So after posting our review we got a call from the manager Tony. He asked to give it another shot and offered to pay for the dinner.

I'm rating my experience 2 stars solely based on the service. The food is always great from this location. However, our party of four was sat at a table on a Saturday night and waited 25 minutes for a server to take our drink order. The dining room was not even half way full and there were tons of staff members just standing around. Our waiter only came to the table twice, to bring us food and never asked if we needed refills. We were told the pizza would take 45 minutes to an hour, but we waited well about an hour and fifteen minutes. I am normally very understanding that not everyone is perfect and that you don't always leave a restaurant completely satisfied, but there was simply no excuse for this. read more

Pizza was excellent, I definitely recommend waiting for the deep dish. Our server, Tiffany, was very accommodating and had a great personality. read more

Terrible service. Waited 20 minutes for someone to take drink orders then another 20 minutes for someone to pick up the check. Pizza also didn't taste too fresh. I also asked for half pepperoni and received all pepperoni read more

I'm the only one in my household (5 total) that likes Giordano's Pizza..that being said I convinced them to order last night..thin crust pizza from there just isn't the same as it used to be...the cheese is stiff(not stretchy) and very little sausage. I also ordered a house salad which had wilted lettuce and upon eating I discovered a label inside of my lettuce that said "Sunday." The fact that it was a Wednesday this was disturbing to see, and also to see the label mixed in my lettuce! No I didn't bother to call and complain I just won't be going back anymore. read more

Nicki is the most delightful waitress I've ever had and made my experience at Giordano's the best part of our trip to Chicago--and we hadn't even gotten our food yet. She is kind, energetic, and hilarious. This evening, Nicki shared her faith with my friends and me, opening up about how her role as a waitress was an opportunity to share her faith with any and all patrons who God puts in her way. Nicki is absolutely radiant, and if her boss sees this review, give her a massive raise. Thank you, Giordano's, for the great staff that made the pizza that much better. read more

If you're getting delivery forget about it. Ordered and the girl on the phone had a smart tone to her voice . I tell her multiple times I'm at bar Louie matteon and then she proceeds to ask me what town? I wish I got a name because for that arrogant tone she clearly wasn't that intelligent . The delivery guy was a gentleman tho read more

my server was Nikki I walked into the place she greets me like boss. great service very sweet lady. prevented us from over ordering the food. she told us how long pizza was going to take and provide us with great service. my friends first time here it was great experience. thank you again Nikki. and Giordano pizza and food is always bomb. read more

Great pizza, good wings and awesome service! Our server was very attentive and was right on time with everything needed. We will definately be back for the deep dish well done. Thanks Asia!!! read more

Tiffany provided exceptional customer service to our family. She was especially patient with our fussy toddler while we waited for our deep dish pizza to cook. Even the pizza makers were great, waving to the kids as they watched them make pizzas through the glass window. Pizza and appetizers were good too. read more

Nicki was great!!!! Provided wonderful service. Every time we are here she always makes to accommodate us. Love it here

This Location was great! Very clean and had a great staff. The food was exactly what i ordered. Delicious

So...I haven't been to Giordano's in years but I had a taste for Fettuccine Alfredo and this was one of very few options in the south burbs. So I took a chance. My first clue that this would not work out the way I planned was when I asked if I could substitute spinach for broccoli in the Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo...I was told...no. I thought that was strange since obviously a pizza place has spinach in the kitchen. I asked if the chicken was grilled...I was told yes. After adding salt, pepper, garlic powder, crushed red pepper flakes, and basil to this fettuccine at home it's still flat. How is that possible? There is no saving this dish. Then I saw that there were faint grill marks on the chicken strips but it looked and tasted like the pre-cooked "grilled" strips that you can buy in the grocery store. Clearly this chicken breast was not grilled at the restaurant. Now I know why I couldn't substitute spinach for broccoli...it's because no one is actually cooking this dish in the kitchen they are just assembling pre-cooked pre-portioned ingredients. Never again. What a waste. I also ordered the cheesy garlic bread...I thought for sure this would be good...nope. The garlic bread looks good but looks are deceiving. It was way too soft for garlic bread. Garlic bread should have a little bite to it...a little crunch...not the case here. Color me disappointed . So I reached out to the management via email like they requested after seeing my bad review...and guess what? NOTHING! Not even a response. What a joke. Why even go through the trouble of asking a former-customer to contact you if you had no intentions of responding? Thank you for absolutely nothing. To Lou Malnati's I go... read more

I've order from here 4 times now and they cant seem to get it right. Each and every time I have waited OVER an hour for delivery. I have had the wrong food brought to me twice in the same day!!! The most recent event is they gave me a wrong total when I was finished ordering and it took a manager to get on the phone with me and figure out that they put in a deep dish in the system instead of a thin crust. I explained that I was on the website and they kept saying "well i dont know why it says that because the price is X much more" I literally had to email the manager a picture of the price on the website while on the phone with him. The food is good but this will definitely be the last time ordering. Its not worth the headache. This is the only review i have ever written so take that into consideration. read more

My first time at Giordano's in Matteson and my server Nikki was great!!! Nikki is the type of server that needs to be represented at all restaurants, her personality was just so refreshing! The food was Great!! read more

Had dinner with my family of 5 on Wednesday the 6th of May. We not only had a great pizza, I felt it was pretty organized for a new place. Good luck Giordano's.....I'll be back! read more

Nicky S. was a fast and efficient server and also very friendly. The pizza was better than I remember. :)

Great food. The bartender is awesome. Ordered the thick crust pizza as well as the cheesy garlic bread. Both phenomenal

I order from here all the time. Best Giordano's pizza I've had out of the ones I've gone too. Ate in the restaurant for the first time tonight and they had the best service. Lisa was our server and she couldn't have done a better job than she did. Manager also came in to check on us as well. Well done! read more

These location has poor customer service and is rude. As if it's a bother that you came in to order a pizza. Don't go there. They have a bunch of kids working there and it's overpriced and cold when you get it. read more

Great food! Every time I'm in town I eat here and never disappointed. Nikki is a great host and always has good recommendations!

I walked in to a nice breeze and great customer service! The deep dish sausage pizza was great and my friend even had some (he usually doesn't like deep dish pizza but they changed his mind)! Will definitely be back! read more

Parking lot is crazy small and difficult to find a parking spot that's not across in the adjacent shopping strip lot. It took 45+ min for anyone to attempt to serve us in the bar area! Just wanted water while we waited for the pizza. There were, count em, 5 employees that walked by as if we were not there at all! We walked in at 7:30p and someone asked if we needed anything while waiting at 8:17p. Mind you, the place was far from busy. SMH...Customer service is subpar at best. read more

Well, hmmmmm, where should I begin? First off I placed an order for delivery and was told it would take 1 1/2 hours for delivery ok so I ordered anyway. Food got here with to much tomato/pizza sauce on it, the bottom was soggy because of the extra sauce (which I did not order) cheese had an great flavor and sausage was tasty too. I just wish they could have made the crust better. I know they are new restaurant in the area but staff needs more training,I've been hearing way to many bad reviews. read more

I placed a large order online for pickup to treat our employees to a nice lunch at the office, when we arrived to pickup the order they said they did not receive the order even though I received an email order confirmation. I didn't receive an apology from them for missing the order, they blamed it on "technology in this day and age." You'd think with "technology in this day and age" that they wouldn't be missing any orders! I will be taking my business elsewhere. Very disappointed. read more

Horrible service. Took over am hour for our food and to top it off it was cold. I know a newer restaurant has to work out its bugs but we gave it a few tries with no improvement. read more

Horrible service, we waited an hour for our pizza and they ended up having a "mistake". If I could give it a lower score I would. The staff was extremely rude, the bathrooms smelled bad and we didn't even get to eat our pizza. This restaurant makes me not want to eat at Giordano's ever again. read more

Never get deliveries from the Matteson location. It took 2 hours to receive my delivery! And the pizza was no longer warm. I called a couple of times during the 2 hour wait and was never offered an apology. Ridiculous! Hire more delivery people or use Door Dash for your deliveries. Very disappointed! The customer service sucks! read more

I love Giordano's pizza, especially the ones in Mokena or Orland Park. This one in Matteson was not a good experience. Takes too long for your food to arrive. When you ask for other items it takes forever to get them. The pizza is just ok. The cashiers are good, the service is not. I live closer to this one, but I will go to Mokena first. read more

I placed my order through the app this evening and received my paid receipt via email. It said my pickup time was between 6:03 and 6:13 pm. I arrived at 6:15, gave my name and no one knew the status of my order. It was in the computer because the cashier saw it. After about 10 minutes a man came from the kitchen and asked me what I ordered. I showed him my emailed receipt. After another 10 minutes I was told it would be another 10 to 15 minutes. I was not given an explanation as to what happened to my order or why it wasn't made, nor was I given an apology. I finally received my order, again no apology for anything and I left. I ordered chicken parm, cheesy garlic bread and a family size lasagna and when I opened the container when I arrived home it was a single portion of lasagna . At this point, I am so irritated by the whole situation I have no desire to go back and wait again!!! Now I have to figure out how to feed my family off of one serving of lasagna . If I could give this place zero stars I would. If a mistake is made, admit it, apologize, try to make it right. Don't just pretend it didn't happen!! I will not be back and I will not recommend this place to ANYBODY!!! read more

The service here absolutely sucks. Workers could really care less about customers. Our waitress acted as if she did not want to work. We asked for a refill on our drinks after waiting over an hour for our food. The waitress stated she would be right back but disappeared once again. After 30 minutes she walks by and we had to ask AGAIN for our drinks. Not one time were we given an update on our order from her or even asked if we were ok. Food was good but because of the horrible customer service-we will NOT be returning to this location. Please hire more customer friendly workers who actually care about their jobs!! read more

Terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible service. Average at best food capped off with absurd wait times and rude employees. I will never set foot in this place again. read more

Having a family celebration and decided to dine at this location. We had to wait 15 minutes to be seated on a Monday night, which was shocking. I guess no one cooks anymore. We eventually was seated but assigned a waiter that was nasty with her welcome and frustrated over her large party. She rushed with our orders without even writing it down. We sat without water or a checkin for almost 30 minutes before CANDACE saved the day....She really served us well and treated us like gold....Thank goodness she was there, and vowed to step in. Outside of her, that experience would have been terrible and would have never came back...You are in customer service for a reason...if you can't handle it...stay out the kitchen....3 Stars only because of CANDACE...GIVE THAT GIRL A RAISE!!!! read more

Love the staff and food! Staff is always nice and attentive to their customers. I live in the city but come to the Matteson location for the great customer service! read more

Horrible. Absolutely horrible. The only reason that I am even giving it two stars as opposed to the worst possible one star is only a direct result of the fact that the service was good. The pizza itself was absolutely atrocious. But, first, let me discuss the appetizer (cheese sticks). These were bland and tasted like they had been fried in day old oil. The thin crust pizza was the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten and we actually only ate two pieces before taking the rest home and throwing it away. The deep dish had the absolute worst crust imaginable. It almost tasted like a saltine cracker and a stale graham cracker mated. If that were possible, then it explains the lack of any type of taste and texture inadequacy that this pie had. Many other great locations (and one just 15 minutes away in Mokena). Save yourself the pain and go there because the expensive bill is so not worth it here. read more

Some of the best deep dish pizza ever!!! I enjoyed the service at the Matteson location. And the food was good!!
