Orange chicken with vegetable Regular Lo Mein, crab ragoons and steamed dumplings

Their food is amazing. Vegetables had a lot of flavor and the crab ragoons were super crispy, you also get a lot of chicken with the combinations. Highly recommend!

Christmas dinner! Orange chicken and honey chicken???(I ordered General Tso's) With egg roll, crab Rangoon's, and fried rice.

7/18 Update: They have a fantastic process to protect their staff during COVID! They have installed a wall between the counter and dinning area. Yum! This was my first time here and I picked it mostly based on the health score, proximity, and the fact it was open on Christmas. The place was slammed but they were cranking out food quickly. I ordered a general tso's combo (friend rice and an egg roll), orange chicken with white rice, and crab rangoon. I ended up wIth most of my order.... the general tso ended up and maybe a honey chicken or something. The honey chicken was good but it was super similar to the orange chicken I already ordered so that was a bit of a bummer. The orange chicken was awesome and had just a hint of heat. I LOVED the fried rice, loved. The egg roll was kinda lame to be honest. The crab rangoons were pretty good but got steamed up in the container on the way home so the wonton was a bit wet. Overall a win for cheap Chinese takeout. I only give a 4 because I ended up with the wrong dish (granted they were busy but I really wanted to try tow different tasting dis

Mongolian beef in front - yummy and dragon and Phoenix in back which was ok

I was really craving Chinese food and found this place on yelp. It's not much of a dine in place since we were the only ones eating there on a Friday night. I had the Mongolian beef with fried rice and hubby had the dragon and Phoenix. The Mongolian beef was good, not spicy though. Would have like it actually spicy! Dragon and Phoenix which is general Tso's chicken and Szechuan shrimp. I thought the chicken was extra sweet but the shrimp was good. The helpings are huge especially for how much you pay! Definitely coming again!!

The food was excellent and they accommodated my quirky request with the greatest of ease. I think I found my new favorite spot.

Great takeout Chinese! Consistently good no matter what we order and usually ready within 20 minutes.

The food was good I just felt like it was pretty over priced for what we got. Not sure if we will be back.

Food is delicious. The only drawback is that you have to call your order in instead of placing it online.

So I'm wondering where the taste buds of the people who left positive reviews are. Because I can…read morehonestly say this is the worst pork fried rice I've ever had. I mean, it's palatable if you're hungry, but if I want to enjoy good fried rice, this isn't it. First, it's not cooked completely, so yay for eating semi-hard, raw rice. Secondly, it definitely seemed they just put the pork on top of an already half-made fried rice. I found myself using ALOT of the duck sauce and soy sauce. The rice was with the butterfly shrimp; the breading is by far one of the worst I'vehad, and to add, how does fried shrimp actually get mushy internally? I ended up throwing away the five shrimp that were left because I couldn't handle the mushy mess. I also wasn't sure the egg roll that came with my husband's order would be good, so that went in the trash as well. My husband had the General Tso's chicken and pork fried rice. We asked for it extra spicy, extra sauce, and um, the spice is a joke. He said the General Tso's was subpar, something you would eat if you were starving. We had fried cheese wontons that tasted as if they were reheated in a microwave. You know how breading, like on pizza or bread in general, gets chewy when heated in a microwave. I feel bad for having to write this review, but I don't only post negative reviews. I post honest reviews that tell you the good, the bad, and the ugly, and I can honestly say this restaurant is now on my list of places I will "NEVER GO" again. When my husband went to get the food, I'd say at least they were very nice. The restaurant itself could definitely benefit from some repairs. But if the food is of such low quality, I would definitely focus on that. So, yes, this is my honest review and opinion.

In Gastonia, where most local Asian establishments choose to shutter their doors on Mondays, Jia…read moreremains a shining sanctuary of availability. This consistency is not merely convenient: it's a commitment. We had ordered a side of crunchy noodles, unaware that every bowl of Wonton Soup arrived already accompanied by them. The result was a surplus that we gladly consumed and saved more for leftovers. The soup itself was a masterclass in nostalgia: steaming, plump dumplings submerged in a broth with a strong pleasant flavor punctuated by the sharp fresh bite of scallions. For the main course, I explored the Bulgogi Steak, served with tortillas. The meat possessed a surprising, sophisticated sweetness, nestled amongst a garden of onions so plentiful they promised to enrich several meals yet to come. My companion's Dinner Sushi Combo was equally impressive; the sashimi featured generous, thick cuts of fish that spoke of undeniable quality and freshness. Even the beverages offered their own narrative. The Hot Tea was bitter yet pleasant, a sharp contrast to the Southern Sweet Tea, which remains a high standard of local craft. While the Crispy Calamari leaned heavily into salt and onion, and the Crab Rangoons were reliably filling, the overall experience far exceeded the baseline of fusion dining. The Verdict: Jia Asian Fusion & Sushi Bar does more than merely occupy a slot on a Monday calendar; it excels. It provides high-quality, fresh ingredients and nostalgic comforts at a time when the rest of the city's culinary scene has largely gone quiet. Between the "unholy" generosity of the portions and the technical precision of the sashimi, it remains a staple of my consistent rotation for a reason. Rating: 5/5 Stars
