Food is good, Me and my husband love coming to eat here. Sushi is great as well, the only thing that bothers me is the service from Waitress Cindy, Twice now she brings the check before we are done eating and waits around us while we are still eating to pick up the check. I'm not one to complain but i've always witness her do this to other people and i just find it rude, Usually waitresses/waiters wait for the customers to finish eating then ask if they want the check brought out to them. We stopped in for lunch during the week. At first glance, this place is huge where there are literally rows and rows of buffet food to choose from!! It's like you don't even know where to start first. So it is best to walk through the entire thing to figure out what you want. If you just start at the 1st row and fill your plate you'll probably become full by the time you hit the 2nd or 3rd row of food when there could be more items there that you want but haven't saved any room in your stomach for since they have desserts as well. The price was extremely fair for what you got. My only negative is that it seemed repetitive because it was like chicken 15 different ways. I would have expected to see more pork, beef, and fish. there was maybe one dish of each of those, but chicken multiple times in every row. You are better off to eat it there because if you do take out, they charge you by weight so you're better off to find the time stop in and sit down for this meal. read more

First timer here. Went here after doing some shopping with my Mom. I was sad to see no sushi offered at this time because of covid. They had a good assortment of hot foods as well as the deasert bar area. When we arrived most of the food was low and items were picked over. The cheese won tons had been sitting there for while. I am not big on these kinds of buffets everything is much better fresh. The Chinese food when it gets cold or been sitting is just not that good. We agreed we would not go back here. The place was busy enough to keep the food fresh, by the time we were ready to leave they had all fresh food out. They did offer gloves and sanitizer to use in between They do offer a senior discount. read more

Dynasty Buffet is a high quantity, low quality chinese buffet. It's exactly what you expect from a place like this. The food is overly greasy, not very flavorful, but is extremely plentiful and coated in enough sugar and oil to satisfy your taste buds. Make sure you arrive extremely hungry and eat your fill. Take your time. The buffet is very affordable and amazing value for how little you pay. All of the fried chicken and stir fry beef dishes were tasty. Really enjoyed the seafood delight as well as the garlic chicken and beef with broccoli. The hibachi section is probably the best part of the restaurant since the food is cooked to order and put on your plate steaming hot. The hibachi dishes are pretty bland since the sauce doesn't stick to the food properly and just drains off the oily food scraped off the grill. The salad bar and fresh vegetables were old, wilted, and gross. Do not bother. The dessert bar was stale, hard, and challenging to chew through. My son and I went here. He finds something wrong with almost every buffet we go to. This one, however, took us both by surprise. We went a lil aft 12. Everything was fresh. I took my plate to get cooked and the chef made it to perfection. The sauce was right for it all. No greasy noodles, shrimp, steak and broccoli. We're going a second time in a row. It wasn't too crowded so we were able to sit in peace. Haven't been for the dinner to see if the sushi or crab legs are good yet. Quite a few steam tables here at Dynasty and they were doing a great job of keeping them fresh and filled during the lunch rush. Even with most of the tables filled and a lot of people coming and going, the buffet was kept quite clean. Sushi was meh with a small selection and nothing especially creative. The rice was not the right kind but they were certainly trying. Service was excellent. So it appears that Dynasty Buffet has moved to a different strip mall & now has a stand alone building. In their favor there is plenty of room for a good sized crowd of people. Much like the last time I was here I was railroaded by my wife into going because, " we are taking my cousin out for Christmas." The food hasn't changed. Its stunningly average Chinese American fare with a lot more American dishes like mac and cheese and hot dogs. The vast majority of the dishes were chicken based with a few seafood dishes thrown in. Beef was nearly non-existent. The sushi was poorly cut and raggedy, but the worst dish was the hot & sour soup. It was hot temperature wise, but it had a flavor that reminded me of soap. The part of the meal I enjoyed the most were the little Hoodsie cups of Hershey ice cream. I had two of the coffee and two chocolate. The coffee cups were foam & the spoon tore right through them. I go to Dynasty Buffet every Saturday night after work. I don't get refills on tea very often and tonight was no exception. I usually would have to wait a long time to receive my bill, but tonight was one of those times that they were running me out. Also I was seated behind a family that was playing a podcast or some show very loudly on their phone at the table. DISGUSTING!!! Everything was room temperature or cold on the bar. Nothing hot like it should have been. The health department will have a field day with that. It was so greasy we couldn't eat it. I took 4 bites and felt like I was going to vomit. Talked to the waitress about it and she brought Ling to the table who looked to be the owner. She wouldn't take my meal off the check. Not bad, but pretty much your generic buffet. A lot of the menu items are good for what they are. The seaweed salad is good, kimchi is good, baby octopus salad is good, the sauteed crab is good. The hibachi grill is pretty good for if you want something freshly cooked. The wontons are good, the crab ragoons are good, the mushrooms are good. A lot of it is as good as generic asian takeout. The sushi is hit or miss. They had eel which was nice, but all the other nigiri was either poorly cut or had been out to long, as it was dry and flavorless. The tuna is thats what it was, was some of the worst I've ever and I've had pretty good at some buffets. I guess they don't sell enough sushi here or something to justify investing it. Still a good place to go to spend time with family and to get a value for price meal. So I reccomend. read more

It's a Buffay that is no longer suppling the gloves to wear while getting your food, however, all the employees are walking around wearing facemask and wearing gloves. It's almost out of reach for me economically ( nearly 15 bucks on Sunday) but after watching people stupidly waste food I understand why it's that much. The place feels and looks clean. That's nice. Service is good. Food is general good but several dishes were cold and should not have been. Sushi is great. Crab rangoons were cold and tough. The Hershey Ice Cream box is very good- many choices. Meat dishes were very tasty and the green beans were refreshing and perfectly cooked. This place is amazing. 7.99 for the buffet lunch and I wasn't even able to sample everything before I was full. They have a wide variety of foods for everyone. The place looks immaculate. Their sanitation rating is 95 which is damn good. I love the way they did their Crab Rangoon with the honey in it. So good. There were a couple things I didn't think tasted that good, but they were very fresh so no issues there. They have a Hibachi grill that looks amazing and a very extensive sushi bar for all your sushi needs. They have everything you could possibly want and more and I will for sure be coming back here often. If you're looking for an affordable Chinese buffet in Gastonia... I wouldn't even bother with anywhere else. This place is heaven for the Chinese food fanatic. read more
