicken strips but it looked and tasted like the pre-cooked "grilled" strips that you can buy in the grocery store. Clearly this chicken breast was not grilled at the restaurant. Now I know why I couldn't substitute spinach for broccoli...it's because no one is actually cooking this dish in the kitchen they are just assembling pre-cooked pre-portioned ingredients. Never again. What a waste. I also ordered the cheesy garlic bread...I thought for sure this would be good...nope. The garlic bread looks good but looks are deceiving. It was way too soft for garlic bread. Garlic bread should have a little bite to it...a little crunch...not the case here. Color me disappointed . So I reached out to the management via email like they requested after seeing my bad review...and guess what? NOTHING! Not even a response. What a joke. I've order from here 4 times now and they cant seem to get it right. Each and every time I have waited OVER an hour for delivery. I have had the wrong food brought to me twice in the same day!!! The most recent event is they gave me a wrong total when I was finished ordering and it took a manager to get on the phone with me and figure out that they put in a deep dish in the system instead of a thin crust. I explained that I was on the website and they kept saying "well i dont know why it says that because the price is X much more" I literally had to email the manager a picture of the price on the website while on the phone with him. Parking lot is crazy small and difficult to find a parking spot that's not across in the adjacent shopping strip lot. It took 45+ min for anyone to attempt to serve us in the bar area! Just wanted water while we waited for the pizza. There were, count em, 5 employees that walked by as if we were not there at all! We walked in at 7:30p and someone asked if we needed anything while waiting at 8:17p. Mind you, the place was far from busy. SMH...Customer service is subpar at best. read more

Never get deliveries from the Matteson location. It took 2 hours to receive my delivery! And the pizza was no longer warm. I called a couple of times during the 2 hour wait and was never offered an apology. Ridiculous! Hire more delivery people or use Door Dash for your deliveries. Very disappointed! I love Giordano's pizza, especially the ones in Mokena or Orland Park. This one in Matteson was not a good experience. Takes too long for your food to arrive. I placed my order through the app this evening and received my paid receipt via email. It said my pickup time was between 6:03 and 6:13 pm. I arrived at 6:15, gave my name and no one knew the status of my order. It was in the computer because the cashier saw it. After about 10 minutes a man came from the kitchen and asked me what I ordered. I showed him my emailed receipt. After another 10 minutes I was told it would be another 10 to 15 minutes. I was not given an explanation as to what happened to my order or why it wasn't made, nor was I given an apology. I finally received my order, again no apology for anything and I left. I ordered chicken parm, cheesy garlic bread and a family size lasagna and when I opened the container when I arrived home it was a single portion of lasagna . At this point, I am so irritated by the whole situation I have no desire to go back and wait again!!! Now I have to figure out how to feed my family off of one serving of lasagna . If I could give this place zero stars I would. If a mistake is made, admit it, apologize, try to make it right. Don't just pretend it didn't happen!! The service here absolutely sucks. Workers could really care less about customers. Our waitress acted as if she did not want to work. We asked for a refill on our drinks after waiting over an hour for our food. The waitress stated she would be right back but disappeared once again. After 30 minutes she walks by and we had to ask AGAIN for our drinks. Not one time were we given an update on our order from her or even asked if we were ok. Having a family celebration and decided to dine at this location. We had to wait 15 minutes to be seated on a Monday night, which was shocking. I guess no one cooks anymore. We eventually was seated but assigned a waiter that was nasty with her welcome and frustrated over her large party. She rushed with our orders without even writing it down. We sat without water or a checkin for almost 30 minutes before CANDACE saved the day....She really served us well and treated us like gold....Thank goodness she was there, and vowed to step in. Outside of her, that experience would have been terrible and would have never came back...You are in customer service for a reason...if you can't handle it...stay out the kitchen....3 Stars only because of CANDACE...GIVE THAT GIRL A RAISE!!!! read more

Well, hmmmmm, where should I begin? First off I placed an order for delivery and was told it would take 1 1/2 hours for delivery ok so I ordered anyway. Food got here with to much tomato/pizza sauce on it, the bottom was soggy because of the extra sauce (which I did not order) cheese had an great flavor and sausage was tasty too. I didn't receive an apology from them for missing the order, they blamed it on "technology in this day and age." Could have been much better. I ordered a personal size pizza for pickup and also a Tiramisu for later. When I arrived to pick up my pizza I was told it would be about 5 minutes until it was ready which was fine. While I was waiting I noticed at least 3 workers standing around talking to each other. In general this didn't bother me, but it lends itself to inattentiveness in my opinion. After 5 minutes I noticed no one of the 3 people standing around went back to check on carry-out orders. There were 3 other people who had arrived for carry-out orders and they were told even less time than me and yet even my order had not been brought out. After about 10 minutes one of them goes to the back and finally emerges with a couple of orders. After being given my order I felt like something was wrong, but I had been distracted by the wait time so I ignored it. About 5 minutes away from the restaurant I realized they forgot my Tiramisu. I'm generally understanding when things get forgotten, but when there are that many people standing around there is really no excuse in my mind. It also doesn't seem like there is any kind of system for indicating that carry-out orders are ready to be given to waiting customers. It's sad to think that McDonald's has a better system for managing orders. read more

Unbelievable....took 1 hour to get our food. When we asked the waitress she told us we had to wait for the pizza 45 mins to 1 hr. The gentleman across from us asked about his food and she told him the worked didn't revolve around him. Went and found the manager who apparently didn't care how customers were talked to or treated. Finally got the pizza 1 hour and 10 mins later but never got our ticket and when we went to the counter she just handed us the receipt and walked away leaving us standing they needing a pen to sign cc.
