Ok food and Lots of variety! Definitely will come back. The crab legs are very popular!

If you're looking for sheer variety, Giza Buffet definitely delivers. They have a massive spread with a huge selection of items to choose from, so everyone in your group should easily find something they like. Most of the standard buffet dishes were surprisingly good and pretty fresh. That said, there are a few areas where it falls short: The Hibachi: I'd skip the hibachi station entirely. It wasn't up to par with the rest of the buffet and isn't really worth the wait. Service: The staff wasn't bad, but they weren't particularly attentive either...just kind of indifferent, neither here nor there. The Restrooms: As is unfortunately typical for a lot of high traffic buffets, you'll definitely want to stay away from the bathroom if you can avoid it. Overall, it's a decent option in Gastonia if you want a lot of food options at a reasonable pace, but stick to the main buffet lines and keep your expectations grounded. read more

At first glance, things are bright, and you are greeted with several rows of food... "this might be alright", I thought. Narrator: it wasn't alright. I'm not sure if it was the time of day I visited or what (about 4p on a weekday), but the food tasted like it had been sitting out most of the day, had no taste at all, or tasted soapy. The hibachi was not well stocked with meats, the beef was completely gone and not much chicken was left. It wasn't busy, but most staff was found to be on their phones, hibachi included. It gave the perception that they did not want to be bothered. Wait staff seemed to be attentive, however. I may give it another shot at a busier time, but dang, $21 for a dinner buffet is hard to swallow, especially with similar buffets nearby going for $6 less. read more

The server was friendly. The food was average at best. A great deal of variety but nothing that I went back to try again. Was in and out in about 20 minutes. read more

The inside and outside is very beautiful. Inside, there are a lot of food items around, but after walking around and sampling a lot of them, most of the food was not kept very hot at all, and tasted quite mid. The hibachi bar was the only thing I found to be pleasant. The servers are nice at least. read more

Goons weren't goonin, but sushi slapped and fried rice smacked. Crab legs? Mid heat. 3rd try.

No one spoke good English so they didn't understand the party we were with and who was paying. No clear instructions. Place was clean but food from buffet was cold. Eventually Got drinks but no straw. Large selection of food. Hibachi cook was nice but food was salty. Staff was not nice and it may be due to language barrier. Not a place we will come back to. read more

All seafood is available after 4 PM and the weekends only. The sushi bar was amazing, tips are optional at the end of the bar. Great flavor, lots of soup options. Love the dumpling options and bao buns! read more

For $18.99, this buffet has great value, we went on Saturday night, they were busy and food comes out fast. They have Sushi, hibachi, all kinds of seafood, Asian can drinks, and most importantly Crab legs. The crab legs was good in quality, sushi was ok ( just don't get that Wasabi roll, that just look scary), all the other food tasted great. The place mostly clean. If it wasn't the low price I will give it three stars. If I am in the area will go back, but I won't go out of my way to eat here. Again great value. read more

I was excited to try this new buffet that serves hibachi, sushi, and seafood. The price point is different for lunch vs dinner. There is also various prices for children over the age of 1. We were taken to our table and drink orders were taken; then we were able to go get food. Honestly, I was disappointed with my food experience here. I came for crab legs, sushi, and hibachi. They have a wide variety of food options but none of them were quality. The sushi is all served cold (even the tempura). The crab legs were overcooked to the point that the meat was difficult to get out the shell. Which ended up being a lot of cracking but hardly getting anything. The hibachi was decent depending on the staff who cooked it. My main issue with the hibachi was the set up. The meat, rice, noodles, veggies etc are all out but there isn't protocol on how you put it on the plate. I can just see cross contamination incident happening. The decor beautiful and vibe is decent. If they focused on food quality more this could be a good spot. read more

Ginza Buffet is the new it girl in Gastonia. Everyone is rushing to try this Chinese AYCE buffet under new management with a new makeover. While waiting the couple next me drove 1:30 because they saw them advertised on Facebook! There are a lot of areas they can improve in from start to finish. We got there at 5pm. We were quoted a 2-3 hour wait time. Our party of 6 was seated in 27 minutes. The pager system is currently post it notes with numbers written on them. The host staff gives you a post it, writes down the size of your party and the number. Then the host staff calls out the numbers when the table is ready. People are crowded in the walkway and entrance. When taken to your seat, the host takes you with plastic forks (for you to eat with) and ask you what you want to drink. They ask how many in your party and write your ticket. My whole party wasn't there and I asked to wait for my whole party to arrive before we gave our drink order. The hostess kept asking and pressing the issue. I finally said it and she got the point and left saying our server would finish. There are no menus. My sister said we would all have water but asked our server if the kids meal came with a drink. The server said yes. So my niece got a Dr. Pepper. This is important because at the end of the meal we were charged for the drink and when asking the server about the drink he suddenly didn't understand. There was a language disconnect and another customer who spoke mandarin tried to come assist. It was kinda embarrassing because the server was getting loud with us but my sister was just trying to understand how she was charged for a drink when the server said the children meal came with a drink. A few other issues I observed that are definitely health risk are sushi that was prepared and sitting out on a cart uncovered and that looked like it wasn't on any ice or refrigeration. Then while standing in line for my Hibachi the cook saw a plate of white rice that had been left on top of the counter in front of the grills. He took the rice and added it back to the rice container on the raw food line that you grab for the Hibachi. So yes Ginza is well decorated and has all the bells and whistles (AYCE sushi, crab leg, and crawfish) but there are loads of areas they need to improve in. Wow this is probably one of the best buffets I've ever been to. Love the fake cherry blossom trees outside of the building and inside was stunning. There were so many options, I was a bit overwhelmed and wanted to try everything. The lighting and decor is beautiful inside. Everything I tasted was delicious. My favorite was the crab legs, steamed fish, raw sashimi, and fried chicken. It was very clean and our server Greg was pleasant. I can't wait to come back and it's one of the best prices for all you can eat including crab legs. read more

New and Improved. Haven't been here in a minute, but recently returned. New interior and everything. Great food options and the hibachi is awesome. Decent price for ALL you get. Great service. Really enjoyed it and def coming back. read more

I would have given 5 stars but some of the food on the buffet was cold, especially the Chinese options at the back. The hibachi bar was good with a lot of options. Sushi was fresh and very good, they have soy paper and seaweed options which makes me happy. Music was very diverse, I would rather hear something of the culture but it's ok. Our waiter was working so hard, kept our drinks filled up. If you do come expect a wait, they do not have a good system to seat people, you come in and they give sticky notes with numbers on them, it's hard to get in and out with so many people and hardly any seating for those waiting. Is it worth the wait, that's the question? I would come during the week, I came on a Saturday at 4. read more

Did the buffet to go (by weight) option. Sushi quality was decent for ~$8/lb I think, and convenient to come in and pick what I wanted

Food was decent. There was a lot of variety. It was very busy so stations were a bit of a mess but overall it was a good experience.

Everything!!!! Went here 2x and food was great! From soup to Habachi all is fresh and service is great

When this place first opened it was fabulous. Each item on the Buffet was different and wonderful flavor profiles . They really put effort into dishes now everything taste the same. Flavors all melted together. Sushi is only saving grace. My husband used to love this place, but it has lost a lot of the allure. Hire the cooks back that y'all had when you opened. read more

If you're not looking to read everything, yes I recommend it. I went on a Sunday and it was $18.99 per person for all day dinner. You get what you pay for, I'll be talking about this. You get to the place and from what I've seen on the pictures on here, there is a line of people outside waiting to be seated. That was not the case for me, the line was inside, really good for the cold. The wait for me and my partner was about 15 to 20 minutes. We finally got seated after hearing our number called out. The place was decorated in an ocean type of style having whales and another sea animal in the form of lights hanging from the ceiling. Very pretty. The place was pretty clean and the service was pretty attentive, at least they were to other people. The food area was decently clean. Onto the food, there was a wide selection of foods. The snow crab legs were sweet and perfect. And don't get too excited hearing this, they have seafood crackers so you don't get too dirty. The food was perfectly cooked and at a perfect temperature. There was also a wide variety of sushi you can choose from not to mention you can ask them to cook something for you on the stop. Overall, I'd recommend this place if you're looking for a wide variety of foods. I would not recommend this place if you're looking to come in and start eating straight away. And maybe it's not like this everyday, again, I did come on a Sunday so that might have been the problem. Was it worth $19, yes it was. read more

This is the best Asian buffet I've been to in NC. It atmosphere is very modern and gorgeous inside. I was surprised it is a bit hidden in the back side of a shopping center, but it was moderately crowded at the time of our arrival. The buffet options are absolutely huge! They have the largest fresh made sushi bar I've seen at a buffet, and snow crab legs which disappeared in most Asian buffets 15-20 yrs ago! I absolutely cannot believe that I was able to eat all the crab legs I wanted for $18.99! They kept coming out fresh and piling them on as well. Obviously, they aren't going to be top tier quality crab legs, but still good for the price. One other thing I immediately recognized was the hospitality of the staff. Our waitress was amazing and kept the finished plates off of the table, and our drinks filled. She was very friendly and attentive. Ginza was definitely worth the drive outside of Charlotte while visiting the area. read more

Ginza buffet is a new restaurant in Gastonia, and it has now become one of my favorite restaurants!!! Beautiful setting with lots of food options to select from. All the food also tasted great. Only complaint about the food was the crab leg, it's a bit overcooked so some legs you have to work a little harder to get the meat out. We also went with a bigger party of 10 and was sat a a table next to another large party which made it kind of tight for us but we made it work and that won't stop us from coming back as everything else here exceeded my expectation. read more

We were actually pretty disappointed. A lot of our food was cold even though it was quite busy. There also wasn't a much variety. I feel like there wasn't as much "Chinese buffet" options that you would typically see. There was a variety but it includes a lot of american food, fruit, and specialty stuff such as squid. We were also confused if the canned drinks, ice cream, and crab legs were included and since our waitress couldn't speak English she couldn't really answer. For 3 of us it was $77 and the food just didn't justify the price. read more

Food was good and HOT! Not many buffets provide that. Good variety of cold and hot food. Plenty of crab legs.

Amazing food. Clean and great service. Worth going to. Freshest sushi. Great selection for anyone. So great.

Great food selection is outstanding and way beyond what any one person could possibly want

Food was ok but most wasn't hot. Maybe they were having a tough time today. I think we'll stay with Dynasty instead. read more

This restaurant was a little hard to find, it is at the back of the strip mall. Look for all the artificial blooming pink cherry trees in the parking lot and you are there.! I have never seen a hibachi buffet with as many items on it . There is a huge variety, the serving buffets are kept filled and clean. Because of the number of dishes available, it was not the best quality that I've ever eaten . All the fried appetizers tasted the same, there was an odd flavor in the batter. If you want to eat " for volume" it is worth the price because of the amount of food. I wouldn't mind paying a little bit more for less variety and tastier dishes. read more

Food was out of this world very hot and fresh... The waitress was attentive as well. It's very well lit and very calm .,.
