The shrimp fried rice is the best around in my opinion. Have not had any other food here so I can't comment on that but this is my go to place for shrimp fried rice. I love Chinese food, my husband "likes" it, but I LOVE it. We hail from Chicago, where you can get Chinese food all over the place, not so much down south, and not so much "great food". We had been going to a different place, and we liked it a lot, even though it had terrible ratings on here. I personally loved their food, I am limited in what I can order due to allergies I have, and as a precaution I generally load up on an anti allergy med before eating. It was my husband who pointed out that 2000 Cafe was Asian food and I got very excited to try it, we do not eat out a lot, I generally do our own stir fry in house to control sodium and such, so I was excited when he agreed to order, and welcoming I usually order from there when he goes out of town. The food is more than plentiful, when I say that I am not joking, I literally get 3-4 meals out of my 1 take out order. Hubby gets about 2-3 depending upon how hungry he is. It tastes awesome, is ready fast, is not terribly expensive, and is close to our house. I love them! Period, would DEFINITELY recommend !!! read more

Excellent Chinese food. I will drive out if my way to stop here. I prefer spring rolls but they have the best eggs rolls I've ever had- made from scratch. I ordered one because I saw them assembling them in the kitchen and they are excellent. I have tried Hunan Beef and Kim Pao chicken so far and not items were fantastic. My meal was very good for fast food Americanized Chinese. Rice, Szechuan beef, and egg roll. Value was outstanding. $8 with a drink for a good deal of food - just hiked 6 miles up and down the local mountains so I was hungry. Deserved 4 stars for food but the cleanliness is lacking. Floors were dirty, they dont move the tables when cleaning them so it's really dirty under the table feet. Table tops were not thoroughly cleaned. Shame cuz food is good. They should take a day and do a deep scrubbing. read more

Potentially the best Chinese food in Gaston County. I've recently moved to Bessemer City, and tried almost all the Chinese restaurants around, and this is easily the best one. I've read other reviews complaining about the egg rolls, but my egg roll was perfect, just like the General Tso's chicken. read more

The food was horrible. My family and I ordered the shrimp egg foo young and it was salty and dry along with the regular fried rice it dry and tasteless. Usually when we order the food it was hot and great and we could eat it for day. The sweet and sour chicken was dry and the sauce was bitter and nasty. Plus me and my sister ordered some honey chicken not too long ago and we called because we didn't receive it the people said that we could get a store credit and get it free the next time along with pork eggroll they missed. Instead they argued with us and said that they didn't say that along with the saying what we did and did not order and we looked at the receipt and saw there were supposed to be two orders the last time and when we went there we showed the and they argued with us some more. However the honey chicken was great. Lastly I would not recommend this restaurant. They had new staff that would disrespect you, they barely want to give back a refund. I warn you some of our food was half cooked and I found spit in my food. DO NOT EAT!! read more

The customer service is poor. This is the second time that I had to make a complaint with them and they repeatedly argue back. I let them know that I placed an order before coming and they took an hour to have the food ready when they said 15 minutes. The first time I let a lady know that I was missing an item and she kept saying that is what it should have instead of trying to listen to what my order consisted of and showed on the receipt. My favorite Chinese to go place! The lady who normally runs the place is very on top of things. I have a large family, so our orders are fairly large and she always makes sure we have everything we ordered. I don't think we have ever had anything missing or wrong. Even though they are always busy, they are quick and efficient and the food is always great!! You definitely get a good amount of food for your money. Very disappointed. I have been ordering from there for years with no problem. Today I called in my order and was totally disillusioned with the food. I ordered Honey Chicken but to my surprise half of the chicken was bone not chicken. I have always trusted 2000 Café but not any longer. It was a little chicken and a lot of bone bits and pieces. I would think that in view of the COVID 19 alert, they would strive to continue their quality to insure the business when the restaurant can open fully.
