We stopped in for lunch during the week. At first glance, this place is huge where there are literally rows and rows of buffet food to choose from!! It's like you don't even know where to start first. So it is best to walk through the entire thing to figure out what you want. If you just start at the 1st row and fill your plate you'll probably become full by the time you hit the 2nd or 3rd row of food when there could be more items there that you want but haven't saved any room in your stomach for since they have desserts as well. The price was extremely fair for what you got. My only negative is that it seemed repetitive because it was like chicken 15 different ways. I would have expected to see more pork, beef, and fish. there was maybe one dish of each of those, but chicken multiple times in every row. You are better off to eat it there because if you do take out, they charge you by weight so you're better off to find the time stop in and sit down for this meal.

First timer here. Went here after doing some shopping with my Mom. I was sad to see no sushi offered at this time because of covid. They had a good assortment of hot foods as well as the deasert bar area. When we arrived most of the food was low and items were picked over. The cheese won tons had been sitting there for while. I am not big on these kinds of buffets everything is much better fresh. The Chinese food when it gets cold or been sitting is just not that good. We agreed we would not go back here. The place was busy enough to keep the food fresh, by the time we were ready to leave they had all fresh food out. They did offer gloves and sanitizer to use in between They do offer a senior discount.

I go here for the salmon sushi. It's my favorite buffet in Gastonia. They also have great chicken wings, sugar rolls, cheesy crab meat, tiramisu.

It is always good and consistent with serving size and quality. I absolutely love the hot and sour soup and shrimp fried rice.

So I'm wondering where the taste buds of the people who left positive reviews are. Because I can…read morehonestly say this is the worst pork fried rice I've ever had. I mean, it's palatable if you're hungry, but if I want to enjoy good fried rice, this isn't it. First, it's not cooked completely, so yay for eating semi-hard, raw rice. Secondly, it definitely seemed they just put the pork on top of an already half-made fried rice. I found myself using ALOT of the duck sauce and soy sauce. The rice was with the butterfly shrimp; the breading is by far one of the worst I'vehad, and to add, how does fried shrimp actually get mushy internally? I ended up throwing away the five shrimp that were left because I couldn't handle the mushy mess. I also wasn't sure the egg roll that came with my husband's order would be good, so that went in the trash as well. My husband had the General Tso's chicken and pork fried rice. We asked for it extra spicy, extra sauce, and um, the spice is a joke. He said the General Tso's was subpar, something you would eat if you were starving. We had fried cheese wontons that tasted as if they were reheated in a microwave. You know how breading, like on pizza or bread in general, gets chewy when heated in a microwave. I feel bad for having to write this review, but I don't only post negative reviews. I post honest reviews that tell you the good, the bad, and the ugly, and I can honestly say this restaurant is now on my list of places I will "NEVER GO" again. When my husband went to get the food, I'd say at least they were very nice. The restaurant itself could definitely benefit from some repairs. But if the food is of such low quality, I would definitely focus on that. So, yes, this is my honest review and opinion.

In Gastonia, where most local Asian establishments choose to shutter their doors on Mondays, Jia…read moreremains a shining sanctuary of availability. This consistency is not merely convenient: it's a commitment. We had ordered a side of crunchy noodles, unaware that every bowl of Wonton Soup arrived already accompanied by them. The result was a surplus that we gladly consumed and saved more for leftovers. The soup itself was a masterclass in nostalgia: steaming, plump dumplings submerged in a broth with a strong pleasant flavor punctuated by the sharp fresh bite of scallions. For the main course, I explored the Bulgogi Steak, served with tortillas. The meat possessed a surprising, sophisticated sweetness, nestled amongst a garden of onions so plentiful they promised to enrich several meals yet to come. My companion's Dinner Sushi Combo was equally impressive; the sashimi featured generous, thick cuts of fish that spoke of undeniable quality and freshness. Even the beverages offered their own narrative. The Hot Tea was bitter yet pleasant, a sharp contrast to the Southern Sweet Tea, which remains a high standard of local craft. While the Crispy Calamari leaned heavily into salt and onion, and the Crab Rangoons were reliably filling, the overall experience far exceeded the baseline of fusion dining. The Verdict: Jia Asian Fusion & Sushi Bar does more than merely occupy a slot on a Monday calendar; it excels. It provides high-quality, fresh ingredients and nostalgic comforts at a time when the rest of the city's culinary scene has largely gone quiet. Between the "unholy" generosity of the portions and the technical precision of the sashimi, it remains a staple of my consistent rotation for a reason. Rating: 5/5 Stars
